HSL Chairs - Truro Reviews 

I had great help choosing a chair, by Fred, at the Truro shop. He explained my options and made the process easier to satisfy my requirements.
Chair was duly ordered on 25.01.26. It arrived on 02.03.26. The delivery was excellent, with polite and helpful explanation of chair controls. Great service quality from all at HSL.

I took my mother to find a riser recliner chair at our local HSL store. Staff were helpful, informative and sensitive to her needs.
Would high recommend.
We were offered refreshments and biscuits!

We received a very friendly and informative guide to help make our choice of an armchair. We were able to sit and try at our leisure many choices and were there for two hours making up our mind.

The branch staff in Truro. On our first visit in January Maria was incredibly patient, encouraging us to try out every single design and size in the showroom for comfort. On a return visit a couple of weeks later, Helen and Tom were equally helpful and efficient, taking us through all the available options for the chairs we had chosen. Faced with the difficult task of selecting a fabric that would harmonise with two sofas we are keeping, Helen's superb colour sense proved a boon, even if we have ended up with a rather high end fabric! Sincere thanks to all involved.
I might add that we chose HSL over competitors because HSL have opted to maintain a showroom in the far southwest.
HOWEVER . . . it is now three weeks past the latest delivery date promised at point of sale, and even after three phone calls our furniture still hasn't arrived. Problem seems to be their delivery company (HSL don't have their own transport). Now promised for Monday - we'll see.

Went to HSL Truro this morning to help a lady I support with MS look at a new reclining chair.
Right from the moment we stepped into the showroom we were greeted with kindness by Fred.
After explaining what we were looking for my friend tried a few chairs and after going through the needs we required from a chair, a lovely cuppa and biscuit (sorry don’t know the name of the lovely lady who lives in my village), we discussed everything with Fred and a chair has been purchased.
At no time did we feel pressured into making any decisions we weren’t happy with and their customer service was second to none!
I also very much enjoyed checking out the chairs🤣

Wonderful, personalised service for my 92 year old Mother. The staff were so professional, kind and patient. Maria was especially helpful and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend the staff and shop to others. Looking forward to a hassle free delivery.

Despite a slight phone number mix up, our new sofa arrived in the allotted time window. The two guys, Martin and Leon, unpacked it in the street at the van, carefully carried it in and assembled it in situ in the lounge. They were skilled at what they were doing and careful, they put the completed sofa in position, gave us the paperwork and care pack, then packed up all the packaging and went on their way. Excellent service from a goodteam. The sofa is great, lovely colour, looks smart and importantly is comfortable

It made all the difference being able to see a range of options in one place, to be able to sit on a variety of sofas and feel the benefit of different styles. One model stood out, so selection became easy. The 'out-of town' site made parking easy. Having an assistant to take us through the differences between models, and the options available for each model.

Ordered and delivered in 7 days.
Great service whilst ordering and delivery with Jason and Ashley was efficient, polite and friendly. Took away all packaging and chair tested.

No wonder the Truro branch was awarded top HSL store in 2024! A warm welcome from Helen and Tom, and an excellent walk through on the products available for my Mum. Both members of staff were so informed and kind to her - helping her select the right product for her. At no stage were we pressured to buy more expensive products.
Helen and Tom are like swans!! The failure of the IT system when we completed the order was dealt with very calmly, and solutions organised (and it wasn't even their fault!!). They were unflappable!!
The chair has now arrived, expertly delivered by Darren and Mum is delighted.

Very welcoming staff at Truro store. Helen was very knowledgeable and listened carefully to my needs. she spent time explaining which chairs would be suitable and allowed plenty of time for trying them. We were very impressed and went back a second time to confirm our order and make sure our choice of chair was perfect. All information was very clear. The ordering and delivery were so easy . The delivery men were courteous and efficient. The whole process felt very comfortable and there was no hard sell at any stage. My new chair is wonderful - I can now sit and relax in the evening. I would happily recommend this company.

I unexpectedly found it necessary to purchase a riser recliner and was looking for a leather chair of contemporary design.

On the off chance that HSL might advise I visited their Truro store and discovered they sold the type of chair I was looking for.

Helen, who was in charge of the store that day, worked tirelessly all afternoon to ensure that the chair I wanted was available. For which I am extremely grateful.

Her regional manager Claire, later organised and coordinated the delivery and installation within an extremely tight deadline.

The Plymouth store was instrumental in ensuring a smooth delivery process.

To say HSL went the extra mile would be an understatement of the effort and goodwill demonstrated in ensuring I was not disappointed.

Such kind, caring people, it was a pleasure to shop there. A 5* service indeed.

Maria at the Truro branch was lovely, understanding of my medical needs and was very helpful throughout the whole process.

She didn't rush us at any point and gave us plenty of time to reflect!

Everything went exactly as we wanted, from the initial visit to the showroom near Truro to the chairs being delivered earlier than expected.
The visit to the showroom was a very pleasant experience with nothing too much trouble for the knowledgeable staff and the same with the delivery.
I was emailed with approximate delivery time and phone call to say delivery in twenty minutes !
The chairs were assembled and demonstrated and we then had the most comfortable time relaxing in luxury !

We took delivery of our HSL chairs today. We had a call half an hour during our allocated delivery time slot which was really helpful . The chairs were brought in by Jason and Ashley with ease and put exactly where we wanted them. The chairs are beautiful and very comfortable . Great job by all . Would highly recommend HSL from our showroom visit to delivery . Thank you x
