My daughter is studying at UCD and wanted to send her a 21st birthday gift. After contacting Hug In a Box to confirm they would be able to deliver it on her birthday to her address on campus, I placed the order. They attempted to deliver it and then it was sent back to the delivery depot where it is still sitting.
It was disappointing that she didn’t receive her gift on her bday and a week later the courier company still hasn’t delivered it. She had to call the courier company, DPD to arrange a time when she would be available to receive the box. Unfortunately they are unable to leave packages at the UCD dormitory.
When I contacted Aisling & Marguerite, they were responsive and are working on resolving this issue. Hopefully my daughter will revive her gift next week.

I wanted to get something special for my toddler to give to my wife for Mother’s Day, and I came across Hug In A Box. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. I ordered the Premium Candle gift box, which included chocolates, prosecco, a card, and a beautifully scented candle.

They offer next‑day delivery if you order before 2pm, and I cut it very close—about 1:57pm—but it still arrived the next day as promised. The box was securely packaged, really nicely presented, and my wife was absolutely delighted with the gift.

Overall, it was a great experience and it feels good to support an Irish company that delivers on quality and service.

What a great little company. We ordered a box & made a mistake with the delivery address. Cue a panicked email, the ladies replied promptly to say it had been rectified & a nice note to wish the recipient a speedy recovery. The next morning the box arrived. We couldn’t believe it. Fast & great customer service, I can’t recommend them highly enough.
