Hunyvers Chinon

Hunyvers Chinon - five stars is not enough for the Chinon branch, they helped us out when we had a leak in our motorhome whilst travelling through France. We turned up without prior appointment, they took the van in and fixed it for us, they worked with it until they found the problem. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, I can’t thank them enough for helping us out

Avoid at all costs for servicing

Avoid at all costs for servicing. Hunyvers have zero customer service. After booking in my caravan, a process which took an hour due to their inefficiency, I waited 2 months for an appointment. I confirmed by email the jobs required, stating again that the brakes were defective and needed replacing and possibly the tyres. Upon arrival they had no knowledge of the required works, so that had to be discussed again. I was told the caravan would be ready in the day. I waited around Limoges all day. Despite leaving my telephone number, at 4pm by chance I found they'd emailed a short time before to say they hadn't ordered the brakes so needed to keep the caravan. I went in and was then told that the brakes would take more than 3 weeks to arrive and it may be a month or more to complete the job but I couldn't remove my caravan!
A quote was sent 3 days later, after much chasing and quoted 7 hours labour at 100€ an hour to change the brakes and 2 tyres! Utter blackmail as I couldn't retrieve my caravan.
They did the work quicker than was quoted, which I appreciated. I went today to pay and collect and yes I was billed for 7 hours labour.....what bandits and thieves!
No bill was prepared, no one was organised and staff were constantly distracted. It took an hour to get to a bill! My time of course is not valuable!
The jobs had not been completed, the electric connection not reset and the motor mover is stuffed full of mud and grass from their parking. Moreover the expensive Protec tow jacket, which is new and cost 500€ is torn.
I waited ages for the director to review the damage. Meanwhile discovering that my heavyweight wheel stop was missing. They finally produced it from the rubbish bin!
The director took no responsibility at all for the ripped cover, despite me showing her how her staff had done this when lowering the feet.
Zero offer to help as she simply aggressively told me it was nothing to do with them. This was upsetting and stressful, so a disagreement ensued but then I'm told I'm aggressive! I'm supposed to pay 1,079€, leave with an incomplete job and damage but still smile.
The staff knew that I have a heart condition and I'm awaiting treatment but cause huge upset nonetheless.
I then discovered damage to the lock of my caravan!

These people do not care, have no customer service and cause damage but deny everything. I sincerely recommend you avoid this firm and look at the many other reviews online from people with very similar experiences. Avoid.
