DO NOT BUY - VERY VERY POOR QUALITY

DO NOT BUY - We purchased a copper bulle reserve with nickel interior through a retailer (Trade Superstore Online); a substantial investment. The bath has been used twice. The nickel coating has failed in multiple areas, with copper visibly "bleeding" through across the floor of the bath. Hurlingham (via the retailer) has blamed us (or our plumber) for not thoroughly drying the bath after use (suggest they read their own instructions); then moved on to suggesting we have used corrosive materials.... utter nonsense. We have asked what they consider corrosive, but they have offered no guidance. We proposed an independent assessment, which was declined by Hurlingham. This item retails at over £5k and is (supposedly) supported by a 5 year guarantee. APPALLING
Update: 12th March 2026. I’ve engaged an independent plating specialist. Once I have their input, I will share it to provide potential customers the opportunity to consider prior to purchasing

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

The Bulle Reserve bath with nickel interior is a handcrafted product, and issues of the type you describe are extremely unusual. Our team did review the information provided through the retailer and responded based on the details available at the time. Nickel-lined copper baths do require specific care after use, including rinsing and drying, as prolonged standing water or certain cleaning products can affect the finish. This is outlined in the care guidance supplied with the product.

That said, we take concerns about product quality and guarantees very seriously. Our intention is never to dismiss a customer’s concerns, but rather to determine the cause so that the appropriate advice or support can be offered. In this instance it is our belief from the images that have been supplied, the after use instructions haven't been followed correctly.

As a solution, we have offered a service whereby we can apply a white spray enamel to the interior of the bath, as the nickel plating has been damaged beyond repair, to which we hadn't received a reply from the stockist.

If you would like to discuss this further we are available on 01400 263313, or alternatively you can email ourselves at sales@hurlinghambaths.co.uk

Kind regards

Fantastic Customer Service

The customer service we received from Hurlingham Baths when sourcing a spare part for our bath tap has been second to none. We have been kept in the loop when there was a delay with our order and been informed as soon as it arrived in the warehouse. Thank you Katina, Anthony and team for going above and beyond.

A little luxury

We renovated a period house back in 2019 and converted one of the bedrooms into our en-suite. The intention was to provide a little escape from the world. We looked long and hard at bath options and finally came across the Hurlingham Caravel bath. We are delighted with this bath and also the after care service that we have received from Hurlingham Baths.

Bespoke Baths

We have dealt with Hurlingham for 5 years on several projects. Their baths are always excellent quality. On our latest project they matched a tricky colour and used braiding that matched the clients roman blinds, first class service from the Hurlingham Team

Leaking bathtub

In response to your reply.
Firstly, the bathtub was never advertised as faulty or not fit for purpose.
Regardless of how much we paid, in this case a huge amount of money for us the item has to be fit for use. Sadly we are not millionaires like your shareholders. Damage to the tub is not a problem, damage would mean a knock, scratches etc. and these were not advertised either.
You have offered to send me a 5 pounds glue off Amazon to fix a bath worth 4200 pounds. Unacceptable!! No glue will be a permanent fix. Because when the glue fails I will have water everywhere in my house.
You have also requested to send the tub to you at a cost to us of 200 pounds so you can use the 5 pound glue to seal the holes in the tub.
Bottom line for everyone to know buying a Hurlingham Bath can be risky as it may leak and the hassle is not worth it.
This is not the first time you mess up you are just very good at deleting all trace of negative feedback from your customers.
You should be ashamed of yourself! You are not craft man if items like this are getting out of Hurlingham Baths.

Dear Hurlingham baths you wonderful craftsman have released this item from your warehouse to be sold so yes my review is relevant to your company!

I would be very careful of buying because if anything goes wrong you will have to fight for your money back.

It is truly hard to express my disappointment with this company and with their sister company Renaissance-at home.
We have purchased a Hurlingham bath tub that I have seen online and I absolutely loved, hoping to redo my bathroom.
The nightmare started for us when my bathroom fitter showed me that the tub was leaking through different sides and water coming out through the mother of pearl bits that lined the tub.
We were failed first by the manufacturer who clearly didn’t do a great job then the person who inspected the tub and finally by the customer service that have failed to come back to me with option despite the fact I emailed them last Friday so a week ago.
The stress with having construction work stopped in my house because the builder simply can’t carry on finishing my bathroom, we have incurred costs of transport, time we paid our builder to fit the tub several times and to test it because he couldn’t even believe it was possible to have a leak from the tub until he has actually seen the water sipping out.
We are still waiting to have this situation resolved, in the meantime I have to keep calling them to ask what will be done.
They have suggested to buy something on Amazon and try to fix the leak because we won’t get our money back because was sold as seen? I haven’t seen it until delivered.
Thankfully we have another shower room in the house that we were able to use, during the time we have everything on hold.
I now deeply regret making a purchase from Renaissance at home. It was discounted and I am sure the reason was because it’s not fit for use and they were aware.

I’m sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the stainless-steel bath you have purchased through our eBay outlet store. We use eBay to clear products with defects identified during our rigorous inspection process and these often require repair. With issues such as chipped vitreous enamel and in this case a simple sealant repair, they are priced according to the extent of the defect and in this case we reduced the price by over 75%.

Whilst the bath was purchased in October 2022, our listing explained that the bath had imperfections and damage to the bath. This was also sold as seen (viewing was available at our premises) and without a warranty which again is reflected in the discounted price of 75% off the original retail price. You then arranged collection of the bath from our premises a few days later.

We have discussed this over the telephone and via email and have offered to supply products that will resolve the issue that you have raised at no cost to yourself as a goodwill gesture.

We have also offered you the option of returning the product, so that we can resolve the issue at our premises and have this back ready for collection.

We are of course willing to assist you, and if you need any further advice, then please do let me know.

If you would like to discuss this further then please do not hesitate to contact myself directly on 01400 263313

Tom Weaver

Tom Weaver knows his bathroom products extremely well. His advice is right on the money. He helped me to clarify my thoughts around the kind of bath I wanted. The showroom is well worth a visit. It all left me with the impression that it is a reputable company, who want to provide high end bathroom products and a great service for their customers.

Beautiful, enduring products with amazing customer service.

I have just returned from a visit to the Hurlingham Bath workshops and showroom. So fascinating to have explained the care and many processes that go in to making these baths and therefore understanding what makes them so special. In.a world of mass production and uniformity to encounter the handmade or hand finished is always a pleasure and these baths are works of art. Customer service was informed, patient and indicative of the level of care that goes in to production. Thanks so much.

I spoke directly to Hurlingham baths…Quality company

I spoke directly to Hurlingham baths regarding our delivery of our beautiful cast iron bath. I can only say that the customer service I received was second to none. The gentleman I spoke to, Tom, was polite, extremely helpful and completely knowledgeable regarding the company and it's beautifully made products. He was a pleasure to speak to and nothing was too much trouble. He is nothing short of the jewel in the crown for this quality company. Thank you.
