Before buying anything Husqvarna
Before buying anything Husqvarna, do your research with legit reviews like this. I bought a brand new ride that has been back to repair roughly 8 times in 3 years. No Husqvarna product will ever enter my home again.
Cheap as chips tin products.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
I decided to invest a lot more money in a petrol strimmer and hedge cutter than I would usually in the hope the product would last a lot longer and be higher quality.
129LK Strimmer - I bought this in August 2021 and have only used a handful of times. It is now unreliable to start and leaking petrol.
Hedge trimmer attachment - I bought this as a recommended attachment for the strimmer and it comes with a shoulder strap that doesn't fit the product! Upon contacting Husqvarna they informed me I could either return the product or wait and they would ship me the correct part. I waited as it was too late to take back the strimmer at that point. I waited for 9 months before they sent me the correct part!!!
I have now enquired about getting it repaired under the warranty. Husqvarna have advised that they have cannot help me in any way and I need to go to an authorised dealer. I went to a dealer and they said that I will have to wait 2 months for them to look at it, after which if they decide it is not warranty I will have to pay £40 plus whatever it costs to fix.
It's laughable really for such an expensive and barely used product. Both the quality of product and service recieved from Husqvarna has been beyond bad.
The fact they haven't even acknowledged this page on Trustpilot yet and have so many poor reviews says everything. Avoid at all costs!!!!
Buy anything but a Husqvarna & do yourself a favor!
Do yourself a favor and buy anything other than a Husqvarna. I have owned many motorcycles over the years and I was so thrilled to finally be able to afford an overpriced Husqvarna because it was a perfect fit. What a BAD choice! 3 years old and it has been in the shop more times than it has been ridden, with multiple issues, including a failed ECU. In my short time of owning this bike, I have found that they are not only overpriced, but of poor quality and craftsmanship. But, it gets worse. Husqvarna has some of the WORST customer service I have ever received anywhere! Severely disappointed. I will never recommend or buy another Husqvarna product. Do yourself a favor and buy a KTM, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and stay on the trail and out of the shop!
Husqvarna BLi20 batteries…
Bought 2 x Husqvarna BLi20 batteries in 2019.
One is still going strong but the other one is dead after less than 100 recharges. UK customer services have failed to respond to my complaint. The brand isn't worth the money.
Customer Service appalling
Customer Service appalling, no response to questions / help when required.
Husqvarna 128ld is crap
Ordered the 128ld weed trimmer. It run good for about a month then started shutting off when it warmed up. Had to let it sit before i could crank it. Replaced carburetor fuel lines spark plug same thing. Husqvarna weed trimmers is dog crap. Save yourself some frustration and buy a echo or a sthil from a dealer it cost more but worth it
This review is actually for Gardena…
This review is actually for Gardena secateurs but Gardena are owned by Husqvana.
Secateurs are 8 months old and the spring has broken. Three emails to their customer “help” line only gets an automated reply blaming covid on useless service. Come on Gardena you need to change your strap line, covid no longer affects any well organised and properly run company.
I’ve written to their Managing Director but he doesn’t bother to respond either.
Terrible service and poor product - avoid.
Bought a new 562 chainsaw on Saturday…
Bought a new 562 chainsaw on Saturday (Cost over £800) when got it home it didn’t work.
Had to take it back to the shop on Monday.
Then had to go back to shop on Tuesday when it was ‘fixed’ apparently had a broken/faulty value.
Absolutely terrible experience with this thing……cost way more time and money than it should have done.
And such a pity that there was no compensation, no offer to cover the costs of having to go back to the shop TWICE which frankly would have not been necessary if the machine had been properly checked before sale.
I would not trust this brand or recommend it to anyone, be warned. Spend your hard earned cash on a decent brand with a shread of customer service.
Husqvarna is no better than any other Chinese brand
I just bought a Husqvarna motor tiller 545DE and the build quality is no better than other chinese brands. The welds are splashy, the copartment for the battery is slightly too small, there is a bracket that can´t be put because it´s too small and one screw+washer is missing and the red/negative battery cable isn´t long enough and when I pulled the starter string the handle fell off.
Further the assembly instructions has errors and are lacking.
I might as well have bought any other Chinese brand and saved a lot of money.
A good piece of advice
A good piece of advice. Never buy a weed eater from this company. It will work one time and that is it peace of garbage!
I bought an automower 305
I bought an automower 305, which I have now had for almost a year, so feel it is time to give a review.
It gets 2 stars because when this is working it is great, but it comes with lots of problems, and before buying you should consider these.
I used a Husqvarna dealer and they installed the wire as well as setting up the robot. Initially all was good but these are the problems I have found:
Connectors in the ground, degraded after a few month andit is a £60 call out charge, you can't use the mower if these break down.
Robot stopped working correctly and after a callout I had to get a software update. Seemingly you can only to the full update with the Dealer. Cost £114.
It cannot handle leaves and with the winds this year I have to go out and pick them up.
You can adjust the distance to the edge but it is limited and I still have to go out and cut it with the lawnmower/sissors. The other issue I have is I can no longer use my scarifier on the grass, incase it damages the wire.
All things considered, I like having the robot but my recommendation is:
Get one with Gps, so that you have no wire and also check that you can update it yourself. I don't think in this instance paying a premium cost for a machine (like you do with a conventional mower) is worthwhile. Life time is very limited. Buy cheap as you will replace often.
Do not buy any battery powered…
Do not buy any battery powered products.
I returned a defective battery last year for replacement and it was replaced with an alternative model after 2 months. The same thing has just happened with a second battery I own. This time the reply is, thank you for your patience, we are experiencing delays in supply. Oh well, that's ok then. I wouldn't mind if had been battering the machinery but I've used it less than a dozen times.
The customer support is an absolute disgrace, avoid.
Awful customer experience
Awful customer experience. I ordered a lawnmower direct from husqvarna uk online to be delivered to a dealer. After receiving confirmation the product had shipped I didn't hear anything for weeks! I went on to email them and it took ages to have a response. I ended up calling them, explained my story to a very rude adviser who ended up telling me they collected my details and that someone will call me back! What's this number for in the first place? I then said I wanted a refund which they told me they couldn't log on the phone and that I had to request via emails! Finally after 9 weeks of having my money, they finally replied to my cancellation request and processed my refund! The whole time I had no idea where the lawnmower was and only when I cancelled it magically appeared to be at the dealership! Do not buy from them, life is too short but unfortunately my lawn isn't ha ha
Very poor product quality
Very poor product quality. Warranty terms are a con - if you don't register the product straight away and if you dont service the product every year then the warranty is void. given the poor product quality and lack of diagnostic tools for repairers to know what's wrong - these are expensive lifetime purchases. Should have bought a petrol mower.
Not the worst online support ever, but you have to be patient!
All I wanted was an activation code for my robotic mower, and it took 3 solid days of internet searches, emails and phone calls to get it.
When you can actually get through to them, the support agents are very polite and helpful but their "consumer support" processes are badly designed and their emails include errors and are missing important details. This makes sceptics like me doubt whether we'll ever get the information we need.
But the best advice I received from their online support, was effectively "Don't worry, be happy!" - i.e. the best thing to do was just to be patient and wait for an email response from "consumer services", even if that takes several days.
As it turned out, 3 days later I received a short but helpful email, and within an hour my PIN was entered and my mower happily trundling around my (by then) shaggy lawn.
Avoid buying direct. Customer service nonexistent
I bought an automower direct from Husqvarna only to find that they don't automatically provide the PIN code required to activate the product. The telephone help desk told me they couldn't help and that I should email Husqvarna or get a PIN code from a dealer. After the initial response to the online form I submitted I have heard no more from them. Dreadful customer service from what I thought was a reputable company.
After sales are rubbish
After sales are rubbish. My boundary wire broke 3 weeks ago. Still can’t get any one out to fix it for another 2 weeks. I feel that I have wasted £1500.
Don’t buy……
Very poor After Sales experience
Relates to Automower purchase. Very poor after-sales experience, including an unreturned call from UK Aftersales manager. Also questionable product quality given number of failures experienced. I would not buy from Husqvarna again.
They are indeed shockingly bad on Customer Servicee
They are indeed shockingly bad on customer service
I used Husqvarna customer service in the USA for 25 years and they answered queries very promptly usually next day. I asked Husqvarna UK a simple question 5 days ago and i am still waiting. They are stuck in the 1970s system treating customers as irrelevances
Dreadful product quality
Dreadful product quality. Broken more often than it works. The 5 year warranty was described to me by a dealer that specialises in Husqvarna as a “sales ploy”. Warranty not worth the paper it’s written on. They ship poor quality and simply don’t care.
