Total rip-off, they still owe me money

It started as a good experience in 2019 (I went to 4 events/restaurants and it always worked out as promised), but went downhill from there.

In 2020 I paid for London Dungeon tickets and they weren't able to arrange a date. I tried 3 more times in the following 2 years (given that I don't live in London there are just limited time windows) and they always failed again. At some point I just asked for my money, but they refused to give me a refund.

Stupid enough I booked another review in September 2022 for a hair saloon. I got a confirmation from Hype, but the saloon didn't even know about Hype existing.

They agreed on refunding my money, but it never happened...

More interested in their own gain

Didn't have a good experience with this company and not really sure what their real goals are. Lots of talk on the website about wanting to facilitate authentic, unbiased reviews for brands but when you sign up to review something, Hype's primary aim is to get you to promote their own social channels to your followers - with the actual brand you've agreed to review feeling more like an afterthought.

When you submit reviews, you have to enter them into Hype's own site rather than just sharing links to the original content on your own channels. Aside from the obvious pitfall that your content is now being duplicated elsewhere, there's no way to format the text or to select which images you've taken go where, so you're at their mercy and the overall feel of the outcome is cheap and half-hearted.

While the concept is good, it does not feel remotely like an authentic or genuine way for people to shout about brands and experiences they believe in/enjoy. The process of organising a delivery and getting updates seems straightforward, but I would not work with Hype again

Very poor customer service

My first experience with the company, I was asked if I received the media pack a long time after I had already received it. I then followed their media guidelines and the brand missed my posts and asked about them over a week later.

Secondly, they either do not have terms & conditions or just simply avoid sending them to you at all costs, instead sending mobile phone screenshots. On contacting the urgent queries WhatsApp I was met with a very rude person and a suitable conclusion was not met due to the covid reasons for my cancelling - just £10 credit for a £115 experience (nice way to treat you for not giving covid to their media visit).
