Buyer beware!

If you prefer a customer insurance experience that is reliable, responsive, hassle free, respects the policy-holder and is money well spent, then give this lot a wide berth, steer well clear. If you can, run!

In my view, Westpac Insurance / IAG together, on too many levels are under-performers!

My bigger regret. Is that I did not do the due diligence, when signing up to Westpac Insurance NZ. With IAG being their underwriter.

So, when taking out insurance triple check IAG are not the under-writer nor own the Insurance provider you may sign up too.

The good news, there are NZ based insurers who are not connected to IAG, come with excellent credentials and customer reviews. They, may be a bit more expensive, but great insurance services are premiums well spent!

Very very bad customer service

the incident, which has significantly delayed the claims process.

Communication: I have felt treated i I lodged a claim in February 9th and now its end of April 10 weeks with dtill mo ipdates with my claims
I provided my police check and all other documents they needed its to get my claims. I felt mentally tortured rather than as a valued customer. The questioning I have experienced has made me feel more like a suspect than a policyholder seeking assistance. This company only know how to get our money as I have never claimed in the 10 years. Very bad experience while claims.

Frustrating Experience with IAG Car…

Frustrating Experience with IAG Car Insurance

I am writing to share my disappointing experience with IAG Car Insurance, hoping to provide insight to others considering their services.

Customer Service: Unfortunately, my interactions with customer care have been far from satisfactory. I found the representatives to be unhelpful, and the overall support lacked empathy and understanding.

Claims Process: My claim (Claim Number: C1039062) related to damage sustained while parked on March 13, 2024. It has been over a year since the incident, and I have yet to receive resolution. IAG has been unable to obtain the necessary CCTV footage from the location of the incident, which has significantly delayed the claims process.

Communication: I have felt treated with suspicion rather than as a valued customer. The questioning I have experienced has made me feel more like a suspect than a policyholder seeking assistance.

In light of my experience, I cannot recommend insuring your vehicle with IAG. I hope they can improve their customer service and claims handling in the future.
