This class is top notch
This class is top notch! Floyd is an amazing instructor and mentor. he not only teaches you the information, he gives you personal insight into the real-world aspects of being a home inspector. His personal experiences and stories provide exceptional deep dive into learning the curriculum and valuable knowledge for a career in home inspections! 10 out of 10!!!
Phenomenal class
This course includes an online learning portion along with an 80-hour in-person field training program. The online portion was very good, but the 80-hour field training with Floyd Gibbs was exceptional.
The level of knowledge you come in with compared to what you leave with is completely different. I learned and retained an incredible amount during those 80 hours, and I sincerely feel confident that I will be a successful home inspector because of this training.
They left no stone unturned and made an extra effort to ensure that if you struggled in any area, you walked away understanding it well enough to explain the process to someone else. Phenomenal class.
Home Inspection In Person live training
The experience was terrific. Our instructor Jim Schumacher was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. His preparation and detail of instruction made the class a huge benefit for my understanding the process. I left very motivated and positive about my decision to pursue the certification and career path.
Great Experience, Passed test first attempt.
I signed up to take the class and was honestly a little nervous about 8 straight days of class. Our instructor, Clint Laney, was awesome. He mixed humor and expertise perfectly to make the class very enjoyable and informative. I would strongly recommend this class especially if you can get Clint as an instructor.

Update: 2 weeks after the class I passed the test first try. Thank you ICA!
Absolutely LOVED my experience with…
Absolutely LOVED my experience with Floyd and Sandra in the 10 Day Home Inspection Course. I was immediately surprised and impressed with the structure, that being concentrating and emphasizing the human connections and relationships over the technical aspects. That had me on the edge of my seat for the entire course, and I got all the technical knowledge needed, and then some. Will highly recommended! This course (and I did the Elite package), was jam packed with value!

I'm about 80% through the course and I find the videos, guides, links and other resources quite helpful! Great real-world examples and tips. This being said, I'm expecting for this to transfer well to real-life situations, but will follow-up with a review when I get there.
The webinar portion was terrible
The webinar portion was terrible; the instructor was substandard and did nothing to prepare the class for the field portion.

Inspection Certification Associates has the best in Floyd and Sandra!
Inspection Certification Associates has a gem in Floyd! Floyd used stories and anecdotes to make a subject that could be considered less than entertaining into a learning experience that was memorable and relatable. As a person who has had a life long struggle with concentrating in class and test-taking, Floyd provided me with the tools needed to thrive not only in class, but also in the field. He has an ability to make personal connections with each individual in the class in a way that made the learning fun and entertaining. I would highly recommend any classes that Floyd teaches and plan to take more myself. Sandra, as his right hand person, was invaluable in the field! Her patience and guidance helped the students have an invaluable hands on learning opportunity in the process of home inspections. Their combined knowledge and experience made learning this trade amazing! Would highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to learn from the best!
Just enrolled
I just enrolled and I've been doing the modules and so far I've learned a lot of stuff that I never knew and I feel like I'm doing pretty good and making pretty good progress
Outstanding training with true experts
I had the opportunity to receive field training in home inspection with Sandra and Floyd, and the experience exceeded all my expectations.
When I started the training, I already thought Floyd was a professional based on the experience I knew he had. However, by the end of the training, I can say with complete confidence that he is a professional, further a true expert and passionate about what he does and with an impressive level of knowledge. His teaching style, attention to detail, and dedication to share his experience truly make a difference.
I highly recommend this training at ICA to anyone who wants to seriously pursue a career in home inspection.
Simply the best.

I had a really good experience in class. Clint is an awesome teacher with a lot of knowledge. I had a good time while learning a lot
Its great 👍 education
Its great 👍 education. Lot more to inspection than just driving up to a address and snapping a picture 🖼️ and you think 💬🤔 your 👍 done. Not even close. The only thing that is concerning is documenting every detail so you don't get sued. I think 💬🤔 I need a body camera 📸 for every inspection or go pro to document 📄📃 to have on file. That way if your in a Court room, let's look at the body camera footage. Don't talk to much that can get you side track and cause problems also.👍
The class content and the instructor…
The class content and the instructor was top notch. I was a little concerned about sitting in a classroom for 8 days straight and not able to focus. But Clint made the experience enjoyable and was able to get the information across in a very clear and understandable format. Definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in this business.
Review of ICA H.I. course
I was initially apprehensive about attending ICA, though it appeared to be one of the strongest options available in New York. One aspect that raised concerns for me was the emphasis your sales representative placed on ICA’s high rating with the Better Business Bureau. Since the BBB is a for-profit organization, I question the objectivity of such ratings. While I intend to submit an honest review based on my experience, I do not expect it will significantly impact your standing.
I commend ICA for its effort to provide a home inspection curriculum; however, it appeared that much of the responsibility for both curriculum delivery and student learning was placed solely on the instructor. From my perspective, the role extended far beyond teaching and lacked the support structure one would typically expect from an educational institution.
The 11-day online portion of the course felt dry and lacked engagement, while the 4-day field experience was, in many respects, disappointing—aside from one particularly positive experience under Instructor Dave Miller. Mr. Miller demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine concern for student success. His industry experience and sense of humor added value to the learning environment and helped offset some of the shortcomings of the curriculum delivery.
I would like to ask whether ICA employs an educational coordinator or curriculum specialist, or whether the full responsibility for curriculum development, instructional delivery, and field training rests entirely with the instructors. I ask because my perspective is informed by 22 years in education, including experience in program development and curriculum delivery. I am also a certified teacher in New York State, holding two master’s degrees in education. In my professional background, course syllabi and instructional design were subject to review and approval by accrediting bodies such as the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. This leads me to wonder whether ICA is accountable to any educational oversight or accreditation entity. When I inquired about the existence of a course syllabus, my question appeared to be dismissed rather than addressed.
Regarding the field experience, I found the overall organization to be significantly lacking, though I do not attribute this to Mr. Miller. Additionally, the constant monitoring by an unidentified observer created an uncomfortable atmosphere. While I understand the need for attendance verification and accountability, a simple introduction and explanation of that individual’s role would have demonstrated greater professionalism and respect toward both students and instructors.
Given the high tuition cost, I believe students should receive printed materials or, at minimum, the option to purchase a course textbook. Instead, the program relied heavily on a lengthy manual exceeding 1,000 pages, much of which was read aloud during instruction. The quarterly testing process also seemed ineffective, as tests were read aloud to the group before students completed them individually.
In summary, I intend these comments as constructive feedback rather than criticism for its own sake. I mean no disrespect toward ICA or Instructor Dave Miller. Mr. Miller was personable, supportive, and clearly invested in his students’ learning experience. His professionalism and field expertise were among the strongest aspects of the program.
The best and most comprehensive…
The best and most comprehensive training I have experienced. Heart and soul went into the mix and was much more than slides and memorization. I learned and will retain.

My experience
Hi. The content of modules are very good( audio access and at PDF format) the instructor and explanations were very good, whenever I asked a question the response was fast and accurate. It does value the fees I paid for.

I had an excellent experience training with Clint Laney my instructor at ICA. He explains concepts clearly and practically, using real-life examples that truly make a difference.
His field experience is evident, and he is genuinely committed to making sure students understand how to apply what they learn in real inspections.
