Really pleased :) I wasn't sure what to expect when I found ID5 after a quick web search. The website looked very professional, but over the years I've learned to be quite skeptical of online reviews... See more

Ask for George
George guided us through the process expertly, maintaining a friendly disposition throughout. Our only problem occurrred after the process with our own solicitor who didn’t seem to know what she was doing. I thoroughly recommend this service for a great job, expertly performed at a sensible price.
Excellent service
Excellent service , professional, everything I needed done , easy process and recommend
Would never recommend this business
I would advise going to someone else and paying a little extra, this person is very rude and patronising. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to this business. By far the worst one out there! They will try say the documents you have given does not suffice and will have to pay extra
Incredibly, rude, unprofessional, patronising, impatient, arrogant and unhelpful
I am based internationally and rang up last week with a few questions because I had never heard of ID1 and ID5 documents and has a some questions answered, I rang back to clarify some things and the person I spoke to was incredibly rude, patronising, impatient and kept cutting me off so I didn't get to ask a question. I kept being told "I told you last time" and when I said I was unsure about something he was incredibly sarcastic. To think I was about to use this company but then his behaviour changed my mind in a split second. So instead of getting my £100 you can have nothing other than a bad review! Instead of gaining trust you destroyed it in 5 minutes.
This was by far the easiest part of probate.
This was by far the easiest part of probate I have experienced. I got a message with a link to an app that I used to scan in my address and photo ID. As promised, 15 minutes on zoom with a solicitor and my documents were emailed for me to proof read. I got immediate proof of postage. George was prompt, polite, and very efficient. I hope I don't need to do this again but if I do, I will be using ID5.
Easy, quick and personable
I used ID5 for 6 different identification checks for a conveyancing issue, and highly recommend the company.
The service was easy, quick, professional, and personable, with them helping out with issues we encountered a long the way.
We were able to book a slot and have the paperwork in our hand within 3 days, which I was really impressed by, and they provide you with a dispatch notice and tracking number to let you know your paperwork is on the way.
Really smooth process from start to…
Really smooth process from start to finish. Friendly and informative.
Good service
Seems dodgy.. made my appointment two weeks ago and did the online meeting and paid the invoice but never heard back from them and they don’t respond to my emails or calls.
UPDATE: due to some mix up, my docs wasn’t sent on time. They called me and apologised and today I got my docs.
Quick and easy.
Only booked appointment this morning and had appointment for 13.00, done in 15 minutes, really easy and George was very helpful. Definitely recommend.
Booked an appointment for this morning…
Booked an appointment for this morning - no problem booking and an easy appointment app to use. George was punctual and the actual appointment took just 12 minutes and the draft documents were emailed as soon as as the meeting was finished. A smooth well run process and a heck of a lot cheaper than I had been quoted before. I would whole heartedly recommend this service for ID Verification
Walk in the park
At 63 I'm not very IT literate, at the other end, George very gently nursed me through the whole process and made it a simple, walk in the park, these people are great to work with 👍🏻
Great Service - Great Value
This is a very efficient and effective ID check service. Great value, I was quoted £350 by a very average firm of solicitors. My paperwork arrived the next morning first class deliver. Excellent service.
An excellent service
I was initially sceptical using an online service for my ID verification, however, I needed have been anxious. I had previously enquired at 4 local solicitor firms their pricing varied between £325 - £399, one being where I had recently had done my will, so not impressed. Then found ID5, their process and pricing explained on their website. George was warm and welcoming, professional with his relaxed approach. Using the app via mobile phone for documents was in my experience easier than using google on my laptop which I had tried a few times. George obtained information from me via chatting and uploaded documents. An excellent service in my opinion.
Extremely helpful and efficient
Extremely helpful and efficient, received forms within 24 hours
Ghosted after initial meeting
I wish I didn't have to write this, but unfortunately they ghosted me after the initial meeting, and I couldn't complete an urgent ID1 form on time.
18/06/2025
- They were late for the initial meeting due to a tech issue. Ok, completely understandable.
- After checking my ID, Gareth said he would get back to me with the information he needs to complete the form. Everything went well and we were both happy.
- After that, nothing.
19/06/2025
- Wrote an email asking when to expect the next step
20/06/2025
- Wrote another email asking for help.
- He replied that he was not in the day before and that he would deal with it today. Ok.
- After that, nothing.
23/06/2025
- Emailed asking them if I should be expecting them to deliver this service or if I should find another company.
- Gave a call in the afternoon as per their working hours. They said they will sort it out today.
- After that, nothing
24/06/2025
- Called during working hours. No response, voicemail.
25/06/2026
- Called during working hours. No response, voicemail.
I'm not sure what's their problem, but in the end, I had to book another company 🤷
efficient
efficient, cost effective, pleasant to deal with, no time wasting or incompetence

Outstanding Service
I was skeptical because I had never heard of this company, I needed to have my identity validated for the transfer of land registry in a divorce settlement and everything with dealing with solicitors has been slow, long winded, confusing and expensive, a bit like everything in life nowadays, nothing is easy. Well using this company has changed my mind, I booked the appointment for the next day, George dealt with everything talked me through it all, was so friendly and helpful and the job was done and even received the completed forms through my letterbox the next morning, which I was completely amazed by, to be fair I'm not sure when I've received such great service like that since Covid, WELL DONE ID5, considering I was skeptical, you have blown me away, thank you so much for a fabulous service, I will defiantly be recommending you.
Stay away at all costs
Rudest company that I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
After I paid my money I was told I needed additional documents otherwise I'd need to pay more money. I replied to this email asking for details and was ignored.
After I thought I'd found some documents that would be ok, the next day, I emailed them, asking if they were suitable. Hours passed with no reply so I emailed to check they were received and ok,, still nothing.
Getting a bit concerned now that they'd taken my money and lost interest I called to find out what was happening. A man called Gareth answered the phone with "hello" no "Hi how can I help" or Hi this is Id5 just "hello" like I'd called a personal mobile number or something. I carried on asking if he was George (the person I'd called and had been dealing with). He replied "no it's not, who's this" was all starting to sound a bit unprofessional and abrupt but I carried on explaining everything. He said George was busy in meetings today (fair enough) but was now out and that I should email my documents again and he would reply. I dutifully agreed.
Another couple of hours passed so I called again. This time he didn't sound so abrupt but said "can you call back in 10 minutes I'll let him know you are trying to get hold of him" so I did. No answer this time.. tried again nothing. it was getting to the end of the day so I drove home. Since that takes 30 minutes I thought it was a good gap.
I then decided to call a few times (5) until someone would pick up since I'd basically not been able to get an answer all day about the documents. After about 4-5 times of it ringing out it then said "this number can't be contacted from your area" thinking I'd been scammed I called with no caller ID on the last attempt and was met with a torrent of abuse from this George for calling so many times and told he wouldn't be signing my documents.
I in the end got the money back but I'd done nothing wrong but was ignored and then abused over the phone. Completely unprofessional couple of charlatans.
Please go somewhere else these people are absolutely awful.
After reading the childish response to this review below, I should add that
1) I last tried calling at 5pm so not after hours and called 4 times with my number and once with no caller ID as I was ignored all day, so, unless you had an all day party I couldn't know that calling a business number would disrupt a social occasion during office hours.
2) The calls were about the documents I sent that day that he'd asked for so clearly he didn't bother read said emails either.
3) My ex didn't pay for the service, I used someone else's account to get the money back when they offered because I didn't want to compromise more of my information to this lot.
4) It wasn't immediately refunded it was a day later and the only unacceptable behaviour was you shouting down the phone, I conducted myself most reasonably you however did not.
5) Getting personal doesn't make you look any better to anyone reading this either. Yet again you get your facts wrong but thankfully nothing you say cuts very deep I'm afraid. If being the most unpleasant happens from calling a business until you get an answer (and only ends up being 5 times when counted) then you you're frankly delusional, that isn't a campaign but yes people will keep calling if you ignore them after taking payment from them, as I see from other reviews isn't a rare event.
So the reply to this review just proves my point at how rude and childish they are. Steer clear.
