Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. We install a lot of boilers and was willing to give this brand a go and made the local dorset sales rep aware we had already bulk purchased a lot of boilers due to the stock shortage so would start fitting ideals as soon as run low. Well within a few weeks he was emailing over and over and then said we was removed as installer and i am glad as ive never known anything like it. Why would they be that desperate.

Boiler problem

We have had a problem with our boiler the shower ran hot and cold every time we had a shower. Reported it to Ideal Boilers and the Engineer (Conner) came today. Seemed to know exactly what was wrong. He changed a part and tested it and it seems fine. Thank you

5th time of asking I got my warranty…

5th time of asking I got my warranty paperwork, cut off twice by a chat agent called Victoria cleary didn’t know how to deal with my enquiry. Thankfully Nicola could assist where 3 previous agents had failed.

Disappointing

Had a brand new boiler installed and it packed up after three days- faulty fan apparently. I then had to wait a week with no heat or hot water, before they were able to send someone out to fix it. And guess what? It last all of a week this time before the old faulty fan issue raised its ugly head again. Absolutely scandalous. At this point I have no idea when it will be fixed...

DONT USE THIS COMPANY OR AN IDEAL…

DONT USE THIS COMPANY OR AN IDEAL BOILER ! , WE HAVE A NEW BOILER AND ITS 5 MONTHS OLD AND ITS BROKEN TWICE ALREADY THE ENGINEER BLAMED BUILDERS WATER IN THE AREA LOL 😂, EVERYTHING THAN THE BOILER ..... WELL HES HERE AGAIN THIS IS BEYOND WE HAVE HAD NO HOT WATER OVER EASTER . WE HAD A OLD BOILER FROM A GOOD OLD MAKE FOR YEARS AND NO PROBLEMS AT ALL JUST SERVICED IT ANNUALLY. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DONT USE IDEAL THEY ARE JUST A CHEAP AND NASTY COMPANY . SORRY BUT ALL TRUE !

Ideal combi c35 just out of warranty…

Ideal combi c35 just out of warranty and now defective. Clearly built to fail and make money on parts. Same crap another company that has a strategy to screw you over from concept through design and manufacture. I’ll put money on they make more in parts than they do selling new boilers. Avoid if you can.

Unhappy with the quality, in my experience they are not built to last

The Ideal boiler supplied in a new build completely broke down within 2 years of being installed. The ideal person that came to fix it said it had manufacturing defects and changed most of the component parts. Just a few months on another part has broken down and Ideal won’t fix it because it’s just over 2 years old so we have to pay out to get it done. We’re really concerned with the quality and wouldn’t ever consider an Ideal boiler again.

Excellent Boiler & Excellent Service!

Recent experience with a slow-drip leak from Logic Plus Ideal Boiler. Their engineer(Connor) came this a.m. and was very professional, friendly, courteous, and patient with Q&A's. Boiler still under guarantee, and has worked, since installation(5 yrs ago), perfectly. The engineer fixed the whole problem. Spent 2 hrs cleaning, replacing small parts and adjusting pressures.
Very satisfied with Ideal Service Team. Thank you.

Boiler Plan

Had our boiler serviced in Jan and needed 3 parts. Took out a plan and had an engineer come around today. Duncan was very friendly and even though he wasn't told what needed doing he got started and got it all fixed and working within the hour.

Boiler delivered this morning when…

Boiler delivered this morning when fitted was already broken. Spoke to technical who informed me they would get someone out tomorrow, but they will not commission so will have to wait for original company to return. They have left me with no heating or hot water. Disgusting service. Obviously sub standard checks at factory.

Ideal Heating not Ideal Boilers

Please post against Ideal Heating as this is the wrong one.
I've recently had dealings with Ideal Heating and have to agree with many here that the whole experience was shocking. Quick to take your money but very slow to deliver the service. I had to rearrange a boiler service twice because both times the engineer turned up and left without informing me.
Had no choice but to wait for them to get it done to reactivate the warranty but won't be using them again going forward.

No loft ladder, no mend, guarantee invalid

My boiler is 5 years old. My plumber diagnosed the gas igniter had gone and no hot water or heating.
Phoned Ideal customer services, but because we haven't got a loft ladder, they won't attend under the guarantee. We live in a bungalow and there is no loft space for a loft ladder in the roof as the roof trusses are in the way. So no loft ladder, no mend. Apparently in the terms and conditions, which obviously I didn't sign as it was fitted by a registered plumber. So please plumbers, read the t and c's, cause this has been a nightmare. Just saying, from a manual handling angle, they dont know if i had a loft ladder that it had been installed correctly. Surely it is better for the engineer to mai tain and check their own ladder?
So either dont buy ideal or have it fitted elsewhere as they wont cover you and uour guarantee is not worth a penny! Really poor customer service. Very disappointed.

I have been a heating engineer for 30…

I have been a heating engineer for 30 years and I have become increasingly disillusioned with the big standard marks and also some of the smaller ones. The larger manufacturers coach there engineers to find fault with the installation rather than resolving legitimate issues with their products. Now for the good guys. Ideal boilers seem to be at the pole opposite and go out of their way to help engineers resolve issues. This has lead me to the conclusion that I will install nothing other than ideal boilers from now on. My motivation is driven solely by their superb back up and support. It shines above and beyond any other boilers I have installed.

Manufacturing defect on brand new ideal…

Manufacturing defect on brand new ideal boiler ruined my home! Home insurance won't cover it as its a Manufacturing defect. And ideal don't give a s#!T. I'm now In the slow process of getting all my costs together for the repairs I've had to carry out for a court case against ideal. Do yourself a favour and avoid ideal boilers at all costs!!! Terrible firm who lie through their teeth!

I've got an Ideal Atlanta 24, the heating works but the hot water heating is diabolical, it's a year old and they've been out twice to look at the boiler and still not fixed

No heating or hot water!!!

My Boiler was fitted in December last year and is still under warranty, it has not worked since Friday am. I emailed and called them with no joy, finally on Saturday the 18th Dec I was called back. I explained that I had no heating or hot water and that I had 3 children under 10, I was told they could not come out until Tuesday the 21st December.
I asked them to escalate my breakdown due to the children, I was told this would be done and someone would call me back. The call never happened and when I called back the office was closed, again on Sunday I called the office was closed.
Today 20th December I called again and this time was told no improvement could be made, but again it would be escalated and they would call me. Again no call so I have rang them every hour, with no joy whatsoever!!! The appointment for tomorrow still stands and we'll have another freezing night!!! The children are waking up cold!!!!!
I am so frustrated and cold!!!!
Surely Ideal Boilers have a duty of care and a time limit they must adhere to???

Ideal boiler

Ideal boilers left my me and my 98 year old mother without hot water in the bathroom.
Had to fill bath with kettles,pots and pans.
They sold what was at the time an efficient boiler just a couple of years ago ,they now say it's not efficient enough to fill the bath with hot water.

Poor back up for a new combi boiler

I got a new Ideal Heating combi boiler fitted seven weeks ago. This morning it isn’t working despite me resetting it several times. I phoned customer services and advised them that I currently have severe pneumonia and also have asthma. They initially offered an appointment next Tuesday, then came back and offered Friday. I told them I hope this does not lead to a further hospital admission with pneumonia so they will reassess but don’t offer an emergency service. If anyone else touches the boiler it invalidates the warranty. Catch 22. I am very disappointed.

I now have an appointment for tomorrow but having to struggle to get taken seriously when I’m so ill was not fun.

Our boiler stopped working and we had no hot water or heating.

Engineer, Mark Sone arrived from IDEAL and what a breath of fresh air he was. Sorted the issue straight away and nothing was to much trouble….

Poor Customer Care

I work for a developer and my customers rely on me to resolve any issues in their property. I have found Ideal Boilers customer service very lack lustre. They have point blank refused to attend to fix a faulty boiler within warranty because they cannot park on the door step (It is a block of flats with no parking) They do not care about their customers at all and make their problems the customers. There are places to park nearby but they are too lazy to walk a few hundred yards. They also make customers wait weeks for an engineer leaving customers without any heating or hot water. They should employ more engineers for the winter months to prevent this from happening. It is amazing how anyone would even purchase a boiler from Ideal as they are far from Ideal. Sort this out for the sake of your reputation.
