Wow wow wow wow wow! My family and I attended the 2023 Abingdon Bonfire and Fireworks event in November, and we were quite literally blown away!

I’ve seen so many negative comments from others regarding the traffic congestion with the events that are put on by the organisers, and it really does make me chuckle when reading what people have said.

Moaning about how busy it is to get to an event with over 20,000 attendees is comical!

What do you seriously expect? Free flowing traffic and no waiting time in queues?

Have a word with yourselves, please!

It wasn’t all that long ago when we queued outside a supermarket for hours on end to buy our groceries. We didn’t complain. We accepted it and got on with it.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense should know that events like this will be busy, and travel times will be greater than they normally are.

Everyone that has attended any event hosted by Xplosive Events has had months to prepare for the occasion.

If you’re one of those who has negatively reviewed this company, then you are clearly not living in the real world!

If being impatient and stuck in traffic triggers you, stay at home!

The last 45 minutes of our journey was bumper to bumper traffic. And that was only the last mile!

Did we complain? No. Was it unexpected? No. Did we leave in enough time to get to the event? Yes!

We all get held up in traffic every single day. Get over it!

If you have attended the event in Abingdon and you live in the Oxfordshire area, just be bloody grateful that we have the opportunity to experience something that not many else will.

It’s not as if we’re spoilt for choice with different and exciting things to do in the area.

Go on gang!!! I do love a good firework show, I thought St Albans firework night was good, then we discovered the Firework champions events (Hatfield) and thought that was spectacular… Then, in August 2023 Illusion Fireworks upped the ante and completely changed the game!!
When your firework game is beat perfect and your display ‘toys’ are as powerful and varied as Illusion has in it’s arsenal, a ‘firework Display’ is a thing of the past, it’s a guaranteed Phenomenon!
We were spoiled with a 45 minute display in the summer and Idon’t mind publicly admitting that the emotion of the performance genuinely made me cry! It was beautiful and emotional and visually spectacular! November was everything it needed to be and packed an awesome punch! I honestly can’t wait to see what Illusion has in store next! And if my day job went to the wall, I’d love to join the pyro team!!

Oh my goodness, if you are looking for something seriously special book these guys. Our display was over a year in the planning as we saw Illusion at several championships and to us no one else came close. They are simply AMAZING!!
The whole experience from booking, meeting, venue planning etc with Illusion was fantastic. And what can we say on the actual day we never had to worry about a thing, no stress no questions they just sorted it all.
Then there was the display itself. We have no words it was unbelievable, our chosen songs were told in the sky. Out little girl got to press the "red button" to start the set which was very special. It really was everything and more. The whole team that was there on the day went above and beyond, the video they did for us is a lasting memory, we cannot recommend them highly enough. Illusion supplied fireworks for one of our corporate fireworks displays. The build up to the event was easy with Ash being super professional and helpful. The team onsite was amazing, the fireworks to music were absolutely fabulous and the team cleaned up every bit of debris after the display. Would definitely recommend!

Would recommend the team in a heartbeat. The delivery keeps going on from strength to strength. Definitely booking for next year's town centre event.

We were possibly one of the first organisations to support Karl when he started and have never looked back. Our fundraising donations to charity have increased because of the magic he produces in the sky. His amazing ability of product knowledge and music choice is sublime and you will not find any better than Illusion.

We host a bonfire night display on the village green, we have worked together for a couple of years
are very happy with the results.
They really understand our site with a village centre location, on the side of the hill, firing behind a tall farmhouse with thatched cottages all around, yet they have mastered all of this, and it is reflected in the display.
The display is brilliant that utilises the full width of the site and fills the whole sky, all perfectly timed to music.
The team on the night are great, they set up, work well with us, review and tidy up afterwards. Perfect!
All the comments we receive from all who attend are positive and a big step up from our previous team, happy to recommend to anyone.

great fireworks display without any hassle from start to finish. We have used these guys for the last 5 years and will continue to do so.

If you are thinking about getting fireworks for your wedding or any occasion, then Illusions Fireworks are the people to hire. They were faultless from start to finish and made everything so easy. We met with them prior to the event for a site visit and to run through everything and so on the day of our wedding, they didn't bother us once. The fireworks were out of this world and a huge highlight of our wedding day. They were also very good value. Every guest commented on how incredible they were and many said they were the best fireworks they had ever seen, even beating Disney world resorts display!!

We can't thank you enough for the most perfect dand seamless display. We will definitely be using you again if we need a fireworks display in the future!!
