I highly recommend shopping at Independent Living. My elderly mother had a hip fracture / hip replacement and I urgently needed items on the day of the injury, and then to prepare home for her return from hospital.
The ladies who have helped me are absolutely outstanding. Genuinely helpful, knowledgable and assisted me to make smart decisions on items I know nothing about. They never push making a sale, just help you make the right choice. The products are top quality with range of prices / models to suit everyone.
I’m very grateful for their help, today was my third visit and I’ll be returning again.

Easy to order and quick delivery. We ordered a pronged walking stick. It is very stable and has given a lot more confidence when walking.

The Carbon Ultra light byACRE has a great turning circle. It is easily moved around inside our house. It also keeps me moving smoothly around the house.
I feel very safe with it as I recover from a fall. And also means my other walker stays in the boot of the car when I have to travel outside the house. I am very impressed with the design.

However, when I rang your helpline to discuss a more suitable product, for my next order, the advice was wrong. I ended up ordering and receiving a product that is not at all suitable for me.

I THOUGHT WHEN I OPENED THE CARTON WHY DID THEY USE A CARTON AS COST OF 41.00 FOR FREIGHT WAS UNNEEDED, WHEN THE PRODUCT WHICH WAS ALREADY IN A CARTON ONLY NEEDED A PIECE OF PAPER WRAPPED AROUND IT.

The rico reacher I received was NOT the same as the one pictured. The other folding reacher appears as advertised and is functional.
Independent Living reimbursed me for the wrong reacher. However, that was only after I insisted that they were obliged to, under the consumer’s act.
ie, goods supplied by were not as advertised. ( They initially said they wouldn’t take it back. )
Of note, I have ordered several things from independent living in the past and have always found them very reliable. I will continue to buy goods from them (might just check some details first tho, lol)
