Consumers should be made aware!!

Consumers should be made aware that this company will quite deceptively sign them onto an expensive subscription account -- in ways that are not clear.

After the death of a family member, I urgently needed a way to retouch a photo for the funeral. I discovered Pixella online and paid what I felt was a credit for one-time use. Within 5 weeks my bank called because there were FOUR more charges for $44 each.

I tried rectifying this with Pixella and being credited but it was not possible, so the company essentially commited a kind of fraud by accessing my credit card repeatedly within weeks.

Be aware that this company is deceptive. And they are not flexible or understanding when contacted.

Start to finish amazing support team

From start to finish my contact with the support team was amazing. They understood my problem, offered alternate solutions and everything was sorted through emails over 6 hours or so. Couldn't of been happier with the support team

BEWARE! Subscription Trap - Hidden Charges!

Total scam website. I signed up for a 7-day trial for $1.49 to test their AI tool. There was absolutely no clear notice or warning that I would be charged $49.99 immediately after the trial ended. They completely hid the auto-renewal terms.

When I contacted customer support for a refund, they refused and only offered a "1-year free access" instead of returning my money. They are using automated templates to deny refunds to everyone. Do not trust this site, do not enter your card details!

Scam - No!

Scam. Paid $1.49 for a conversion to combine two jpgs to one file and was charged 49.99 a week later for a “subscription”

Deceptive

I generated a single image for free and then paid a small amount to be able to edit the image. But, frankly, the editing capability I was able to access was poor. However, they then took my details and signed me up for a monthly subscription of approx. £40 which I didn't want and, as far as I was aware, I didn't sign up for. Their way of operating is not transparent, is deceptive and down right fraudulent. I'm now trying to get my money back but they're resisting. I have to go through this process with them first but if it comes to nothing then my credit card company will step in and reclaim the money. Nothing good to say about them. Don't use.

A potentially good service but shady subscription

The pixel enhancer works well, but watch out: what appears to be a $1.50 one-time payment is actually the entry point to a $50 weekly subscription — with no clear disclosure at checkout. I only found out when the charge hit a week later. Refund was handled quickly once I reached out, but the billing practice is deceptive and needs to change.

Excellent customer support, even if it was my mistake

I needed to remove the background on one image for a local charity's logo. Unfortunately, I didn't see that the £1.11 payment was not for downloading the one image, but a subscription fee for one weeks usage, which would then roll over to a monthly subscription at £33.55.
I noticed a few days after this roll over happened, and immediately contact customer services, who not only gave me a full refund of the £33.55, but also the initial period too. They also offered me partial refunds with access to their services to remain too, asking me which option would suit my needs.
I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service to be honest, so understanding and helpful.

"Pixella" is a scam operation

Poxella / pixella is a sophisticated scam operation. They offer a free trial of their AI image generating software (which btw is ported from chat gpt which is free if you use it directly) and then offer to remove the watermark from the "free" image for $1.49.

Buried in the fine print of your $1.49 transaction is fine print signing you up to an AUD$70 per month subscription.

Straight up scam. When you go back and click through and check the transaction details the wording in their scam contract they tricked ypu into signing is exactly the ass covering legalese you would expect from a professional purpose built scam operation seeking to minimise their liability.

Had to block the transaction with my bank and get my card replaced. Annoying AF.

Evidently they have managed to train bots to write positive reviews to cover their tracks. What a hive of evil bastardry.

These people are utter scum and need to be shut down.
