We have recently returned from a holiday on the Ghan, it was advertised in November in the Saturday newspaper for $5.999.00, but when we phoned to book, the agent said, that was the price from Brisbane but it would cost extra from Perth because it's further away, and the charge would be $13.398.00, we were shocked and very reluctant to pay that much, that's an extra $1.464.00, considering the advertised price was $5.999.00. We did book in November as it's been on our bucket list, and thinking everyone from Perth would be paying the same price. When we were on the train, we made friends with other people from Perth and they said they paid the advertised price, and was never told it would be extra, they booked in December from the November advert, (the same advert as us) so why is it such a big difference, they did say they flew with Virgin, and we flew with Qantas, but we were never given the option of which company to use, of course we would have preferred to go with Virgin. I have been in touch with Virgin and Qantas about the difference in price, even though it did cost extra with Qantas we still paid $462.00 above the difference in price. Of course when I found out that we had to pay way above the advertised price, and our friends had paid the advertised price we were very angry and upset, as you know I have been in touch with you and you said there was nothing you could do about it, that we had a bargain as the real price was a lot more, what a load of rubbish, we obviously feel very ripped off and won't be travelling with you anymore, there are so many other travel companies that we have used in the past and have never had trouble with them, so anyone reading this beware of the advertised price, it's not always what you get. On a good note, the trip was very good and we enjoyed it, it's a shame we were overcharged, otherwise we would have gone with you again.

First of all, it is great to hear that you had a wonderful time onboard the Ghan and during your time travelling with us. It is all too easy to get bogged down in the negatives when we had these sort of conversations, so thank you again for highlighting those positives of your experience.
As we discussed, while we do our best to ensure that advertised prices are correct at time of print, as we submit our material to newspapers weeks in advance, it occassionally is not correct when it comes time to be delivered to you. As my colleague Charles advised you when you booked in November, the correct price for your holiday departure from Perth was $6,899 per person, and we then applied a discount for you of $200 per person as well as an upgrade to Qantas flights from Virgin free of charge.
While I am unable to comment on the specifics of another passenger's holiday reservations, we always provide our guests with the correct price at the time of reservation. It is possible that they booked at a different time to yourselves, or had a promotion applicable at the time of their reservation or some other variation to the holiday - I again cannot comment on those specifics.

We had a wonderful experience with Imagine on an 18 day Azamara Cruise Sydney to Singapore and then on to a week long stay in India.Azamara will be our cruise line of choice from now on.We loved the small ship experience. India exceeded all expectations in every way.A huge shout out to Yasir our tour guide.He went above and beyond to help ensure the beautiful ring I purchased in Jaipur got to me safely at home when I had limited communication from the jeweller.Apart from that he was very informative about India,it’s history and it’s people.

What a great trip and value for money
After going on a disastrous trip with Imagine, this trip has been my best. They still have a lack of communication but the organisation(s) they contract out to makes up for their lack of details. Each organisation went out of their way to provide the best experience they could. This was also coupled with expert and experienced guides on all excursions. The meals were well above expectations.

Vietnam and Cambodia
My husband and I have just returned from 21 days in Vietnam and Cambodia. It was our first experience with Imagine holidays and I don’t hesitate to say “it will not be our last”.
Throughout the whole trip everything was well organised and well executed. Tour guides were prompt, knowledgeable and very friendly.
Hotels were of a high standard and very comfortable.
We did have one long travel day, but overall
we enjoyed every aspect of the trip. Especially the week long, all inclusive cruise with Lotus Cruises on the Mekong Navigator. The staff were amazing! It was a special highlight.
All in all we would not hesitate to recommend Imagine Holidays.

It was a small Group tour of Vietnam…
It was a small Group tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. The issuing of tickets was easy. Instructions on necessary visas and travel insurance were clear. No hitch with flights from Perth to Singapore and on to Hanoi. There met the rest of our five members of the group. Met with knowledgeable guides shown hotels and arranged all ongoing tours.Throughout our two week+ tour had different but knowledgeable guides. Their arrangements with drivers, hotels etc were flawless. This is my 3rd travel arrangement with Imagine Holidays Australia. Whilst the others by Imagine were good, this one exceeded our expectations.I have used a variety of Australian based travel agents, but I have found Imagine has generally been better in the follow up and care shown to me and my wife in the arrangements. I do not know if they (Imagine) were more expensive than other competitors but the choice of hotels, the location of hotels the amount of leisure time and the meals were all excellent. Our group have all agreed without encouragement to provide review to other platforms. I am more than happy to speak to anyone in Australia of our age group (70- 84) to discuss this further. Also our Aussie groups - although diverse, got on well with each other having met for the first time. And like other tours we have been some I know will keep in touch long after this trip.
One minor suggestion- there needs to be more information available to persons who have to walk or climb steps on uneven surfaces in these countries. One member of our group had to sometimes stay back and not risk climbing steps in places like the Angkor Wok Temples etc.

Great time on Indian Pacific rail journey
The Indian Pacific train experience was fantastic. After 3 nights in Perth we boarded and ate like kings, had a fabulous array of beverages and wonderful staff. The lounge car enabled us to meet friendly people from all over the world. Off train activities in Kalgoorlie, Barossa Valley, Broken Hill and the Blue Mountains were brilliantly organised and and highly enjoyable. Whilst it is not cheap, it is so worth it.

We recently returned from a relaxing holiday on the Cunard Queen Elizabeth from Sydney to Singapore in February organised by a wonderful Imagine team who were alway there to support the guests ,especially in Singapore .The ship was elegant and catering for all needs was excellent . Solo female traveller
As a solo female traveler, I was advised I had to make my own way to the hotel from a very busy international airport in an Asian country, as my flights had to be booked separately to everyone else. It was a daunting experience and not a good start to a dream holiday. A few times the guide did not ensure I was okay on my own. I was not asking for special treatment, just a more caring approach. The tour itself was fabulous though, as my fellow travellers were the best!

Could not speak more highly of our trip to India. Our guide (Sanjay) was helpful, organized, knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure every individual was catered for. Every day was packed with fun, adventure, surprises and excitement. We feel as though we have seen and experienced all the things you would hope to see on a short (13 day) trip to India. Taj Mahal, Tigers, elephants, snake charmers, train rides, tut tut rides, shopping, temples, forts and much more. The accommodation was perfect at every city. Cruise to Singapore and Mekong River cruise
We recently did a 4 week trip through imagine holidays cruising with Queen Elizabeth to Singapore followed by 2 weeks travelling through Vietnam and Cambodia on the Mekong navigator.
The ships were superb. Choice of hotels and locations was spot on.
Mekong navigator was delightful. Great food and friendly staff providing excellent service.
The guides were knowledgeable and gave good presentations.
Well worth doing abd will certainly travel with imagine again. This is our third trip and a 4th Christmas and new year cruise coming up.

Learn how real tour companies look after there traveller
You really need to travel with a real travel company eg, APT OR AAT KINGS.
a tour guide on board be nice in case things go belly up.
Times, etc bus leave person behind in hotel when they not answer phone or door ...could be in need of help or dead. Second tour should have knowledge of places travelling to not bus driver.
Get porters to collect luggage take to rooms and return luggage to bus when leaving accommodation.
Lots of older need this.
Bus travels not explained how long journey is.
Breakfast boxes.
Best leave out.
Where's meet n greet night ???.
Pretty pore effort.
Never travel with your company ever again.
Some elderly people struggled through this trip.
We didn't send things we were told about.
Very, very disappointing 😞.

Imagine Holidays left nothing to chance…
Imagine Holidays left nothing to chance on our recent holiday on the Queen Elizabeth to Singapore cruise. They were always available when required and were very friendly and obliging. When we went to events in Singapore they ensured we did not get lost by having a large amount of guides available to look after us and tend to all our needs. We will be looking towards Imagine Holidays for future trips as they impressed us immensely

P&O Pacific Explorer Fremantle to Singapore and 6 day guided tour of India's Golden Triangle
Our holiday package that included a P&O cruise on the Pacific Explorer from Fremantle to Singapore and then on a guided tour of India's Golden Triangle was fabulous from beginning to end. Imagine kept us fully informed from beginning to end. In India our tour guide Deep was both knowledgeable and terrific! The coach was new and comfortable, the driver amazing! Lunches on the tour were at beautiful restaurants with good food and facilities. The hotels were all 5 star. What an amazing holiday we have had. Thankyou Imagine Holidays Australia. Would definitely book with you again!!
