In2 Computing Ltd goes the extra mile

In2 Computing Ltd provides a terrific service and will go the extra mile to ensure that you have the result you need. I have used them several times and recommend them very highly. In my dealings with them, they have been efficient and totally trustworthy and their pricing is very reasonable considering the high quality of their work.

Setting up a new business

I was very pleased with the help and guidance we received from Yogi and his team. Whenever things were not quite right he was patient and got them sorted out. He was particularly helpful dealing with issues from the inherited set-up of my last business.

Exceptionally poor Customer Service.

I spoke to Yogi at ‘In2 Computing’ by phone and explained I wanted to be shown how to download music to my PC which had Windows 11 and how to transfer my music to my MP3 as I was new to Windows 11. I thought the price of £90 for 30 minutes inclusive of V.A.T a bit steep but I figured an expert would soon show me in a few clicks how to solve my problem. The engineer Demoss arrived on time and was polite but said he’d been told I just had a Windows 11 issue to sort out. After I explained what I required he quickly explained that it was now impossible to transfer music from a PC to an MP3. He said I needed Spotify which I already had to download the music from Spotify to my PC. I was aware that we’d already used up the 30 minutes I’d paid for and was reluctant to fork out another £90 as he seemed no nearer showing me what I needed to do so he left. I emailed the company and Yogi phoned me to clarify my complaint. I asked for at least a partial refund as it was a wasted £90. He asked me if I’d told the engineer what I wanted and I said that of course I had even if I couldn’t remember the exact conversation. He said he had been on the phone to me for 32 minutes and that in itself was costing him money also that the call was being recorded. I pointed out that when I had originally made the appointment that the call had been recorded so he only had to listen to that to prove that I had indeed asked then what I requested. When a dissatisfied customer wants to make a complaint it’s not good manners to say being on the phone is costing your firm money as every business has a duty of customer service. I give good reviews on Trustpilot regularly as I frequently use them to judge whether to employ someone to do household jobs but not in this case.
This is the reply I have sent in answer to Yogies excuse for not doing as I asked. (see below)
Yogie
The 30 minutes was up by the time Demoss explained that I would have to use Spotify to download music to my PC. By the time I'd have entered my card details to subscribe and then have Demoss show me how to download the music the cost to pay your company would have far outweighed the price of a new PC. Your customer service attitude to 'costing you money' talking to me on the phone was despicable as that was the reason I asked you to send an engineer round in the first place. It was 'your' lack of communication with your engineer telling him I had a Windows 11 issue when as you know I'd explained I wanted to be shown how to download music to my PC. He established very early in his visit that transferring music to my old MP3 wasn't possible so what did he say we spent the rest of the 30 minutes discussing? I made the foolish assumption that by paying such an exorbitant price I would have received first class service or at least some recompense when you failed to complete the task.
Update 20/11/2022
I see you’ve further edited your reply to my complaint saying ‘Sometimes, certain customers want everything for nothing and that's where we draw the line and say no’. How dare you accuse me of wanting everything for nothing, I was clear in what I asked for and yet you obviously sent your engineer to me without fully explaining to him what I required. I’m still non the wiser as to how to download music to my PC as my experience with you has been so negative I’m loath to engage another company for fear of throwing good money after bad. I’m a pensioner and £90 is a lot of money to waste yet you complained I was costing you money when we talked on the phone to remedy my problem. Perhaps if you’d instructed your engineer properly before his arrival he would have been able to complete the task in the 30 minutes you allocated.
Dated 20/03/2024. I have since discovered how to transfer music from my PC to my MP3 by downloading from Amazon and regularly use this 'simple' method. Your engineer gave me the wrong information saying my MP3s were all too outdated when in fact they'll serve me for many years to come.
................................Dated 02/05/2024 I have yet to receive any apology from the above company that I was in fact able to transfer my music via Amazon and that I could have wasted a small fortune replacing my MP3s as they weren't outdated. I've never made a genuine complaint and been told talking the problem over with the customer was costing the company money. Absolutely dreadful Customer Service.

Hello Paul, I am very sorry to hear that you weren't happy with our service. I did make clear of my charges and how it works over the phone. You did admit to me over the phone that the engineer showed you how to use Spotify and you need to pay for ad-free premium service, but you weren't willing to pay extra to Spotify. Also, the engineer advised you that your MP3 player is too old and not compatible to install Spotify. When you sent me an email in this regard, I did call you to get to the bottom of the issue, but we were going round and round about what was required and what was done for over 40 minutes. I hope you can understand that we simply cannot refund just because you are not sure what is it you want the engineer to do.

We always have provided the best service possible to our customers for almost 14 years now. We still have our first ever customer as our customer. That won't happen if we didn't provide good service. If it's our fault, we always step up, accept our mistakes, go over and beyond to help the customer and make them happy. Sometimes, certain customers want everything for nothing and that's where we draw the line and say no.

Support that is above & beyond!

We received the level of support that we had come to expect from In2Computing in terms of the equipment; but what impressed us most was your recommendations around our IT security.

You took the time to speak to one of my new hires about their remote set up; quickly identified a possible security risk for the Company and then provided me not only with advice and guidance, but a solution within budget and easy to install.

It is this level of service that distinguishes your Company from other IT providers that I have used and I have had no hesitation in recommending you to our contacts.
