Inchmead brilliant accountants

I was very unhappy with my accountants and looked at a few companies , and Inchmead stood out . I have now been with them for 18 months and they are just amazing . I wished I had been with them from the start . . It's the personal service that is also just brilliant. I cannot praise them enough .

Do Trustpilot Actually Have The Balls To Address EVERY Complaint?

Update: 07-12-2025.
Now 3 YEARS and 6 MONTH on.
This is becoming more and more infuriating. I am now 79 years old. Still no progress from Loan Administrator (Inchmead - director Graham Arnott and previous director Hybre Lewis) a/o Security Trustees (Jade State Wealth - director, Graham Arnott). Do these supposed accountants actually know the UK legal definition of INSOLVENCY? Below is a review that I submitted previously with others, Trustpilot have removed them. In essence, since I submitted the original review, nothing has changed with regard to this matter.
Previous review: "I personally believe that Inchmead are out of their depth and are incapable and/or unqualified to manage certain activities which they profess to be experts in (they say they are accountants but they needs third party actuaries to do the real work) and unfortunately a little knowledge has possibly turned into a dangerous thing). Our horrendous experience, over the past five years, with regard to the money we loaned to Marcello Developments (UK) Ltd. has been handled with unprofessionalism and incompetence. Another major problem is that Partner: Complex Matters not only is Marcello Company Secretary and Company Accountant but is also sole owner of the company Jade State Wealth (the Security Trustee) – Is this even legal? To me it smacks of “conflict of interest”. Some of our 5 year Inchmead experience highlights are:-

The first letter I received from Inchmead, signed by Partner: Complex Matters (Graham Arnott) and dated 8th February 2016, stated: “Your Loan Note has been issued and is enclosed within this pack. Accounting Worx are the appointed administrators of the loans and we will be your first point of contact for anything administrative”.

On the 19th September 2017 we forewarned Partner: Complex Matters that we would be redeeming our investment on 8th February 2018 (the second anniversary of our investment).

On 19th September 2017 Partner: Complex Matters replied “We have sent a copy thereof to the Investor Relations team at Marcello for you. On the maturity date, please send us a letter together with your original bond certificate. Please write to: Jade State Wealth, Atlantic House, Imperial Way, Reading, RG2 0TD. We will acknowledge receipt in writing within 2/3 working days. At the same time, we will give notice to the directors at Marcello to redeem your bond and make funding available to us to make payment to you for the capital sum and accrued interest”. THIS STATEMENT WAS NOT FULFILLED IN ANY REGARD AND FOR THE PAST 3.5 YEARS WE HAVE NOT HAD THE ORIGINAL BOND (Loan Note Certificate).

On 9th March 2018 we mailed the Redemption Request and original bond certificate to Jade State Wealth (a Graham Arnott sole director company). Following a prompt from us Partner: Complex Matters acknowledged receipt of the mailed package on 16th March 2018.

Since 16th March 2018 (more than 3.5 years) we have been to trying to recover our investment and interest from the "appointed administrator" Inchmead, as have around another 100+ investors in similar circumstances. We have received many epistles, fairy stories and untruths from Partner: Complex Matters but no positive progress in the recovery of funds. We have persistently requested and demanded that the Security Trustee (Jade State Wealth - Partner: Complex Matters - must fulfil its legal duty but to no acknowledgement or avail.

The last communication we had from Partner: Complex Matters was on 15th June 2020 (6 months ago), in which Partner: Complex Matters stated “In closing, and I will send further details later this week, we are in advanced discussions with the firm XXXXXXXXXX who are ready, willing and able to be appointed as Receiver to deal with the matter, including dealing directly with XXXXXXXXX. We have provided some of the documents XXXXXXXXXXX requested for the first phase of due diligence and I am sure they will come back with questions or require more documents, which we will provide”.

Since 15th June 2020 (6 months ago) I have heard nothing from Inchmead the "Appointed Administrator of the loan", Partner: Complex Matters, Jade State Wealth, Marcello Developments (UK) Ltd., a Receiver or anyone else in relation to this matter.
I would advise anyone thinking of using Inchmead for accounting or any other services to think again.

Mr. Brown,

I am very sorry that you are unhappy with the service you feel you received from us regarding the investment you made in Marcello Developments (UK) Limited. Jade State Wealth continue to act as Security Trustee. Our continued appointment can be verified here: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/09421841/charges and we do still have a first charge over the assets of the company.

We have not intimidated you or blackmailed you. All we asked of you is that if you post reviews or content on social media, you do so truthfully, avoid hate speech and do not include defamatory statements.
You have also sought out members of our staff and contacted them on personal social media accounts, which we find untenable.

Furthermore, we are not sure how we could possibly have intimidated or threatened Trust Pilot. They removed your previous reviews as they contained content that breached their guidelines, including hate speech and / or defamatory statements.

We would like to take this opportunity to point out that:
1. We did not need to employ actuaries to “do the real work”. We asked a third party to confirm the complex calculations that were required of us. It is not unusual for professional firms to seek independent advice or review when required.
2. Graham Arnott is not the sole owner of the companies you mentioned. That statement is incorrect.
3. Graham Arnott is not the Company Secretary to Marcello Developments (UK) Limited. That statement is incorrect.
4. Neither Graham Arnott or Inchmead Accountants Ltd, are the accountants for Marcello Developments (UK) Limited. Your statement is incorrect.
5. There is no conflict of interest. We only hold one position as that is Jade State Wealth Limited being Security Trustee.
6. You did present your loan certificate to us, which we forwarded by post to Marcello Developments (UK) Limited as required. That is where our duty ends. It is the duty of Marcello Developments (UK) Limited to repay your money.
7. Your loan document has not been stolen from you. That statement is untrue. Your loan is still registered in the loan register of Marcello Developments (UK) Limited. Please login to the web portal and you can verify that. We are uncertain how we can steal a loan document when your names are on it, were signed by you and repayment can only be made to you.
8. Jade State Wealth Limited are Security Trustees. We are not insolvency practitioners and cannot provide services as an administrator or liquidator. Only persons qualified as an insolvency practitioner can accept and conduct those appointments. Perhaps you have misunderstood “we are the appointed administrators of the loans and your first point of contact on anything administrative”?
9. Your statement that you have not heard from us since June 2020 is also untrue. We corresponded with you in response to your various emails in November and December 2021.

In closing:
As we have said to you in correspondence about the matter, our duties as set out in the Security Trust Deed are to:
(a) hold a first fixed and floating charge over the assets of the company,
(b) forward any correspondence received from Marcello Developments (UK) Limited to creditors, and
(c) to form a loan note holders majority group in the event of Marcello Developments (UK) Limited’s administration or insolvency.

We have no authority or duty to correspond with loan note holders independently and have no duty (legal or otherwise) to repay loan note holders or enforce payment on your behalf.

We will continue to fulfil our duties under the Security Trust Deed for as long as needed.

Not just accountants. They are amazing.

Inchmead have been amazing. What seemed like an insurmountable problem to our previous accountants was solved quite quickly. They clearly have the knowledge, the experience and the skill to get things done that other accountants don't.

I like the 'feel' of the practice and the team. They have so much to offer, "they're not just accountants" is absolutely true.

I've worked with Inchmead for over a decade!

I've worked with Inchmead for over a decade now and they have provided support on a number of different disciplines such as accounting, bookkeeping, legal advice, tax consulting & business administration. Their team is very knowledgable and experienced and they provide a great customer service.

They've helped us to optimise our business over the years, which ultimately meant that we saved money and were able to grow more as a result.

I could recommend them more highly if you are looking for an expert accounting and business service provider.
