Evaluating 836 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers love how easy the platform is to set up, noting that the clean dashboard clearly tracks data removal progress and makes navigation effortless. Many people also mention a significant, noticeable drop in unsolicited spam calls and appreciate feeling much more secure and confident online every day. About Incogni

Written by the company

Incogni, a tool that helps prevent your personal information from being stored and sold by data brokers.

Upon the customers’ request, the tool identifies and communicates with dozens of data broker companies, so that the person’s details can be deleted from their databases.

Leading names in the data brokerage industry currently own data on hundreds of millions of consumers, some boasting up to 1500 data points per consumer.

With the introduction of GDPR and CCPA, all these companies are subject to giving or deleting information they hold on the person if they receive a formal request.

However, contacting each firm could take ages due to the excessive response frameworks companies have crafted and perfected.

Surfshark’s team of researchers contacted 36 data broker companies on their own to show how difficult this process can be. To get a final response took a little over 6 days from our first letter with each new data broker and more than 20 days with each established one.

Furthermore, 63% of the large data brokers asked for additional personal data which is not necessary to complete the inquiry (outside of ID copy), asking for a bank statement or even e-signature and thus prolonging the procedure.

“Data privacy is becoming an increasingly alarming issue, yet many people are still unaware of the hidden market that data brokers operate in,” – points out Vytautas Kaziukonis, Chief Executive Officer of Surfshark.

“As the sensitivity and scope of data they possess widen, so does the need to be able to opt-out of it. However, based on recent studies, the actual process of taking back data is an extremely tedious procedure, which requires legal knowledge and lots of persistence.

“Incogni aims to help users opt-out of these practices more efficiently and exercise their legal right to privacy easily.”

The Incogni privacy tool is available for purchase at the official link: https://incogni.com.

Very effective in reducing scam calls

The reason I tried Incogni was the growing number of spam calls. After one month the number of spam calls and mails dropped by at least 90 pct. Easy to set up, and they have a good dashboard that gives a good insight in what they do for you

Misleading 30-day money-back guarantee

Misleading 30-day money-back guarantee
They advertise a 30-day money-back guarantee, but hide in their fine print that it only applies once per lifetime per person. I purchased a subscription, cancelled immediately within hours without using it, and support outright refused to refund or cancel the pending charge. They agreed to delete my account and data under GDPR but still kept my 115 EUR for an unused service. Very anti-consumer practice. Taking this through a bank chargeback.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Our goal is to be transparent with our customers, and I apologize if our refund policy was not clear to you. The 30-day money-back guarantee is designed to let new users try our service risk-free.

As you mentioned, our Terms of Service do state that this is a one-time guarantee. In the section "What is Incogni’s payment, automatic renewal and refund terms?", it specifies: "You are allowed to request one (1) refund under the 30-day money-back guarantee... this means that You are entitled to a refund once, regardless of whether You decide to use the Incogni Service again." This policy is in place to prevent misuse and to be fair to all our customers.

We value your feedback and will use it to review how we can make our policies clearer to our customers in the future. For any other questions you may contact us at support@incogni.com.

Despite the relatively high cost of the fees I would recommend Icogni for data protection and to enhance online privacy

No different than the Spammers

These people are no different from the scammers they claim they are fighting. When you call in after 30 days to turn it off they tell you it takes 90 days to work then after 90 days they tell you they won't give you a refund or even a pro rated refund because their refund policy is 30 days. Don't believe a word they say, don't believe the bots they have writing positive reviews. They are scammers too!

We’re sorry to hear that your experience has left you feeling this way.

Incogni sends and follows up on removal requests to data brokers, but the time it takes for those requests to be processed—and for the impact to become noticeable—can vary. Some brokers may take longer to act on requests, and previously shared data can continue to result in unwanted contact for some time.

Our refund policy and its applicable timeframe are communicated in our Terms of Service. If you have questions about your account or Incogni’s service, please contact our Support Team at support@incogni.com.

I never knew how exposed I was.

I rest easier at night knowing I have an active partner to help me manage my information exposure. Over 700 sites have been cleared. After having a huge disinformation situation with a national company I never worked with or bought from I needed a professional team. That was Incogni.

Incogni works to have your data removed from brokers’ databases, but it can take some time before you notice fewer unwanted calls. Data brokers generally have 30–45 days to comply with a removal request, and your information may have been shared or sold before the deletion is completed.

You should start seeing results gradually after that period, although the timing can vary depending on how widely your data was distributed and how quickly individual brokers process requests.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our Support Team at support@incogni.com.

I feel safer

I feel safer. And I do have less spam calls. I think I have less emails. But I do not have true proof to show that there is a difference. I just trust that there is a change. Thank you. I do feel safer.

Literally had more unsolicited calls…

Literally had more unsolicited calls from American companies since I signed up for Incogni - I'm about half way through the first year... it's most definitely my one and only year! It's super expensive for what, despite what the claims are on their site, has been zero felt benefit at all! I'm sure Trustpilot/Incogni will bury this review, but take my advice and save your money!
