The customer service was often described as shocking, unhelpful, and difficult to deal with, particularly when trying to resolve warranty issues or arrange repairs. Some people were dissatisfied with the warranty process, finding it challenging to get repairs covered or facing unexpected charges. Faulty Washer Dryer from the day it arrived.

Bought a washer dryer 4 months ago and it has never once worked properly with water not draining properly. I have had 4 repair visits from super technicians so that service is good. However, the machine is faulty and in spite of many parts being replaced, it still doesn't work.
Secondly, the controls are very awkward and don't make a lot of sense. I would never buy an Indesit product again. I should have done more research before I bought it.

Don't Buy Indesit Products

Purchased a Indesit Condenser Tumble Dryer it has worked OK for the past 8 months, 8 weeks ago while it was on my electrics tripped, I thought it was a power cut, but no it was my tumble dryer, rang for Indesit Customer Services who advised next available appointment is 5 days later, engineer came out fixed problems, all worked ok until Thursday 30th October and it tripped my electrics again, rang Indesit Customer Services again and guess what I've had to wait another 5 days for an engineers visit they are not visiting until Tuesday 5th November between 7.15 -7pm, this Dryer isn't yet 1 year old and 2 faults with 2 months. I've got wet washing that now my Carer will have to wash again, it's a disgrace. I will never buy an Indesit again

Indesit Tall Fridge

Wet wall, big salad draw, spacious fridge with plenty of door storage.
Door seal is so strong, you need two hands to open the door.

Water droplets are collected in a container at the back of the fridge. The container rests on top of the compressor, but the water do not evaporate. Therefore, the container fills up and spill over on to the floor.
When you open the door, you can hear the water splashing and overflow.

The engineer said the downpipe is too wide taking in too much air.
Appliance written off.

Previous Fridge had an hairline crack and written off.

I only bought this model MTWC91495 in…

I only bought this model MTWC91495 in January this year because it was very slightly narrower than the others. I have had to have the engineer twice, problem fixed, but I am not at all happy with the machine itself.
1200 spin still leaves the washing quite wet. To me very complicated instructions for the programmes which I don't understand. The warranty is complicated; unless you take out the insurance you risk having to pay, if it turns out not to be a fault with the machine. I was put under a lot of pressure to take out insurance. I wish I could go back to my old Beko!!

Lying engineers will avoid doing any repair work

You know how dodgy parcel couriers will lightly tap your door, then quickly shove a "you were out" card through your letterbox so they can avoid doing any actual work?
Well that is the model for the repair engineers employed by Hotpoint/Indesit/Whirlpool. I'm not making this up, I've had the same engineer twice turn up at my door, waaay before the expected visit time (when Indesit knew I wasn't going to be in), shove a 'We missed you' card through and then I turn up - having booked time off work - to see this lazy repairman's dismal excuse. I have got this recorded on my video doorbell. Their engineer does not want to actually do the job of repairing a new washing machine that has a faulty microchip.
What makes it even more gruelling is that this workshy shyster is actually backed by the hopeless 'customer service' team at Hotpoint/Indesit/Whirlpool. These obnoxious petty liars insist that these engineers have to rebooked through their precious "system", that there is no chance of them returning at the actual QUOTED TIME THE CUSTOMER WAS TOLD. Oh no. Take another day off work and watch the same engineer do the same trick of turning up too early again so he can record a 'customer was out' response and gain his commission.
Nobody at Indesit cares about this. It's just scripted apologies and nobody there wants to take action against these lying engineers or even have this wretched system improved in favour of the customer.
There is no empathy for any customer who contacts them. You're just left taking a gamble on an engineer who might just actually turn up one day.
I'm sick of it now, having to now wait for a third appointment this time. It's got too much for me, so I am making it my mission to 1) pursue them through legal channels and 2) publish these negative (but entirely true and backed-with-personal-evidence) reviews.
They have no desire to change their dismal system that gives no accurate ETA, so my response is to write very public warnings about their shady business practices.
You have to teach these dodgy companies a lesson. Highlight their sick business practices to others, reduce their potential sales and show that their brand cannot be trusted. Only then will they realise the customers should be given some actual respect.

Never buying this brand again

Never buying this brand again. AVOID. We got an indesit cooker 2 years ago all was fine then the edge around the electric hob started bubbling and peeling off. Now the glass part to the hob is coming away and dipping. An engineer came out 4 months ago to look at the bubbling issue. We took out insurance with them and they wouldn't fix it. Now the glass hob part is coming away they want us to start the insurance again to get an engineer out to look at it. We're going around in circles. They will not replace unless we pay for an engineer ourselves or take out insurance. Clearly this is an manufacturer fault? Don't waste your time and money.

Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage. This is my second indesit dishwasher in just over 2 years. First one the heating element broke and leaked water all over after 14 months. Put it down to bad luck. So like a fool I bought another. That has now broken down after 13 months!! Yes, 1 month outside the guarantee. I'm not saying they've planned this into the system but it's shocking for a company like indesit to be selling junk like this.

Freezer parts unfit for purpose

Freezer: All 4 flimsy interior catches (Flap Stoppers) have broken, now replacements have broken too. Clearly they're unfit for purpose. At £11.99 ea these bits of plastic are a rip-off! Indesit support is a joke, it's via machines!!! Useless! Last time I buy Indesit.

Bought a Tumble Dryer with them and…

Bought a Tumble Dryer with them and tried to register for FREE 10 year parts guarantee. Rang tel number to be told that Indesit charge 144 per hour for call out so it would be better to take out an Insurance policy with Domestic General. It’s actually an Insurance Company you are dealing with. That is a scummy practice on Indesits part and not much better from InsCompany. Wish I had read Trust Pilots report on Indesit . I wouldn’t made that mistake

Poor service and low quality Washing machine

Purchased an indesit washing machine .Stopped working a year to the day of purchase .Had a hotpoint that worked for 15 years with out any faults.
Will be charged for the repair apparently even thought
it had one day to go on the warranty .Wish I hadn't bought it reading the reviews .Indesit seems to be a very unreliable brand .
The service engineer canceled the repair and didnt re book it .The text link I received took me to a page not found wen address .I am disabled and have been washing my underwear in my sink for a week .
Terrible service with no way of speaking to a real person. When I did get through to a person they hung up .
Don't ever buy and indesit product.
I finally spoke to a real person who offered me a £10 voucher for the inconvenience .I found that Insulting and rebooked the repair .Been with out a washing for a week now .
I was advised to write a letter of complaint as the what's app bott and other platforms do not address these issue successfully.
Update .The engineer turned up eventually and then refused to work on the machine as claiming my fuse box in my house was to old and he wouldn't work on my machine for his safety .
I have lived here for 20 years with no electricity problems Truly awful

Completely stopped working

I purchased an Indesit washing machine 18 months ago. It has now completely stopped working and have been told that the circuit board has broken. To be repaired, it would cost nearly as much as the washing machine. I contacted customer support who just said that it is out of warranty so nothing can be done. Very disappointed that I am now going to have to pay out for a new one

Indesit -rubbish washing machine

I would give this zero if I could. I was advised to buy one from a washing machine repair guy but why. The instructions don’t match what the machine does . What a waste of money . The max temp is 49 degrees and one wash only does 9kg

Indeshit. Aptly named.

Do not ever buy or use an Indeshit oven. If it lasts longer than six months without going wrong please call Guiness World Records. Otherwise these useless appliances will go wrong within weeks of purchase. If I could give this no stars, I would.

Bought 2 indesit I55RM1110w1 under…

Bought 2 indesit I55RM1110w1 under counter fridges, first the led bulbs went in both at a cost of £40 each, now they both have lost their gas charge so compressor is constantly running and not getting cold, the were both bought at the same time 2 years ago,had an engineer out(local one ,not indesit)said there is a leak of the gas and not worth repairing as it will still leak, contacted indesit and obviously not interested, fridges should last around 10 years not 2,avoid them if possible, for both fridges to go at the same time they must be a manufacturing fault or very cheap parts

A dishonest company

I bought an Indesit vented tumble dryer. There was no mention from Hotpoint/Indesit that this would no longer fit under a standard worktop. It used to, until 2 years ago, when they had a recall, and altered the dryers so then you had to use a semi-rigid metal exhaust hose rather than the usual flexible one. This increased the installed depth of the dryer from 61cm to 67cm.

When I contacted them, Hotpoint customer service simply tried to gaslight me, insisting it was still 61cm - despite the 'small print' in the installation instructions admitting the problem.

Interestingly, Argos, whom I bought the machine from, have in their Q&A (which I sadly only read fully after purchase) advice from December 2022 that the installed depth had increased to 67cm.

I'm appalled that Hotpoint/Indesit can seek to mislead customers like this. I can't think of a better way to destroy whatever reputation they possess.

The irony is, had Indesit been honest, it is quite possible (for a new installation) to install the vent through the wall so that the dryer fits. In my case, their dishonesty forced me to start over and do it all again, wasting half a day.

I shall avoid Hotpoint/Indesit in future. I don't think they deserve to be in business.
