SCAM - Infiniti One Recruitment Limited

I want to warn others about a potential recruitment scam operating under the names Infiniti One Recruitment Limited and Cedarstoneco.

I received an unsolicited call from Infiniti One Recruitment Ltd, who claimed that a recruiter was very impressed with my CV and that they had a client interested in seeing some of my project work. They asked for my email so they could send over more details.

However, instead of receiving an email from the supposed employer or recruiter, I was contacted by a completely different company called Cedarstoneco, along with a “Welcome Pack” PDF. The document stated that I would need to pay a £399 deposit to open a trading account — something that had never been mentioned during the initial call.

This is a major red flag. Legitimate recruiters and employers never ask candidates to pay money, especially before starting any work.

It appears that multiple company names are being used — possibly to confuse job seekers and make the process seem more credible. Both Cedarstoneco and AXI appear to share the same FCA registration link, which is highly suspicious and could be an attempt to appear authorised or regulated.

I haven’t seen other reviews about this yet, so I’m sharing my experience to warn others before they lose money or data.

If you’ve been contacted by either of these companies, report it to Action Fraud (UK) and block further contact.
