Not much integrity.

First off=this is NOT a review about the performance or dependability of their products. This review is focused specifically on Inmotions handling of customers. So I’ll first start this review with a positive note. If you call InmotionWorld you will typically get somebody. Always a guy named “Mike”. He’s a pretty nice guy. If I don’t get a hold of them they call back. Note: Don’t worry if it hangs up on you…it’s logged in their system and they call you back.
I will give a word of warning though. My mother was purchasing a scooter from them to send to my son for a Christmas present. Key point being that the billing and shipping address would be different due to us not living with my mother/different State. She made the purchase and had her credit card company on the line as she made the purchase. Note that there were 52 scooters IN STOCK per the web sight. Purchase cleared and we thought all was well for my son to get the scooter well before Christmas. So a better part of a week goes by and my mom tells me that she has not received any shipping confirmation. She’s not very comfortable with confrontations so I told her I would call. I found out later that she called after I called. “Mike” told me it was hung up in shipping and they would get on it right away so my son would get his scooter before Christmas. I reminded him that my mother ordered it and the billing and shipping were two different addresses. He informed me that my mom (the credit card holder) had contacted them already and it would be good to go. I reminded him how important it was that my son get his scooter before Christmas. I also confirmed with him that they did indeed have 52 scooters in stock. I was making sure that this debacle wasn’t happening due to them not having the item in stock and opting to lie to me rather than tell the truth that there WASN'T any in stock. I’ve had plenty of past orders that taught me this lesson. He assured me that this was not the case. 5 more days go by and nothing. Mind you that it has now been 12 days since the initial order was placed. I called again and got the same representative. He said there was a discrepancy because the shipping and billing were two different addresses. No s*#~?! I argued with him about how poor of a business practice it is to wait 22 days to tell me that there is a credit card discrepancy. Especially after the payment had already cleared on day one with the credit card company. This conversation should have taken place on DAY 1…not day 22! He then said he got it cleared up and to watch for a shipping confirmation “in the next two days”. 3 more days pass and nothing. I had my mom call (again!) to clear it up as the main cc holder. She got the same rep and once again was told “it’s all cleared up. You’ll get shipping info in the next 2 days”. This company has no integrity. They have lied now on 4 occasions with me and 3 with my mother. My son will not get his scooter in time for Christmas. If they don’t come through with their latest promise, I will cancel the order. I would have canceled it after the first two debacles, but my son is really, really set on the RS. I can’t even imagine what it will be like if there is ever a warranty claim on the scooter?! God help us if it ever comes to that. I have to recommend using Vorro if your stuck on getting an Inmotion scooter.
Also note that on their web sight it states in a rather large colored font=“item will arrive in 3 to 10 business days”. This is pretty deceiving as they can basically take as long as they want to process it. So they may (as in my example) take 24 days to even ship the item. THEN AFTER THAT TIME PERIOD it “MAY” arrive 3 to 10 business days. You do however pay extra for shipping insurance ($75 for the RS) in which they state that you have 30 days from the date of purchase to cancel the order. You see where I’m going with that? IF they by some miracle get it shipped in the next two days I will be right up on the 30 days. No bueno. I highly recommend finding another e scooter company with integrity. Buyer beware.
Update 12/24/24: Note: my mother called on 12-21-24 and was first told that the payment still has not cleared when it had already been charged on the 9th of December. She then got aggressive (go mom!) and said that that was a complete lie. He then proceeded to check his computer and told my mom that it “SHOULD” be shipped in two days”…..fit the fourth time now. She said they better stop lying about that and ship it or she would cancel the order. I called Inmotion this morning and got the same rep (Mike). I gave him a chance to be honest and he went right into the deep end and told me that there was still an issue with the payment. I informed him of the conversation with my mother and that I knew he was lying to both of us. I told my mother and she was infuriated about being lied to….again. Order was canceled. They had MORE than enough opportunities.

They are selling last year model…

They are selling last year model inmotion climber without the turn signals. Buy from a distributor that has the new models. Not a factory cleaning out there warehouse. Unit was shipped quickly and works, but I would not have purchased this unit if I had known what model it is.
