We have recently returned from our Camino holiday and we wanted to say a BIG thank you to all at Inntravel for such an outstanding experience. From our very first contact with them right through to when we arrived in Santiago De Compostela, everything met our expectations and was so well organised. As for the bottle of sparkling wine which was in our room when we completed the Camino, well what a lovely touch that was and it was so very much appreciated. Thank you. All the accommodation along the way was just perfect and the guide book was - all be it a tad ambiguous at times - both helpful and informative. We are already thinking about our next adventure with Inntravel and we will have absolutely no hesitation in recommending your services to friends and family. Sincere thanks to you all , from a couple of newly appointed PIlgrims, for an experience which will live in our memories for many many years to come.

Our holiday with Inntravel, was everything we expected it to be. Well planned, accurate in its description and good communications with the main office. We stayed in lovely interesting hotels and had great walking.

Everything very well organised, from flights to taxis to transfers and walks, and the hotels were spot-on.

A well organised walking holiday along the Fisherman's trail in Portugal, with clear walking notes and luggage transfer. Hotels used were well appointed and comfortable and travel arrangements worked well. Inntravel is always reliable in providing a well organised itinerary.

We enjoyed our holiday 'Gargnano: The quiet side of Lake Garda' once we got there - more on that later. We travelled by train from London, and we found that the support from Inntravel for arranging this was abysmal. It seemed that Inntravel now has a few experienced staff members and a large number of barely trained new recruits.
Inntravel offered to arrange rail travel from St Pancras to Garda, so we asked them to do that. Big mistake. When we rang up with questions about our travel arrangements we repeatedly found that the staff member would promise to find the answers to our questions and to phone or email us the next day. Most often they did not do so, and we had to ring again. When we eventually got an answer it was often incomplete or did not provide what we asked for. I lost count of the number of different staff members I spoke to.
We had asked them to include travel on the Bernina Express, which takes a scenic route through the Swiss Alps to Italy. The itinerary they suggested for the first leg of the journey (London to Chur) was ridiculous, including taking 6 trains, often with only a few minutes between trains, taking 10.5 hours travelling after the 1.5 hour check-in at St Pancras. They had no suggestions for the second leg of the journey, saying "We have some limitations on tailored arrangements in our system".
I researched a possible itinerary myself, and found much simpler and quicker routes. I emailed this to Inntravel, and it was eventually implemented after many more phone calls and emails. I wish I had instead made the arrangements myself.
When I asked for a breakdown of the costs of the hotels and train journeys, I was told "With regard to a detailed cost breakdown, I am afraid this is not something we are currently able to provide, as our reservation system generates a total package price rather than itemising each individual component of the holiday." This is very poor practice.
Having experienced this very poor level of service, after many successful Inntravel holidays in the past, we are unlikely to use them again.
As for the holiday itself, it was good. The hotel Gardenia had wonderful views, and the staff were excellent: always cheerful and helpful in any way possible.
The description of the holiday as "The quiet side of Lake Garda" was misleading. Gargnano itself was quite quiet, but other places such as Limone were heaving with tourists in September, making it impossible to enjoy.
By far the best walk was the Valle delle Cartiere. The steep-sided valley was spectacular, and the museum on paper-making very interesting.
Edit: Inntravel's reply below is misleading. It is true, as they say, that rail disruption required a last-minute change to the route of the return journey. I didn't complain about that. I complained about the disorganised initial planning of the route and the repeated broken promises to answer questions about it.

A great holiday with Inntravel. This is the third holiday we have had with them and everything goes so smoothly. I love the gpx walking instructions. They make it so easy.
We’ll be booking another one next year.

We have just returned from the "3 cities by rail "tour of Andalucia, and have had the best time! The walking tours enabled us to sight-see at our own pace and showed us parts of the cities we would never have seen otherwise. Excellent experience.
The staff at La Casas del Rey de Baeza in Seville, and at Llave de la Juderia in Cordoba were really friendly and helpful, rooms very comfortable.
The Casa Morisca staff (Granada) were less engaaged with their guests, but this didn't detract from our holiday.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip to friends and family, and would love to do another of the journey by rail holidays in the future.
Thanks for making our holiday stress free and really enjoyable

Great communication, clear instructions, wonderful accommodations in the Dorset countryside. My husband and I are 76, and enjoyed the trip immensely. Highly recommend!

As with all of our holidays with Inntravel, the walking holiday along the Amalfi Coast was fabulous. The walking routes were spectacular and well described in the notes, the towns we stayed in were beautifully chosen and varied in character, and the hotels were all charming and welcoming. The booking process was extremely smooth and the support we received was faultless.

This was such an enjoyable holiday, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the ability to use the cable cars to access heights we could not now have achieved under our own steam made it outstanding. The hotel, as usual, with Inntravel was lovely, warm welcoming staff lovely room location and wonderful food. The walk notes were, as ever, well written and easy to follow. This holiday is now vying for first place in our memories with our first holiday with Inntravel in the Costa Brava!

Another excellent walking holiday with Inntravel, this time in Tuscanny (last year Umbria). Beautiful walks, very good hotels (one outstanding), pickups on time, luggage at the hotels when we arrived. We especially like being able to adapt the itinerary when booking to add some extra days, this time in Siena and Pisa.

really well put together - walks came in a good order so that we didn't get too tired... great route instructions - we never got lost! the hotels were on the whole good and take the visitors to interesting parts of towns and regions that one might not think to go to off their own back. felt like we had a genuine insight into a remote part of italy. definitely worth the money and the bonus is that because you are doing hearty walks for 6 days you also can have hearty meals to keep the energy up! Perfect.

Inntravel once again arranged an amazing holiday for us. The choice of locations was varied and interesting and they ensured that travel was an enjoyable part of our three centre holiday.

Inntravel selected an excellent hotel, Parador de la Palma, for my walking holiday in La Palma, Canary Islands.
Despite some mixed reviews on Trustpilot, I found the hotel to be of a very high standard, with very well appointed rooms, which were cleaned thoroughly every day, very responsive staff who were always available and willing to help, and excellent food for both breakfast and evening meals. Service in the restaurants was always fast and efficient.
I would gladly stay in the hotel1 again.
A guided tour of the recently created Tajogaite Volcano, organised by Isla Bonita Tours, was a highlight of the trip and very knowledgeable tour guides provided comprehensive information in Spanish, German and English, as required.
Walking notes and gps tracks were thorough and offered details for walks of different difficulty levels and I particularly enjoyed walks above the clouds at the rim of Caldera de Taburiente to Pico de La Nieve and a there and back walk from Pico de La Cruz along the GR131 towards Roque de los Muchachos. The views from the rim are not to be missed.

We used InnTravel for a walking trip in Italy. We chose the Pathways of Puglia self-guiding walking tour. We also added on 3 nights in Rome and 3 nights in Naples in which InnTravel booked our hotels and arranged for our train transportation. I can't say enough about InnTravel and their attention to detail. We had a wonderful walking vacation. All of the accommodations were good and most were excellent. We especially loved when we could stay in a Masseria. These agriturismo accommodations were a piece of rural Italy that provided farm to table meals, quiet and comfortable rooms with private patios and swimming pools. We only had one day that the written walking instructions were off and didn't match the GPS but we made our way with no issues using Google Maps.
I would highly recommend this travel company with no reservations.

This is a great walking holiday. The location is stunning and the walks provided by Inntravel were very good and the difficulty described was accurate. Directions and notes were accurate and the provision of GPX files was a bonus. We used Komoot to open them although other apps are available.
We stayed at the Rainell resort which was excellent - a great location for the walks and getting into the town. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was great.
If you use the chair lifts more than once it's worth investing in the 6-day Gardena pass which is really good value - the hotel gave us this advice.
A great holiday - fully recommend.

Inntravel selected a series of excellent hotels for our walk from the Basque Pyrenees to the Atlantic. All came with a warm welcome and excellent food. The walks were challenging but doable and showed of the Pyrenees to great effect.

This was our third stay in this excellent hotel, but the first in summer. The staff is always very helpful and seemed genuinely concerned when one of our suitcases didn’t make the trip. They communicated with the airline to coordinate its delivery on the second day of our stay.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. However, it faced west, as do half of the rooms of the hotel, and the afternoon sun made our balcony terribly hot and unusable. As there is no air conditioning, the room was also very warm at night. A room on the east side, facing the lake, would have been a lot more comfortable.
The meals at Hotel Wiesenhof are always a highlight!
We walked around the lake and returned by boat (which we found extremely expensive). We also took the Karwendel cable car, but we found the Bärenkopf extension quite difficult. It had rained the day before, and the trails were still wet and very slippery. We thought of turning back after a while, but the descent would have been much more difficult than the ascent, so we kept going… In the winter, we usually walk back on the sled path, but the descent suggest by Inntravel through the forest was much more interesting.

The holiday overall was just amazing.
The itinerary was spot on with time in the mountains then time on the lake. The transfers were good too.
But what really made it, was the stunning hotels, delicious food and the well thought out walks. Not too hard, there was still time to relax and take things slowly but challenging terrain at times, which we enjoyed. Breathtaking mountains and the beautiful lake Iseo.
