I bought InsertChat on AppSumo with a Tier 3 lifetime deal, and the experience has been bad.

After not using it for a while, I logged back in just to check the status of my account. The platform asked me to add a credit card, making it look like a normal verification step and suggesting no charge would be made. I was charged anyway.

I opened a support ticket for something very simple: clarify my lifetime plan status and refund a charge that should never have happened in the first place. The reply took far too long for such a basic billing issue, and when they finally answered, they basically said the charge was non-refundable because their system had activated a Pro plan and their infrastructure costs had already been incurred. In other words, the problem started with their own confusing setup, but the customer is the one expected to absorb the loss.

What makes this worse is not just the unexpected charge, but how misleading the whole flow feels:

they ask for a card even if you are a lifetime user
the interface is confusing enough to push you into a paid upgrade
then they hide behind their terms to deny a refund
and support is slow even when the issue is straightforward

In the end, they offered to restore my lifetime plan, but still refused to refund the Pro charge.

I cannot recommend a product that handles billing like this and treats an AppSumo lifetime customer this way.

A totally disappointing service

This was the worst investment I've ever made in lifetime software. There's no support, they don't deliver on the features I paid for, there are many errors on the platform that make it almost unusable, a disappointing service, and it wasn't cheap at all. Don't hire problems and don't take risks with lifetime plans with unprofessional companies like this.

This is a very misleading and unresponsive company. I signed up for what I thought was a free trial, but it was not free at all; they instantly charged my card for an annual subscription. I sent multiple emails and messages, and never received any responses. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Lacking support

Lacking support, riddled with errors, not reliable as any form of chat agent. Zak is cocky and does not actually attend to support issues.

worst experience ever.

from my experience of buying a lot of lifetime deals, over 300, this was the worst experience of all of them. I reported a bug a couple of times via contact, no auto reply was received so I posted on the deal page and the vendor went mad, he told me to refund, all I did was report a bug. psyc-ho.
