I love the Inspiration product and have…
I love the Inspiration product and have used it for many years. The hassle of downloading and installing the app was not as seamless as it should be for a one-license purchase, having to involve our IT team in the process. Otherwise, I'm happy.

On devices that are part of an organization's network, the IT department will sometimes be required to make changes to a user's rights or device permissions, to allow Inspiration 11 to be installed. This is because installation of the software requires admin rights.

Only 1 minor flaw
I love the program's versatility and capacity (including backward compatibility), and my only complaint is that is seems very tricky to change the default font and I can't find how to permanently alter it in the instructional videos.

For changing the default setting for the font, you can do this in Default Settings, under the Utility menu.

A planning tool for all
This is a fantastic program that I have used various versions of over the years. Can't fault it in terms of functionality and I recommend it to and encourage most of my learners to use it for planning work. My only query is the resolution quality of the graphics - lower than I would expect.

Upgraded to Version 11 of Inspiration…
Upgraded to Version 11 of Inspiration from VER 9. I use the outline capabilities all the time in my business. Charting helps me communicate with our team. I really like the business model Inspiration uses; purchase a license for one payment without ongoing, continuing fees. That's the way it used to be.

Also I feel scammed.
V.11 works no better for me than v.10. Felt coerced to buy v.11 when I couldn’t get v10 to open on my replacement lap top and was told v.10 was no longer supported.

Hi Jeffry thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear you feel the new features of Inspiration 11 are not what you are looking for.
If you import images into custom symbol libraries, this atomically processes and resizes them to be used as symbols. Have you tried this?
Otherwise whilst Inspiration 10 is no longer supported with technical updates, it is still fully supported from a customer service perspective, such as reinstallations and issuing of replacement licenses. Your licence is a perpetual licence and doesn't expire.
If you don't want to move to Inspiration 11, we can refund and deactivate it. You can then continue to use Inspiration 10. We will drop you an email directly if you want to do this.

As a teacher I found Inspiration raised achievement for all pupils at all levels. In our visual internet world it is even more important. Whilst often aimed at Neuro diverse don’t under estimate it for all learners. Version 11 has even more time saving options.

Could Be Improved a Bit
It's good that the outline and diagram are linked. It would be nice if it could also be integrated with mind maps. It would also be helpful to have a feature to change the size of shapes in bulk.

As to the integration of the Map View with the Outline View, this feature is available. In the main toolbar. the first button icon is the Outline View. Click on this. It should then switch to the Outline View.
As to your second suggestion, this is in the backlog for future consideration. However there is a work around by using custom symbol libraries.

Tree + outline: why not BOTH instead of Either/Or?
+: Updating of symbols
-: I have been using Inspiration for 15 years. One functionality of diagram mode has always vexed me. I can choose to auto arrange the TREE display of symbols OR I can choose to arrange the ORDER of symbols in outline mode. But there is no option to do BOTH concurrently. So when I reorder entries, I have to clean up the diagram twice: 1st to auto arrange symbols in terms of term the tree structure. And a 2nd time to arrange in outline order. WHY NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO DO BOTH when selecting the TREE MODE of arranging symbols?

With version 10 and 11 you should be able to achieve this, via two methods. One is to auto sort your outline based on your diagram and the other is to auto sort your Tree arrangement, based on your outline.
For the 1st scenario, if you would like to auto sort your outline, based on your arrangement in your diagram, you can use the Sync tool in the main tool bar. This can be done at anytime and this feature is available in the Diagram, Map and Outline View. It is a one click action.
Otherwise, if you would like to arrange your Tree diagram, based on your outline, under the Arrange tool, click more. Then choose the Arrange in Outline Order.
