Disappointing Experience Despite Quality Craftsmanship the final result of our new…

While the final result of our new en-suite is visually impressive, the experience with Inspired Vision was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

The Positives:
It is only fair to start by saying that the actual fitting of the bathroom is of a high standard. The team on the ground clearly possesses technical skill, and the finished product looks great. The workmanship itself is the one area where we cannot fault the company.

The Issues:
Unfortunately, the project was marred by significant management and communication failures from the off.

Financial Discrepancies: We were provided with an initial verbal quote that was later increased by £1,800 in writing. We were told this was due to a miscommunication in the original estimate. There was absolutely no apology for this massive error; instead, there was an expectation that we would simply accept the new price without question.

Poor Project Management: The communication with the company owners was consistently poor throughout the duration of the build.

Logistical Failures: We faced issues with scheduling. Materials arrived later than expected and the fitters earlier than expected.

Lack of Coordination: It was clear that the office management was not relaying information effectively, as the labourers who arrived on-site were unaware of major agreed-upon parts of the build ie underfloor heating and a radiator. Luckily I ran through what I was expecting before they started work.
We also had the packaging from the materials sitting outside our house for 10 days. I had to phone yet again to arrange collection.

Snagging: Even at the final stage, the attention to detail was lacking. The under-sink unit arrived missing a handle. While they eventually sourced the part and brought it round it didn’t fit properly so wasn’t fitted. We would still be missing a handle on that unit 2 months after the installation was “finished” if I hadn’t attached it myself!
We’ve heard nothing now for weeks. As far as Inspired Vision know I still have a handle waiting to be put on, but because they’ve been paid in full I doubt they care.
There’s never been an apology or suggestion of compensation for the inconveniences and mistakes made.

Verdict
While the fitting team is talented, the company’s internal organization and approach to customer service are severely lacking. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. It is unfortunate that such good workmanship is overshadowed by a complete lack of professionalism in project management.
