Ordering flowers for my mother with cancer on her birthday..

Trying to order flowers for my mothers birthday who has Cancer and is 1800 miles away. Was suppose to be delivered at 7:00-9:00am and here we are at 2pm on the third different order because they can't get there s**t together. Called customer service with no help. Called again and again, got a manager who hung up on me. Worst company and service ever!!

You know what company really sucks

You know what company really sucks? Instacart. Especially a supervisor named Ryan, who disconnected me in a chat when I was typing a reply.

Heres' the story. I ordered online from ALDI, which we frequent quite a lot- to the tune of $157. I have instructions on how to find the house cos we are on a private road, can be confusing. So once the shopper from Instacart TINA finished shopping - I had approved refunds for things they did not have - I turned the phone off cos I do not live & die by a cell phone like so many do.

Next thing I get is a message saying the order has been canceled. Canceled?? We're waiting here for the order to arrive. Long story short this dope was on my block - there are only 4 houses on this block and the address is in RED on the front of my house. She said she could not find the house. She did not even TRY. No doorbells, nothing. She just leaves and cancels the order.

As if that wasn't bad enough, I won't get my money back for like 10 days. Winners of the WORST customer service on EARTH, Instacart blames my bank but the bank said there is no refund from them, they have a hold on your money. I go on a chat with them, eventually Ryan gets on claiming to be a supervisor, after saying pretty much too effin bad, he leaves the chat.

Between Aldi (the Queensbury NY store has turned into a dump) & Instacart, all I got out of it was oh soooorrrrreeeee. Aldi has their stuff back, Instacart has my money and their stupid employee who was standing outside my house but couldn't see it, and all I got was being out $157.

Moral of the story? DON'T use Instacart, get off your butt & go get your own crap.

Report Instacart to the FTC

After numerous shoppers delivered hot and mushy frozen goods, smashed items and substitutions although I always specified NO substitutions, Instacart claimed the “accident” deleted all history of our orders. We deleted our empty app after they assured us they no longer had access to our corporate or personal our credit cards. Thereafter - we have had to fight Instacart via our card companies because even though our card numbers changed, and they claimed they no longer had access to any of our cards, Instacart kept renewing the same old deleted history account on each card ever used in the past WITHOUT our Consent and our revoking consent on the renewal card. The company is cortupt from within. Do not do business with them and please report their fraud to the FTC.

AS A SHOPPER

AS A SHOPPER! its better for you to get your own groceries! Call an uber and get it yourself, you are paying $$ in fees and mark ups, no guarantees to get your order. If a shopper misplaces your order, instacart will do their best to not refund. You are required to tip, no tip means the order will sit or be paired with another customer who tipped, people know and remember your address if you do not tip. Some shoppers are revengeful. They will damage your property or make reports against you if you tip or tip bait. In the long run, its better to get your own groceries, Instacart is not a fair company and they are just stealing from everyone.

I’m an Instacart shopper, the rating system is completely unfair, customer service doesn’t give a crap about anybody and are totally useless. does not matter how well I do certain customers will always bring your score down and make me take days off at a time or do very few orders and affect my mental health because I’m being judged on every little detail by people that have emotional and mental issues, their selves

Over charging their customers

I’m really frustrated with my recent Instacart experience and think people should be aware of how their pricing actually works.

I ordered a bag of cauliflower from Kroger through Instacart and was charged $6.99. When my order arrived, the actual price on the item was marked down to $2.70. Naturally, I reached out to customer service expecting a refund for the difference — and was told that Instacart “estimates” prices and does not adjust for in-store markdowns, per their policy.

That doesn’t sit right with me. If a shopper is physically in the store and scans the item at a lower price, customers should be charged what the item actually costs at that time — not a higher estimated price. It feels misleading to advertise one thing and knowingly charge more, especially when the real price is clearly visible at pickup.

Customers shouldn’t have to overpay just because Instacart doesn’t update their pricing. At the very least, this should be made much more transparent upfront. I won’t be using Instacart again if this is how they choose to handle pricing discrepancies.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT

HORRIBLE PRODUCT. Placed orders and spent money on my behalf without permission, not giving refunds for items I didn’t order, shopper doesn’t reply, terrible app design and dark patterns where items you don’t want get added to your cart. Just terrible all around. App breaks and you can’t remove items while shopping is happening. Will be telling everyone I know never to order Instacart again. I hope the business dies.

I was charged for an annual…

I was charged for an annual subscription at the end of March without noticing it. Once I realized, I contacted support to cancel and request a refund, but they refused. The agent said refunds are only allowed within 5 days of the charge, which feels very rigid and unfriendly. Many other grocery delivery services offer much more flexibility. It’s disappointing to deal with such an inflexible policy from an otherwise useful service.

Never, never, never use this company

I bought over $800 worth of office supplies from Staples through Instacart the printer stopped working and the monitor they shopper brought me was an open box item with missing pieces, I tried to bring it back to the store the store wouldn't accept the digital receipt, that they required the original receipt by the shopper, Instacart then sent me a receipt that had nothing to do with my account or my order, waiting hours to no avail being told it would be "elevated" to a customer service specialist with a call back in 24 hours. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK, four days later still trying to get this problem solved. DO NOT TRUST this company with your money.

Do not use Instacart

Do not use Instacart. The Driver fraud Ted my credit card which Instacart admitted the driver had done. The driver charged gift cards on my credit card. DONOTUSE. Run from Instacart and their customer service and support is terrible.

Ridiculous fees


Every time I order from this app, I hope for a better experience than the last, but it’s not happening. I have to pay almost $20 for a reasonable delivery time, and it still takes forever. I only use this app because I can’t always go to the grocery store alone, but the fees are ridiculous. I usually try to shop at no-markup stores, but the prices are still high. Many times, shoppers will refund items I know are in stock because the app says they are. It’s very annoying. Last month, I had a concussion and couldn’t leave the house. The delivery driver gave me the opposite of what I ordered and missed several items I needed for dinner.

The Instacart are crooked; they steal the positive part of our shopping from us consumers by buying huge quantities of some most popular products, like 85% Cocoa Roth Moser Dark Chocolate, sold in Aldi stores, and selling it online at a higher price ($3.19 in-store vs. $3.65 by Instacart) , adding fees, delivery charge, tips, etc.), so we can never find this chocolate in Aldi store.

If you don’t pay for the membership and choose to be delivered later for $1.99…. Your order will be moved and moved until they decide to delivery next day and if you complain with costumer service they will give $5 for next order… what a joke.

instacart deactivated my friends…

instacart deactivated my friends account because people were saying that her vehicle smelled like cigarettes when she has never smoked, is a cancer patient on oxygen & disliked smoke to.th3 fullest. They went off lies & no proof so I would not recommend anyone to Instacart. My vehicle smells like smoke sometimes and I don't even smoke but have people come to my vehicle smoking and it can sit in your fabric in your car. Instacart was the only income that mother of 4 had due to her not being able to work due to her cancer and Instacart left her and her family homeless until I took them in. It just wasn't right at all but people do instacart with their kids and they don't get deactivated. It's really sad how but while customers can lie and make families lose it all and Instacart just gets rid of them because they don't truly care about anyone as long as they get their money

Very bad experience with the corporate…

Very bad experience with the corporate office the manager and supervise. They deactivate my account for asking question about over charge, so they deactivated my account and to re-activate it they keep asking for copy of my Visa card and my driver license. This company is going under very bad customer service completely. They need definite overhaul from the inside of the company.
