Good hotel, but 2 courses would have been enough for dinner. Some problems with organisation of holiday. Walk guide was excellent and very helpful, but he had not been fully briefed.

The holiday was excellent - good hotel and three enjoyable walks with helpful birdwatching guides. The hotel is comfortable and in a great location near Tavira. We swam every day in the hotel pool and enjoyed drinks in the outside bar area.

We have taken many walking holidays of this sort over the years, with Waymark, Headwater, Ramblers, HF and Preferred Travel and in France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Malta and Italy so we know pretty well what to expect and what not to expect. The holiday suited us well, departure available on dates that suited us, at a price that was reasonable, with flights at reasonable times and from our local Airport plus staying at a beautiful spot on the Algarve coast with a short transfer time from Faro and in a hotel right on a lovely beach that offered good facilities. We were very lucky with the weather: warm sunshine, blue skies and warm refreshing sea breezes and, being just before the summer season starts, tourist spots we visited were well staffed but not overcrowded. But what made this walking holiday really stand out from all the others - no exceptions - was the contribution made to its success by the local Portuguese guide Joao. He welcomed us at the Airport and from then on look after, entertained, educated and enlightened us about our holiday, the walks, the flora and fauna, the facilities on offer as well as providing a geographical and historical context which made this holiday a real delight and one of the best of its kind that we have taken. If you get the chance to take a holiday with this guide - seize it!!

Excellent walking guides, very knowledgeable. Chris and Pepe were very considerate to the group's needs . The additional walk I would include in the holiday as I thought this was the outstanding walk of the week. Great hotel with wonderful facilities. Lovely rooms, all with balconies. We loved the spa and the swimming pools. The food was excellent - lots of choice at every meal to suit every palate. The local guides were friendly and knowledgeable and each of the 3 walks took us to beautiful places. I was in a party of 5 and we all thought the holiday was exceptional value for money.

Wonderful holiday,walks and scenery spectacular. It was made all the more enjoyable by a great group of people and our excellent guide Jose. His knowledge of the area and leadership skills were outstanding and he was always extremely helpful and courteous. I was accompanied by my wife and another member of our walking club and we all agreed that this was one of the best walking holidays we have been on so far. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Diamante Beach Hotel where the staff,in particular, those on reception were very helpful. Many thanks to Involved Holidays for a trip which has provided us with some great memories.

Jose, our guide, was brilliant in everyway. We have walked with this company and its predecessor six times. I don't normally do reviews but am making an exception. When all the transport, hotel etc are taken into account, good value, good company, what's not to like. From a Yorkshire man.

We had a wonderful walking holiday in Tarbena, Spain. The Casa Perles is a lovely place to stay in an authentic Spanish village. Erik’s walks were very good and allowed you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountainous countryside. Erik and Esperanza made us so welcome and it was lovely to feel so at home in a hotel. The local bars and food were also a great place to eat. We plan to do more Involved holidays!

We have undertaken several Preferred Travel/Involved Travel holidays.
Our guide in Menorca, Xavier, was the best we have ever had on any of these holidays.
He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, empathetic, sensitive and determined to ensure
that everyone had a great time and experienced the best of Minorca. He adapted the
walks to ensure we enjoyed our walks to the full. A first rate guide!
The hotel could have been even better if they had provided satisfactory seating arrangements in the dining room which facilitated the group ethos. They did this in part once it was requested. It would also have been helpful to have tea/coffee making facilities in our bedroom and to have been offered tea/coffee as part of our main meal."

Can’t fault this holiday in any way. First time away on my own and a little apprehensive. No need to worry at all. I was met at Faro airport and taken to hotel. Room better than expected and everything anyone could require. Everyone sat together for meals which was another worry I had. Food was buffet style which I am not a fan of but plenty of choice. Walks were harder than expected which could be down to the heat but felt pleased with my self that I did them. Only thing I didn’t like was not a lot to do in the evening but I suppose your expected to be worn out. Already looking to book again

The walking holiday to the Algarve was excellent. It was a pleasure to speak with Steve West MD of the company to arrange this holiday which was from my local airport, and so convenient. Steve booked the seats and sent the check in information ready to go. Everything from start to finish was professional and trouble free.
The holiday was based at a 4 star hotel, met at the airport and transferred in a minibus - no hassle. Expert local and knowledgeable walking guide who ensured the group was safe and enjoyed the experience. Also met and enjoyed the company of like minded people.
I would not hesitate to recommend Involved Holidays- a truly professional and knowledgeable holiday company with the personal touch.

Excellent walking holiday. Juan the guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Trh Mijas is a nice hotel and has great views of the Sierra and sea.

First class, individualized service, and accordingly very amenable to helping sort out any problems and requests. Involved's staff in the hotel and also on the walks were also brilliant.

Just returned from an Involved holiday in Mallorca.
Hotel Bella Playa and Spa was excellent. Good location, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 20 minutes to the harbour and town.
Excellent range and quality of food, clean modern accommodation, good range of pools and facilities (we even played on the free crazy golf one evening!).
Organised transfers were efficient and punctual.
Highlight was Cala Agulla, fantastic beach for swimming, snorkelling or just paddling.
Note, one day the waves did get up and people were surfing however the lifeguards monitored an area of beach for swimming.
Highly recommend a great holiday.
