I have only ever experienced great customer service from the staff in the Edinburgh St James store! I receive so many compliments on my frames and the pricing is super reasonable.
I now have sunglasses and prescription frames and I will be a returning customer!
I also want to add that, even though I went into the shop 5 minutes before closing, my query was dealt with happily and at no point was I rushed or felt unwelcome!

I'm really pleased with my new prescription sunglasses from IOLLA. They're stylish and I'm happy with the finished product.

The main area I think could be improved is communication around prescription order times. I received confirmation on 13th July that the workshop had confirmed all of my prescription details, and then received the email saying my glasses were ready for collection on 27th July.

IOLLA quote 6 to 12 working days, so my glasses were completed within the timeframe advertised. However, it is quite a wide window and, rightly or wrongly, I suspect many customers will naturally view the later end of that range as more of a worst-case scenario rather than the likely turnaround.

I'd ordered the sunglasses hoping to have them for a holiday starting on 24th July, but unfortunately they weren't ready before I left. I therefore collected them on 7th August after returning from holiday. The member of staff who served me was friendly, and I reiterated my disappointment that the order had taken towards the latter end of the quoted timeframe and meant I hadn't been able to take them away with me.

I think a simple addition to the in-store ordering experience could make a real difference, particularly when someone is ordering prescription sunglasses. There's a good chance they may be buying them for a holiday or another specific occasion, so asking something as simple as, "Are you ordering these for a particular occasion or date?" would give staff the opportunity to manage expectations and provide a better indication of current processing times within that 6 to 12 working day window.

A few progress updates during the manufacturing process would also be helpful, particularly when an order is likely to be towards the later end of the estimated timeframe.

Overall, I'm very happy with the glasses themselves and would happily use IOLLA again. With a little more proactive communication around timescales, the overall experience could easily have been five stars.

I took my prescription in, selected from a great range of colorful designs, was attended to and fitted almost immediately by knowledgeable staff. They arrived in the post as stated and they fitted perfectly. Final point even although they were blue tinted, clip on sunglasses the price was more than a hundred pounds cheaper than my previous supplier without the extras 👍.

Easy selection process and advice on best suitable frame for varifocals regular update's with order and delivery .
Would have been nice maybe if some glass cleaner had been added in as a new customer
