I recently had a terrible cyber attack…
I recently had a terrible cyber attack on 3 of my websites. I use IONOS for hosting, thankful for that, but the attack was so bad that my sites were complete taken down by the attackers. I called IONOS and spoke with Joy and what joy she brought me, we worked together back to back with advise on what to do, and she also took time to help me get my sites back up and running and also what to do to help prevent this happening. I will ever be grateful to this IONOS representative. I want to do something special for her, but she was so gracious that she just took it as "it's my job".

Server/VPS lost out of nowhere and trustpilot full of fake reviews
This is the worst cloud provider for a Server/VPS, your account can vanish and just get deleted without any warning nor explanation, they also access your server at will without your consent, I had light legit activity on my VPS but the account got deleted out of nowhere. stay away from IONOS.

No possibility to approve paid options suscribed by users
The support of IONOS France is always very fast, though it is usually a different person who responds everytime, making it very confusing.
I would like to make a complaint for the following:
It is not the first time it happens, but this new system is abusive, borderline illegal:
one user gets a pop up for an IA option, she clicks on it by mistake, not knowing it is a paid option.
As an Adminitrator, not only I wasn't informed that users could suscribe to pay option, not only I am not asked to approve it, but the only possibility to cancel it is to cancel it after one year. This is clear abuse of pushing sales in an unethical way. I am conversing now for the 6th person and the problem is still not solved. SHAMEFUL.

I was unable to contact you on your customer account phone number, as our system does not allow this.
To prevent the subscription of IA options, you must deactivate the option in the Email section of your customer area, as you did for the Email Pro option.
At the bottom of the page with all your emails, the link is called “Gérer les droits d’accès Webmail”.
Please contact us on trustpilot@ionos.fr with your IONOS contact email, in order to confirm your will to delete this IA option.
I'll cancel it immediately and give you a refund as an act of goodwill if you ask me to do so during the first month of activation.
