I might have a solution on how to make I ready a little better

So, here's the point. IReady is pretty boring, disengaging, and reading specifically is really easy, but I might have have a solution. My idea for making this app more fun is that maybe you can introduce a new character every once in a while. And by that I mean characters like Plory and Yoop (and Snarg too). Not just background characters like the ones you get in 3rd grade. As for my idea to make iready more engaging, maybe you could let the user choose what they want to read. It is proven that by choosing what you want to learn, it makes you more engaged to learn about it. Finally, for the problem with reading, maybe you could add lessons with more difficult topics like taxonomy. You could also add some lessons where the user could learn to write their own short stories. Thanks for reading :)

iReady SUCKS

When I was in 4TH GRADE we had to do 80 minutes of iReady each week combing reading and math and I felt like...worse in a way. 4 weeks straight I did not get a lesson passed, the teacher had the audacity to email my mom and said that it was CONTINUALLY happening for a month. Ever since then my dad has lost all trust in me. He thought I was slacking and ignoring my homework even though I was trying. I despise this teacher to this day even though she was disliked by students. Thx for reading my review

Schools remove this website immediately

This sucks i get this as a BIG part of my grade for the lessons and time spent on it. My teachers HATE this website but they can’t do anything or else they’ll get in trouble and potentially get fired. Even the people that LOVE learning websites hate this one. All the smart students feel dumb and THE nicest most calm kid in our school started crying because the terrible diagnostic and dumb students guess and suddenly they are on a 8th grade level in 6th grade getting lessons that are too hard for them and if you fail a lesson you restart the lesson without ANY help. Did me they plan on making iready a replacement for the STAAR test. And then they have a shitty reward system for 5 math lessons and 10 reading lessons you can “leave class 2 minutes early” or a snack that I can get at the dollar general near my house IN A BIGGER SIZE. And then the only good ones are luck associated for a sonic drink or a 5 dollar McDonald’s meal. THE only one in my school (1/1000) which is the geek likes this shitty website.(Side note, I NEVER write this long of a essay if the website is SO bad that I write this long then it’s a REAL Problem)

I HATE this app with a burning passion.

Hello! I’m a middle-school student and I HATE this app. I would give this a 0 if I wanted to, but I can’t. To start off, the Language Arts side of it is WAYYY to easy for some people (like me) It basically teaches NOTHING. It gives me and other people in my class words that we “don’t know” or just has us in a lower level that we should be on. On the contrary, maybe on a HIGHER level than we are on. Take one of my classmates for example, sometimes, they come up to me and ask me if I know what a word means or what the problem is asking. Meaning that the lessons are on a level higher than what would be fit for them. On the other hand, what do you mean that THREE math questions is equal to 1/20 of progress. That makes the process WAY TOO DRAINING AND BORING. Making me procrastinate on finishing my math homework therefore giving me a C or less. Plus, this app teaches people NOTHING. I say this because of the AI being used in the process of answering these questions to make the lessons go faster. Plus, if you incorrectly answer the questions 3 times, it just does it for you. If only the lessons were shorter and EASIER to follow..👀 Now that I said that, I would like to complain about the lack of explanation on this app. This app basically explains NOTHING and just gives a question for you to try and answer. And as I said, after multiple unsuccessful attempts to solve it, it just does it for you. Overall, this app is wayy too easy or difficult on the language arts side, EXTREMELY difficult on the math side, and it overall teaches you NOTHING. Horrible app. I wish it never existed. Delete this. Why does it still exist and is being implemented in schools when it has such a low rating. I hate this.

IREADY SUCKS!!

I am a sixth-grade student, and I would like to share my concerns about i-Ready.

First, the program often does not show or clearly explain the correct answers during lessons or diagnostics. Because of this, it can feel difficult to truly learn from mistakes or understand what I did wrong.

Second, the diagnostic assessments can be frustrating. I consider myself a strong student, and I often try my best, but the program sometimes gives me questions that are at a much higher grade level, such as eighth grade. While I understand this is meant to challenge me, it can lead to spending a long time—sometimes up to ten minutes—on a single question.

In the past, this has also caused me to miss out on classroom activities. For example, when I was in fourth grade, I had to continue working on i-Ready while my classmates watched a movie because I was still completing higher-level questions. This made me feel discouraged, even though I was putting in effort.

I would appreciate any changes that could make i-Ready more supportive of student learning, such as clearer explanations of answers and more balanced timing expectations so students are not penalized for working through challenging material.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

DON’T USE THIS SITE

I’m am a sixth grader now and my school still uses this god awful site. When I was in fifth grade I had to do my lesson or whatever. Not even half way through I already slammed my Chromebook shut and went under the table. Head down on the floor thinking. I thought I was stupid or not good enough. Now in sixth grade when I had to use this excuse of a site. I only got pass one question slapped my Chromebook shut and put my head down. My teacher took me out in the hallway and said we don’t act like my 3 year old son and that I’m in middle school I need to grow up. This site is demoralising please DON’T USE IT!

MUST BE DEMOLISHED FOR GOOD

Hello reader, hear this from a 10th grader who barely made it out of middle school without going insane. IReady is and forever will be pure torture and pain to any student who ever lays their mind on those lessons. First off, the math lessons are extremely long, sometimes taking over 1-2 hours. And even if you make it past the instruction part, you will perish in the quiz section. I remember being in 7th grade and getting like 2 questions wrong on the quiz and then having to repeat the whole thing. And the worst part is: you dont learn what you did wrong and the characters make annoying cheesy jokes often. Reading also has a problem. Whenever you get something wrong, they make it a big deal and yet still dont tell you what you did wrong. The lessons are also incredibly boring, sometimes i’d fall asleep and think i completed it when i woke up. Whenever i did fail a lesson and had to redo it, i cried for my life because my teacher expected 5 lessons passed by everyone per week. Sometimes it got so bad, i would let myself get an F in the I-Ready grade for the week rather than wasting precious time for my one and only life. When i was on my last year of middle school and i found out i tested out of iready, i was jumping up and down like never before, i felt like flipping and throwing a fricking table in the air. Now as an older brother, it breaks my heart to see my little sister currently go through the same thing i once had to go through. This program is trash and must be demolished.

Iready sucks so bad

Litteraly it’s way worse than Lexia. Also my little sister likes iready, even though it’s very boring and more repetitive than steal a brainrot and dandys world gameplay combined. The activities at our school computer lab had the big bad Lexia, I ready, and ixl.

Why I-Ready is pretty dang mediocre

So, I-ready is pretty dang bad. I remember, last year, when my teacher had to give us two of these and it's such BS. If you get one question wrong, it doesn't explain it and takes 20 POINTS OFF for one mistake. It heavily hurts and if you get two wrong, have fun wasting 30 minutes doing it again.
