Someone needs to take action
My family and I planned a trip to Ireland but were extremely disappointed with the visa process at the Irish Embassy in Portugal. Despite being Portuguese resident, my Colombian wife needed a visa. The embassy required a huge amount of paperwork, including bank statements and a detailed itinerary. They said it would take 12 weeks, and after three weeks of no updates, we had to cancel our trip and lost 2,000 euros on reservations. The embassy’s handling was rude, and it seems they are indifferent to the inconvenience caused. Someone needs to take action to improve this process, as it is a significant barrier for travelers
