Shocking!! After paying £1000 you get nothing. It takes longer to position it on charging pot than clean. It does not clean, takes ages, hoes pver and over the clean spot, leaving dirty spot dirty. Brava does not spray, we sent it back to repair, and it came back the same no spraying water. Its clearly a scam
Whilst living in the US I spent $1500 on an S9+ irobot and it worked very well in our New York apartment. 9 month after the purchase we had to move back to the UK and a lot of our US appliances would not work on UK voltage. Amazing when we contacted Dyson they confirm our appliance would not work so sent a UK version the next day and exchanged our unit completely free of charge…AMAZING.
Irobot however we’re much less helpful, I was told that I could not purchase a UK base station in the UK and I should either buy a complete new unit or check EBAY to find a second hand charge, or try and sell my US machine, all of which would have cost me over £400. The “can’t help, don’t care” approach to customer was just shocking for such a great product. In the end I spent £500 on a second hand base station as it was cheaper than throwing away my investment, but this is honestly the worst customer experience of all of the suppliers I contacted. Love the product, hate the service, just shocking
Realised I haven't reviewed my iRobot product before now when a reminder came up on my phone as to how long we have had it.
We have an iRobot 700 series for 7 years now and it is still going strong! Changed the brushes and heads a couple of times but despite not doing it as regularly as recommended it still works really well, as it did when new.
Just ordered the handheld accompaniment so fingers crossed that has the same lifespan!
Great product awful customer service.
Tried to be accessories for our iRobot and the website wouldn’t let me. Spoke to customer services and after a long delay in getting a response they want screenshots and lots of information. I understand that they want to find out what’s going wrong but i still don’t have a way to buy accessories to keep my iRobot working. Absolutely useless
Purchased i7 a few years ago. Worked well for approx 2 mths. Then began a long exhausting series of issues, wouldn’t charge on base station then wouldn’t dock on base station. Base station was replaced. Error after error requiring manual intervention on a standard cleaning run which totally defeats the purpose of the robot if you have to attend to it each time. All issues were reported to IRobot, customer service non existent and extremely unhelpful. Very expensive to run and maintain, replacement filters, brushes & side brushes. Side brushes have left irreparable scuff marks on my newly fitted £30k kitchen plinths and have scuffed all other skirting boards which now need re painting. The robot has docking issues again and I now have error message 5 which is a replacement battery at £59!! Would not recommend at least until these basic issues are resolved. Not fit for purpose.
Scammers beware, 5 years warranty I taken when it faulty they refused to repair or replace, Keep calling pc world and rumba still not solved problems
Useless after a year and a half it cant do a simple job of parking it self on to charging pad not to mention hoover the house without getting message that it needs help emptying it self as it cant park on its pad to empty the been or charge battery always 20mm to one side
This is my worst purchase whatsoever!!!
Please bear in mind that there if anything goes wrong with your hoover nobody cares.
I am not only one person with the same issue. Please read their reviews with customer care and how they deal with it once something goes wrong. There are plenty of stories similar to mine over the Internet. Please do your research before you get stuck like I did .
Since I purchased mine, soon after that lots of faults came up.
I spend multiple hours, countless complaints to irobot. All they do is to ask me to provide pictures and than make excuses.
My hoover developed multiple issues from software to hardware. Soon after one month of use I had such trouble with it that I use to call everyday to their customer care just to be told that they will start investigation. Their staff members Alex and Boris use to listen to me almost begging for assistance. But no luck.
It went beyond limits of my patience.
After spending £799 on hoover I was unable to use .
I was exhausted of complaining but they all just seems to delay and even with all the evidence that the hoover isn't working they seemed to ignore and reply that cannot do anything about it. I was shocked that didn't respect any warranty or right as customer that I should have.
I want to take this matter to court as they are breaching any right of sales of good act. I do have all the evidence and correspondence.
Hoover till today get stuck, bangs the walls, scratch floor as one of the screw came loose, is unable to empty into dust station. Lots and lots... that's not something that that you would expect from such well known company. Please don't repeat my mistake.
Initially my IRobot brava jet was a godsend, vacuuming and mopping whilst I was at work. However, it is now 4 months old and is literally falling apart! The poor quality plastic lid and hinges have cracked, the charge connector was not able to withstand the robot going back on and have sunk. The final straw was , when I turned the robot over to clean it the lid of the control panel just fell off! Bad quality product that struggles to mop a large kitchen floor. Customer services are refusing a refund! Don't waste your money!
Nothing more than scammers. Sent my hoover for a repair 2 months ago (it broke after only 5 months) and it's still not back! Customer service is clueless and doesn't know why or when. My hoover and money is gone and they don't care!
Never trust this brand!!!!!
Honestly if I could I would give ZERO stars! This is ridiculous that I have been told that they will repair my robot within 10 days - I have sent it on 24th May 2022 and still waiting for it to be repaired? Or they lost it! I have read previous feedback and seems like I’m not alone in this island! Guys please do not waste your time and claim your money back. Please contact the ombudsman! And ask for the advice!
I bought an irobot s9+ when living in the US. I thought it was great there, though it has a few niggles such as putting random non-existent rooms on the map. It is also expensive to maintain with new filters and bin bags.
The real problem is that I unexpectedly returned to the UK. I plugged both the s9 and the brava jet in and they both worked without a transformer! Great! However, the clean base won't empty automatically anymore. I have spent ages on customer service and finally thought I would agree to a paid repair (the warranty apparently doesn't work across countries), but then I got an email telling me "tough - contact the US".
So, I second the view that the UK charges way too much compared to the US and also that customer service is lacking.
I bought the i7 vacuum robot and it was amazing so figures I'd buy the m6 mop to go with it. The M6 is a resonable product but no where near as good as its hyped to be.
My bigest issue is they seem to be taking the UK and Europe for fools! I though it bizarre I couldn't access the US version of the site which has a load of reviews. A friend with a vpn showed me and then it became obvious why. A robot sold for £700 in UK retails for just over £300 their!!!!
So to summarise, good product, not great but buy from an importer who will sell you a us model for about 400!!!
We wanted a robot for our office, we have an office in USA that sent us a new irobot from there, when it arrived we connected the wrong supply unit, contacted iRobot, they said fixing the power supply issue would be more than buying a new £1000 robot, which was nonsense.
We then purchased two iRobot’s for our office through their Amazon shop (the £1000 ones), but upon further research we decided to return the items. iRobot has still not give us a refund even though the items were returned several weeks ago. We then took our USA iRobot to a local repair com-any, they repaired it for £50 and the guy shook his head when we told them what iRobot had said. Avoid this company as customer service does not exist and their support is giving our false information regarding the repair of their products which is against eu regs. First time on Amazon I’ve had a problem with a refund with a product like this, we won’t consider buying iRobot products again.
Few bad reviews on here, I've not bought directly from them but I have a Roomba and a Brava jet, can't fault them
Appalling selling platform on their irobot.ie site. You literally CANNOT purchase their products. Credit/debit cards can't be used as the website is not set up for psd2 transactions. When I contacted customer service, I was told to use the PayPal facility which would be great if they actually had a PayPal facility on the website!! They obviously don't need your custom. AVOID!
Extremely poor customer service. Poor build quality. Unreliable. Watch out for the infamous 'Error 26', which means new cleaning head needed, good luck getting that sorted! Waste of money
Bought an I7 robot with Clean Base dock. The robot cannot cope with pet hair even on hard floors. Dust clearance is average and doesn’t deal well with changes in surface heights. The Clean Base fails to even attempt to empty it, and iRobot support appears to be non-existent. Have raised calls in app and no response. 90%+ of my jobs fail, have to empty bin manually - don’t waste your money…very disappointed with the product and company.
I had a new Roomba combo delivered on 1 December. Apparently a UK cord needed to be placed on backorder. Its now 19th January and I'm still waiting. Customer service are terrible! I've been lied to about parts shipping from Poland, been given no case number to track and get stock "I'll check this for you and get back to you" responses when I contact through email or twitter. But nobody ever does except to say the same again!! The phone is a waste of time, I'm sitting on hold for almost 30 minutes even though my initial wait time was estimated at 2! They keep pushing the increments up by 5 minutes every time. If I can't get any response I'll have no option but to raise a section 75 claim with my credit card company due to being sold a product that is unfit for purpose. My second Roomba purchase will be my last! Buyer beware!!
This iRobot series 7 has some issues which for the amount we paid is shocking. I have always bought the iRobot and we like to keep updating as I once thought they were fantastic. I am disabled so this is a little lifeline to keep our home clean. Today I started the iRobot, which we called Seymour, and heard a loud noise like clunking noise. Husband right away stopped Seymour to find that the lever to hold the brushes in had somehow either came loose or snapped at it’s base! Other then always telling us the bin is full , which we know it’s not , this has been ever better then Dusty our old iRobot. We still have a warranty on Seymour so we have our fingers crossed that iRobot will take care of its loyal customers.
