new bathroom

we have just had a complete new bathroom renewed with bath taken out and replaced with a lovely big shower . Downstairs toilet room all replaced by J2 tiling & bathrooms.They have been amazing from start to finish,everyone has been very professional,helpful and very nice.I would highly recommend them.

Well what can I say about J2 tiles?

Well what can I say about J2 tiles?! My business partner and I have been using J2 tiles regularly for the last few years and I can honestly say I haven’t ever encountered a more helpful, honest and approachable company in my many years of working in the tiling industry. Their eagerness to please both subcontractors and customers alike is nothing short of admirable. I know when I am working along side J2 that jobs will run smoothly and someone is always on hand to help out. When problems occur on any job (which they inevitably do in any area of the construction industry) John and jack are always on hand to help and will stop at nothing to ensure the end result meets the customers expectations. I couldn’t believe (and don’t believe) what I was reading in the negative 1 star review. Seems to me that they must have got J2 mixed up with a completely different company.

I highly recommend J2 tiles to anyone and everyone. I am confident that you will only have a positive experience and you too will see the 1 star review for what it really is...nonsense.

Outstanding Service

These guys are the best! From the minute we walked through the door into the showroom they were fantastic. Listen to what we wanted, gave ideas, suggestions, recommendations and not only that, fantastic prices. Outstanding service from a local family business. We won’t ever go anywhere else 😊

Commercial Tiling

J2 tiles have supplied all of the tiling in our offices to a very high standard, they were very efficient and were very accomodating under a tight schedule. I look forward to working with them again

How many mistakes can one company make.

How many mistakes can one company make.
First the director failed to allow for a exposed waste.
The waste pipe was pointed out to him.
So we had to forfeit the toilet in this room.
Our paid for silent fan was not fitted.
A basic fan was fitted.
The electrician was unable to change before decorator
Our decorator had already been put of as the director made an error over our fitting date.
The unit arrived in wrong colour with chips through to the metal.
Again director ordered wrong colour.
The wrong shower was fitted.
Director said he upgraded as one we ordered was out of stock albeit his son said “” dad felt bad over waste error so Upgraded as a gesture.”
Therefore one of them is a tad mistaken !!!
The plumber was unable to measure Properly ( been told he has Covid related stress issues)

and he put pipes in wrong place, so first radiator did not fit.
He went to screwfix and purchased a nasty very cheap radiator and walked back into my home via back door as my new kitchen was being installed.
I had no idea.
He then fitted said screwfix radiator which also did not fit and immediately leaked.
I had to get my own Plumber to remove at their request only for the director to say I no longer had proof (shocking attitude).
The plumber during his time at my house put the contents of old radiator directly down into my new shower.
He did not drain the system nor did he then fit valves I ordered.
First no thermostat on valves followed by mis matched valves.
My flooring that had been booked is now cancelled by them saying no tilers available.
However the director is still quoting and putting on Facebook slots before Christmas along with a mantra of “”what sets us apart from the competition our attention to detail.“
The director has been rude and offensive on a site inspection hung up on my husband and then when I tried to call would not take a breath to let me speak.
My shower door has nasty marks which they say is a manufacturer issue and asked me to contact them (however my payment and contract is with J2.
I have CCTV evidence photos and recorded phone calls to prove all I said.
When we asked for a different plumber the directors said “we are not going down that road our plumber is taking this further.
Well so are we.
All my room has from my original order is tiles tap and worktop.
Their mistakes now mean we have no downstairs flooring and cancelled cloakroom meaning we have to go up two flights of stairs for the toilet.
Not ideal with a 5 year old.
We had no reimbursement for plumbing works not carried out or for the wrong cheaper fan.
Our flooring money is still with J2.
They say they are fixing were the plumber had made holes in my wall and tiles so a competent plumber can fit a towel rail however I have no faith they will return.
They have £7395.81 of my money.
So please think about if you require a room of your choice or theirs.
Zero manners or politeness from the director.
During a visit to showroom before Nov lockdown the director did not comply with COVID GUIDANCE and wear a mask in his showroom.
Odd this company had no reviews until mine.
Then two good ones pop up within days.
I was right they did not return to make good.
Bank tried to recall my money, however the the director informed bank there were no issues and has e mailed to say he has reported me to the police.
He says I tried to block his bank.
I simply tried to recall money as the shower room is so far off plan and needs major repairs.
He said this will not end soon.
I was told he could not find a plumber willingly to work in my house.
However I managed to find 2 in one day to look at what needs doing.
Shower door needs to come off.
Several tiles need to come off.
Pipework needs placing correctly.
As stud wall some plaster board will need replacing.
Walls made good where there are holes from screwfix leaking radiator.
Purchase a new radiator.
Shower door needs new seal.
Having to remove to get to pipework could damage further tiles and door.
( unknown as yet if can be removed without further damage)
Bank advice is now to take civil action via a money claim.
The director tells me he is shocked at my truthful review.
I am horrified at the lack of care and skill in measuring correctly, either for the toilet and waste or pipework.
None of which can or has been denied.
I see my review is called nonsense by another tiler.
Also suggests I muddled the company up with another.
Photos show all I have said as does CCTV.
So I politely suggest to this person my review is accurate and truthful and therefore not nonsense.
Ref J2 response.
The tiling has never once been an issue.
Hence the original review.
I stand by the fact Paul’s tiling was excellent and have never once said otherwise.
J2 know full well the issues are over plumbing works and the fact neither the plumber or J2 survey consisted of accurate measurements.
Case went to court.
I won.
They paid Judgement on last possible day.

'4 stars - Just had a shower room fitted. Paul who did the tiles worked with minimum disruption. He informed me of various ways to install the tiles. He was on time and left the house tidy each day. Paul is returning to tile our hallway cloakroom and kitchen. He sets himself a very high standard and we greatly appreciated this. Few minor issues to do with plumbing and electrics but they are being sorted.'

We are in the process of taking legal advice so cannot comment directly to your misleading/false allegations in this review.
