I reached out to Jason following some glowing reviews from club members and some really good posts on Jason’s Instagram account.
When we met he was considerate on when I last played, who that was for and my targets.
In that talk, we spoke about what my areas of focus were and he instantly knew what that led to and how he’s covered this previously and had the same trouble. This gave me some comfort.

The session was really well structured to ease me through what the though process was within Jason’s head and how I would see good results through careful thinking and hard work.

It was a great session and will be booking for future coaching.

I would thoroughly recommend Jason as a cricket coach. I first saw him before the 2014 season and he’s been my cricket coach ever since. When I began coaching with him, I was an enthusiastic but very inconsistent player, with technical limitations which prevented me from consistently scoring meaningful runs. Fast forward 8 years and my average since then is around 30 and I’ve scored more half centuries in that time than the rest of my 25 years of playing the game.

Every session has an objective and the incremental improvements have made a huge difference. Jason is not afraid to challenge you and can administer “tough love” when necessary, but is also very encouraging and generous with praise when he sees the improvements. His ability to “sling” different types of deliveries is great when practicing match scenarios in the net. Also, facing a quality leg spinner is great practice, albeit he gets me out a lot!

As per his mantra, the “train hard, play easy” approach means that when I go into a proper match, I feel I am really prepared and capable. I’m looking forward to many more sessions with him this summer and beyond. Thank you Jason!

Jason listened to what I wanted to achieve from the outset. His motto is train hard, play easy and I really subscribe to that. I’m in my 30s and work in an office most of the week but train as best as I can in my free time. Jason analysed my technique, identified possible improvements and helped me make realistic adjustments within those constraints. Since starting to work with Jason, I’ve averaged 28 batting and 17 with the ball across two seasons. He’s constantly thinking about the game too and is a great coach to not only talk about the technical side of the game but also about my mentality and tactics.

My son has been improving his cricket with Jason for the past couple of years. Jason is very reliable and has a great rapport with the kids. My son really enjoys his cricket coaching sessions and I would highly recommend.
