The worst

Terrible customer service. Janbox works fine as a proxy buying service until you have to contact support. Their customer support has been consistently rude, unprofessional, and even sarcastic. It’s a frustrating experience that completely overshadows the convenience they offer. Avoid at all costs.

A great proxy to find rare items

I really don't understand why Janbox has low star ratings on here. I personally think they are great! First time using them and was able to find multiple rare items that normally wouldn't pop up in search on other proxy sites.

Ordering from them went smoothly as well. They went above and beyond with packaging. Everything arrived safely, not a single scratch or damage on any of the items.

Some of you might not even know this, but Janbox also has an app. The app itself kind of works a bit better than the actual website.

They should be called ScamBox

They should be called ScamBox, they took my funds for a item, then complained that my item was too big, instructed me to pay an additional fee, which I did, and they have stopped all form of communication both whatsapp and email. Set of thieves, they give you the impression that they are helping, but if this is what Japan honour is! You be warned, would have given them - negative million stars

Janbox Best Customer Support Assistant, Lea !

This is my first time using JanBox, though I’m new and have doubts with betting and shipping. Lea, from customer support was very helpful, after successfully bidding, I gotten a notification for payment and shipping.

After paying, it said “waiting for purchase”, I was afraid that something went wrong but Lea assured me that it was alright and everything will be settle tomorrow!

As it was after hours, the logistic could only
purchase from the seller with the money they received during office hours. I have to mentation that Lea replied at 12:42am Japan time for this support enquirer no other platforms would reply at this timing this is such outstanding customer support from her.

After a successful purchase I had to pay for shipping, they offered protective packaging. I’ve asked Lea and she kindly provided the details that it’s extra protection for the purchase that wasn’t really require and I should instead just pay for shipping !

When paying for shipping, they include a photo of the product that is received. However, to decide whether I need extra protective packaging I tried my luck asking Lea, whether they can send me an image of the normal packing the seller provided. Once again, Lea went above and beyond, contacting the warehouse to send a photo of the normal packaging. After I gotten the photo, she helped bring comfort in the packaging and saving cost on extra protective packaging.

Lea, has been such a great customer support for Janbox, because of her I’ll definitely buy from Janbox again. Having the peace and comfort knowing it’s in the hands of people like Lea that truly care !

Highly Recommend

Highly Recommend. Very appreciate that!
I have some orders from Rakuten website which are really hard to hunt on time. Since the unique of the items, it can be sold out in a minute.
I chat to a supporter via Whatsapp and she supports my orders so quickly. Very appreciate that _()_ !
The only one thing that I am note very pleased is that Janbox doesn't work at night shift, it's quite difficult to reach out at midnight ( Japanese time).

Highly recommend!

I will definitely recommend these guys! I ordered windows deflectors that are not available in the USA for my car. I received my package in a week. Wow. Outstanding service!

Big surprise on transport cost once in stock

Once the item in their stock, weight of the item became crazy huge, creating a huge transport stock. Transport cost that you discover when too late and bigger than the price of the item. After fighting 1 week and showing them that a different and correct weight written on their description, they updated a price. Even if still double the max of any transporter I paid to finish with them.

Will not recommend

Will not recommend. Firstly on their website, not all my items are able to be consolidated together which is a shocker, which in the end i had to pay twice to ship my things over. Secondly, my item which i had already paid for in august have not even arrived. Contacting customer support and they told me to wait a lil longer.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. I actually paid almost twice the item price. They asked to pay for shipping in the middle of the transaction without giving an idea how much it is at the beginning and you end up having no choice but to pay up because you've already paid for the item else they will hold on to it.

Janbox used to be good, now they are as bad as Buyee

UPDATE 6/11/23 Janbox was awesome last year and I wrote a glowing review but wow things have changed. After this current transaction is complete, I will most like stop using them like I did with Buyee. Their shipping prices used to be reasonable and clear cut but not anymore. They have now made it impossible to know what your shipping fees will be until after they charge you and when I tell you their fees have tripled since last year. I no longer see any sort of package option and frankly it seems like they must be making up numbers and charging you what they want because they can get away with it. They do not even attempt to package orders in boxes that are efficient sizes without causing additional weight measurements thus making shipping fees astronomical. Don't even think about consolidating orders because you will most likely end up paying even more in fees.

Case in point, I ordered a body pillow that had been vacuumed sealed plus a tiny plush keychain and the gross weight was 2400g but they charged me to ship a 7500g package. The package weighed around 3 lbs when I got it and they used a much larger box than necessary. They charged me 15,000 some odd yen.

Well I ordered another pillow because they are collectors and I anticipated having to pay the same amount or a little less since I didn't have the tiny plush keychain that weight maybe an ounce last time and I just received notification that the shipping fee is 24,000 some odd yen. Yes they are charging me almost 200 dollars and charging me more for the pillow alone than they did for the pillow and a keychain last time. I spoke to customer service and they said they would contact the warehouse about using a smaller box to lower the price but I've heard nothing and they aren't even reading my inquiries about an update. I hope and I long for the day that this company along with Buyee both go down in a ball of flames.

Use Janbox, expect very bad customer service consistently

The customer service, especially by Lea, is very unresponsive, unhelpful, unreliable, slow, unclear- worst, downright, very rude and defensive without solving the problems which occurred! And inconsistent- their website showed they charged consolidation- see their flowchart and charges, yet Lea denied. Worst, Lea, as customer service, made it seem like the very basic and default service customers should get are not so! And lashed out at customers. Please see:

1. You wished to combine the orders, that was IMPOSSIBLE for any orders before but we STILL support to ask the seller, and the answer is NO, still.
Seller send out the item base on orders. And the way that seller send it out is OUT of our ability.
Your orders CANNOT be combine at the seller place - this is NORMAL and MUST thing, we CAN"T handle this.
BUT if you wish to consilidate your items at our warehouse, of course we do that, and that's for FREE!
2. Where are the domestic shipping that you are charged twice? SHOW ME me the order numbers and the payment history.
3. We have NEVER charged the consolidation fee ever before,

Janbox is unreliable, inconsistent and unprofessional

I have to post here because the publicly declared email addresses are fake. I reached out to EZBUY because Ezbuy is the parent company of Janbox after my attempts to resolve with JANBOX turned out shocking.

Address not found. Your message wasn't delivered to support ezbuy.jp because the address couldn't be found.

Address not found. Your message wasn't delivered to support ezbuy.com because the address couldn't be found.

May I lay out the tangible facts in the courts of public opinion:
Date: Mon, Sep 5, 2022 at 12:35 PM
Subject: To raise red flag to EZBUY over JANBOX (in particular, Lea customer service)
To: support ezbuy.com

To parent company EZBUY,

OBJECTIVES:

I am writing to

(1) express my shock at Lea customer service of your subsidiary Janbox.

(2) demonstrate how customers' trust and confidence are being eroded.

(3) lodge a complaint against Lea customer service.

(4) raise the red flag (especially when Janbox is new and there are negative reviews abound which I read but now personally experienced) to Janbox's parent company EZBUY INC re the following.

(5) tangentially, please be informed too that the email address you stated in your website support ezbuy.com (and now ezbuy.jp) does (do) not work with returned undeliverable receipt.

ISSUES:

I am shocked at the unreliability and inconsistency. It is not a matter of being stingy a 700yen. But of inconsistent and contradictory service standards, eroding confidence.
And being a first time user, testing out, I am really shaken.
I am further shocked by the informal and sarcastic tone of Lea customer service.

My customer experience is bad. The strength of a metal chain is not the strongest link, but that of the weakest link.

FACTS OF THE CASE:

I refer to your Lea customer service email reply to the ticket opened:
"...On Mon, 5 Sept 2022, 11:46 am Lea Janbox Customer Service, wrote:
Sorry, the Plan cannot be changed anymore this time. You gonna pay for this at the 2nd payment. Please check carefully before placing the order next time,...".

In response, and the rationale behind what I am writing:

According to Trea customer service, if it cannot be changed,

(1)
why then, did your earlier reply, from Trang customer service say otherwise?

"....On Mon, Sep 5, 2022 at 11:15 AM Trang Janbox Customer Service wrote: You can change the shipping methods at the second payment. Just wait until the item was sent to our warehouse.
And what plan service you want to change? please let me know before the order is sent to warehouse..."
(2)
why then, could ANOTHER order of mine, could have the plan changed?
I quite email:
"...On Mon, Aug 29 at 3:23 PM Trang Janbox Customer Service wrote:
Subject: Re: Re: Re: MER220827096:
..Your plan combo has been cancelled already. Anyfurther supports in need, do not hesitate to let us know...."

(3)
why then, in Janbox's website, it is stated in your website under first-time-user-196
Please see attached screencapture with parts highlighted:
image.png
You state:
The second charge is after the item arrives, but the item still has not arrived.

You wrote: "optional" and "(if occured)"

So, would you agree anyone faced with the facts of the above case would be shocked by Lea customer service and lose faith in Janbox?

(4)
I do not appreciate Lea customer service's tone,
viz.

- informal and unprofessional: "gonna".
I am not your friend, but your customer.

- sardonic tone: "You gonna pay for this at the 2nd payment.
This is insulting.

NOTE:
For your reference, I forward the thread of the emails below my email.
The order concerned is Order code MERxxxxx7098

IN CONCLUSION:

I am disturbed and concerned by Lea customer service which is so inconsistent from Trang customer service. Trang customer service has been very consistent and excellent, but not Lea.

I understand Janbox is new company set up in 2021. Despite being new, I tried your service even after reading about negative reviews from review sites, forums and online.
Now, I personally experience how inconsistent, adhoc, unreliable, and unprofessional customer service by Lea customer service.
To reiterate, this is not a matter of being stingy over 700yen.
But customer's trust and confidence being eroded.

Going forward for this order, is Lea customer service that desperate?

Out of respect, I am writing to you first to resolve between us within your channels, without being a keyboard warrior or online publicist or social media grandstander. (Now, I have noi choice but to try to reach out to you)

Is Lea customer service compelling me beyond conviction while casting much doubts so as to make the order concerned being the last- forgive me I am a new user.

As a footnote, I am appreciative of Trang customer service and compliment Trang customer service

Janbox Has a lot of Room for Improvement.

So, it's been a year since I've been using this proxy and let me say that throughout this entire experience, I've been getting disappointed with their service as time goes by. Below is my constructive criticism in hopes that their service gets better.

Pros
As I said in my older review, there are just so many features that are more convenient than other proxies. Their sniper bids are completely hidden and get embedded in the 6th minute so nobody knows you bid. Their website is also very convenient to use, but sometimes it's a little buggy and needs improvement. Unlike Zenmarket/Neokyo which makes you wait to purchase the item, you can purchase directly with the amount of Janbox points you have.

Cons
Now, why am I leaving Janbox? So, I've been using their service since last year and their service used to be just as good as Buyee's but as the review on top has said, the proxy has just been getting worse and worse.

The Janbox Team
As always, their customer service is wonderful and social but their team is very incompetent. Lea in particular is very nice but there are times when I ask her for a demand in a very kind form and her team doesn't do anything at all. I had to push them probably 5 or more times to do anything. Their team is by far very incompetent when it comes to doing demands. Sometimes I ask them to do something to save on shipping and they just don't do it at all. There was one time when one of my items cracked because the team didn't follow anything that I said to keep it intact.

The Lack of Shipping Options
THIS. This is what discouraged me from using their service the most. It is a fact that they are just implementing prices that would make their business more profitable instead of giving you the real numbers. So their proxy is just a literal scam. I shipped a couple of items a few times in the past using FedEx and DHL, and they happened to be just as cheap as what they displayed when I purchased them and I almost found it very fishy. I thought it was probably a contract thing as they stated before, but that's way too low for a package I paid through FedEx which they shipped my packages for 5000 yen when I paid 17000 yen. As you should know Janbox is mostly a Vietnamese company that does proxy work in Japan to ship stuff from Japan to Vietnam. They do accept other countries. But if you're NOT in Vietnam, you don't get the same benefits. Janbox has an express service called Janbox Express which is exclusive to Vietnam which makes shipping cheaper for those living there. But, for other countries that are not Vietnam, we are ONLY limited to EMS, DHL, and FedEx. These are all in their ways expensive or cheap with some incompetencies with the packages they ship. The fact that they don't have UPS (which I tend to use often), SAL, Airmail, or EVEN Seamail despite using this service for a year is just astonishing and disappointing.

Overall, I would love to use them again, but because of the many underlying problems, I won't be using them anytime soon. For Janbox, please take a keen listen to customer demands. I shouldn't have to pay money to do shipping readjustments to save on shipping when most proxies including Zenmarket and Neokyo as well as Buyee do it for free. Please give us more shipping options so we're not paying overpriced shipping prices for a couple of items, if you're trying to appeal to customers outside of Vietnam, please do that. Also, when someone expresses a demand, have your team keep tabs on those demands I shouldn't have to ask customer service many times to implement stuff to prep up for shipping. Overall, please do better, otherwise people will leave.

Excellent

I’ve just used Janbox for the first time I collect Japanese baseball cards and normally use FromJapan but there were cards I wanted on Mercari which you can’t use through FromJapan. The service was quick and easy to use items were very well packaged delivery took 4 days to arrive once they had been posted. Definitely recommended.
