The solder I purchased has a manufacturing date 2 1/2 years before the date that I purchased it. According to the manufacturer, the solder only has "a warranty period of 3 years from the date of manufacture".

Great transaction, worth the money.

Ordering was fine, but one of the products we ordered expires next month. It shouldn't be that fast. I have asked for and RMA or replacement and have not heard back yet.

No issues with product I purchased, room for improvement with the order status communication.

UPDATE:

The customer service at Janel came through with respect to my order, above and beyond what was necessary. Therefore, in all honesty, I must attribute my earlier review (see below) to a simple mis-communication. Not only did Janel reach out to me about the order delay, but then provided free shipping.

Compared to Amazon, or any other vendor offering the product, Janel was hands-down the most affordable for the identical product by orders of magnitude.

In light of Janel's excellent customer service, I will ABSOLUTELY be a returning customer.

If an item is not in stock, and the vendor has no idea when it will be available, there is simply no excuse as we approach 2020 for this information not being updated in real time online. Home Depot has no trouble tracking and reporting inventory, and they have hundreds of HUGE bricks and mortar locations to manage, in addition to the online stock.

I place an order for 2 pair of scissors, receive an acknowledgement, and then...nothing. After several days I called Janel, and that's when I discovered 'oh...we're out of stock, and don't know when it will be available'. No email, nothing - until I had to chase up.

Products arrived and were what I ordered, but time between order and shipping was unexpectedly long - 1 to 2 weeks. I'd use Janel Online again, but rating is only "Average" due to this long lead time.
