Really great customer service

Really great customer service - using the website and paying for the order was really easy (I went through the Jane Maple website directly which is better than using a inter flora imo), I received several emails letting me know the status of the order and the flower delivery tracking - the sneak peek photo is such a nice touch! Delivered on time and they look lovely!

Sadly they failed to deliver on Valentine’s Day

Sadly they failed to deliver on Valentine’s Day. Ordered a week prior to ensure delivery. Over priced for the day and a poultry box of cheap chocolates as an apology. Delivered the following day after 5pm. Excuses. No interiors delivery available and new system. Absolutely unacceptable. £50 for 6 roses sickening

Beautiful funeral flowers

Having to arrange a funeral in Hertfordshire whilst living in Derbyshire I took a chance on ringing local Hertford florist Jane Maples for the flowers. A difficult time was made so much easier as I was treated with kindness, politeness and helpfulness. The flowers were delivered on time direct to the funeral directors and when we arrived at the funeral we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the arrangement on the coffin. I had expressed a wish for no pink, and the arrangement was a blaze of colour - red, yellow and blue highlighted beautifully against the green foliage.
I was extremely happy with my experience and would recommend Jane Maples Flowers. A huge thank you to the team.

Glorious Anniversary presentation

Ordered anniversary flowers to be delivered today. It's a shame I cannot include a photo of the product that was delivered - it is absolutely glorious autumnal pinks, reds and orange, very expertly and beautifully presented.
I worked in the shop for a few days in September and the first hand customer service I observed was exemplary - many customers returning for repeat business at the best florist in Hertford!

Fabulous flowers

Fabulous flowers, fabulous team.
Gorgeous flowers were delivered to us recently by a really friendly chap. They were arranged and displayed beautifully, and still looked fresh for just over two weeks. Lovely team in the Hertford branch too - we ordered our wedding flowers from Jane 3 years ago too - really impressed by their creativity and attention to detail. Highly recommend.

The best in the area by far!

I have ordered flowers from Jane Maples flowers on several occasions and the service and quality of the product has always exceeded expectations. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else in Hertfordshire now for a bouquet!

Favorite florist

Ive order from Jane ten or so times and I wont go anywhere else. The flowers are always beautiful, get hand delivered super quick, and are super reasonably priced. I have been to venues where she has done the decorating (Hanbury manor to be specific) and my wife and I were super impressed. My wife also asked Jane for something specific for our wedding and she put together a bespoke bouquet that was perfectly matched to her ask.

Jane is the queen of floristry!

Jane is incredible at what she does. I love that she wasn’t afraid to tell me how my suggestions and vision could be improved. I put my trust in her, and she did not disappoint. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone else! Thank you Jane! X

Jane done my wedding flowers and I…

Jane done my wedding flowers and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Everything was perfect and exactly what I asked for if not better.
From start to finish Jane was so helpful and such a lovely person to work with. She went above and beyond and made my venue look absolutely stunning.
Even when I told her the wrong amount of tables and had to last minute create an extra arrangement she took it in her stride and I wasn’t even aware until after as she knew I would stress !
I will forever order my flowers from Jane in the future as not only are they always so beautiful Jane and her team are always so lovely and helpful!
Highly recommend.

We had the most upsetting experience…

We had the most upsetting experience with this florist. We spent a lot of money and got an awful arrangement in return. Apon calling to clarify if the delivery had been made by them or a second party, the owner was so rude and abusive it was hard to believe her attitude. I would advise people to avoid this shop.

I ordered a bouquet for my sisters…

I ordered a bouquet for my sisters girlfriend who had just had a job promotion, i thought it was a lovely thing to do and Jane Maples produced a stunning bouquet and delivered the very next day as i instructed online. Highly recommended.

Extremely disappointed

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my daughter who lives in Hertford.
I didn’t want just any run of the mill flowers sent to her, so I opted for a florist local to her and one that looked that bit extra special.
She is starting a new very important job and I wanted some beautiful flowers to wish her good luck on her first day. I needed them to be delivered on BH Monday so was delighted that Jane Maples were offering this and paid £75 for the privilege.
I woke up today (BH Monday) to a curt email telling me the website shouldn’t have accepted my order and they were not delivering but could deliver tomorrow!
Tomorrow is not good enough, she starts tomorrow and won’t be home during the day any more!
I replied saying the whole thing had been spoilt and didn’t even get an response let alone an apology! How I wish I had read these reviews before ordering!
I am now too late to get anything and am desperately disappointed. I appreciate things happen but at least respond and apologise and make it sound like you are trying to think of options!
Thanks for nothing!

Jane Maples Florist - the worst customer service ever!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FLORIST!!
This had to be the worst example of customer service I have ever encountered in my life.
Jane Maples has a disgusting attitude, is extremely defensive (when she had made the mistake), clearly cannot handle any form of pressure, not wanting to resolve the issue, shouting at me while in her shop and then making it very personal, so unprofessional
She should not be in business or customer facing.
Don’t give her your money her unless you like being shouted at, receiving abuse and not getting what you asked for!
This woman is a disgrace to all the amazing florists out there, so many lovely florists in Hertford avoid Jane Maples like the plague.

Incorrect delivery and seemingly reluctant customer service

I have used this florist before in the past and had no issues barring a late evening delivery, and seeing how 2020 has been a terrible year for everyone I thought I would support my local shops....

I ordered flowers online through their website for delivery on the 28th, when they never arrived I tried ringing the shop to no avail (I gave up when i realised i probably wouldnt get anything till monday as they were shut). I then sent them an email and waited for a response. I was away from home at the time and unable to look at my emails constantly, but the response I got on Sunday (the following day) was just that they had been delivered to 'a man in a towel'.

In the end the mystery was solved as the person the flowers were delivered to by mistake dropped them off. I emailed this florist and quite frankly got a slightly 'snotty' response. The impression I got was that they don't think they did anything wrong, admitted it was the 'Saturday Girls' mistake and didn't supply any suggestion for how they can make the poor experience better.

I understand that this is an honest mistake that can happen to anyone, and understand that the recipient they did accidentally deliver to confirmed the address but- that isn't who I have a problem with. Ultimately it still falls back to the florist and the shop, not the guy who had a random bouquet of flowers turn up on his doorstep which he accepted delivery for.

Admittedly they did email me back on the Sunday which I had missed, but no one ever tried to return my calls after I contacted the shop on the 28th and despite having my contact details on the order. You would have thought that they would have tried a little harder to reach out to a customer missing an order if they had the details as opposed to just sending a brief 'it was delivered to a man in a towel' email.

I'm just severely disappointed in the customer service this time round. The flowers themselves are beautiful and Jane really does make amazing bouquets, but I have asked that I could at least have the delivery charge refunded due to the incorrect and late delivery.

Some suggestions for the florist that I hope they take on board for the future:

- Implement a delivery notification system, even if it is just a polite email to your customers. You say these flowers were delivered at 1.20pm so you know when they were taken round, why not forward this on? I would have been able to have notified you of the missing delivery sooner.

- Actually check and clarify that you are delivering to the right address and or recipient. The address was on the small card on the flowers, if it was the right street but wrong door then I would understand, but this was the wrong street entirely. I am lucky that the person it ended up with decided to drop it round to the correct recipient at the correct address as opposed to keeping them.

Update: No response to my follow up email asking about a refund on the delivery charge. I don't think I'll be hearing from this shop again now.

Amazing Bouquet and Service

Ordered the flowers online for same day click and collect. Rang the shop and asked that I be able to pick them up at 13:30 as the collection time stated that it was 14:00 to 18:00. Arrived early around 13:00 and was politely told they were not ready yet. Went back just before 13:30 and was able to wait in a welcoming, pleasant, shop. Once the flowers were ready they were stunning. I had ordered a large bouquet but received a huge stunning bouquet that has been very well received. Would recommend again and again.

Never again and I advise you to find another florist.

Flowers were ordered by phone with the expressed requirement that they be delivered by 10:00hrs on the day as it was an 80th birthday. On speaking with the birthday girl at 10:30 it became clear the flowers hadn't arrived and she was about to go out. Jane Maple Flowers were contacted and I was informed they had left the shop. Sadly they didn't arrive before she went out and the 10:00 request was well and truly missed. The flowers were left with a neighbour to deliver the following day! Further calls to the shop to speak with the owner Jane Maples met with 'she's at a meeting' or 'she's not here'. On the final call she pulled up outside so I hung on while she came to the phone. To say the tirade I received from her would be unprintable here would be an understatement. She accused me of pestering her while on holiday and causing unnecessary stress by keep calling. So why then did her employee never say she was on holiday or she never return the calls? At no point did I ever receive an apology, in fact I ended up hanging up, not prepared to listen to any more. I certainly wouldn't use this shop again. I don't recommend it and I advise you to seek out another florist.
