The gym facilities were good for the price, but the gym was way over capacity meaning working out was difficult because you couldn’t freely access al the machines/workout space, the weights area barely gave space to do anything other than stand.
I have joined another gym in the city centre, much happier there.

Awfully crammed. I left in the middle of the training. Couldn't take the 15 minute waiting times. Could be a decent gym if one has time to spend the whole night there. I would be happy to pay more during peak times if it would keep the numbers under control. Now, need to try to find a new gym as training in this gym has become unbearable.

Really good and wide range of equipment
All the staff are welcoming and friendly
Not too much waiting time On the popular machines too.

Recently joined after leaving PureGym in Ancoats, Manchester.
Overall JD gym is nice gym and decent value for money.
Couple of positive and negatives:
- Staff could be more friendly. In the 2 weeks I’ve been there not a single member of staff has said hi to me.
- Manchester City Centre gym is way too busy and cramped. Have to wait ages for machines, weights and cables.
- Manchester City Centre gym: cleaner closes the sauna way too early at 9:30 and has zero customer service skills.
- Salford location has plenty of parking and 3 hours of free parking
- Salford location is much more spaced out so it doesn’t feel like I’m constantly falling over people like the Manchester City centre one.
- Salford gym is nice and clean and weights are constantly put away
- Got a free red bull at the Salford gym because the red bull girls were doing a promotion.
- Salford location should hopefully be 24/7 soon.
- Wish they did a buddy membership like PureGym as part of the plus membership. I used this whilst I was at PureGym and lots of my buddies ended up joining and it’s always nice to train with a partner now and again.

Joined just last week, i have been getting bored of pure gyms for a while now, so when i saw that there was a JD GYM on my route home and it had a promotion running i had to try it out! (I totally refuse to pay joining fees for a gym)
Absolutely love this gym, proper range of machines, cables, free weight, benches etc. Only gripe i have is that there is no PECDEC? Which i find strange but not a game changer.
Great staff and very clean. Love it

Brilliant gym with a great range of equipment to help you achieve your goals. Staff are helpful too and are always available for advice or to demonstrate a bit of equipment. I’ve been to a few gyms the past years but this gym is by far the best.
Mory!

Best gym ever👍The equipment, changing room are all good and clean. Wholesome staff members everyone’s very helpful and FUNNY as well 😂 Be prepared to have a laugh with them when you’re taking a break. Alex the manager might surprise you with bubble tea or random sweets 😬 recommend Leah’s HIIT session it’s intense and fun!

Really nice gym for city centre. Quite small compared to gyms out of town but loads of good equipment. Changing rooms are spacious and clean which is a nice surprise in such a busy gym

This is my favourite gym in Manchester City Centre. For the location, class schedule and range of equipment, the price is absolutely excellent. I train early in the morning and find the gym perfectly tidy (it’s reset it at every close), changing rooms/ shower/ sauna are spotless and it’s not particularly busy so can always get equipment. I’ve been to a few classes which have always been well planned and really fun. The standards/ culture here and the friendly staff set this gym apart for me and why I’m happy I chose JD.

Most professional gym I have ever worked in,
- huge open space
- high ceiling
- a big cardio zone with prowler tracks
- a seperate crossifit zone
- a seperate weighlifting zone
- a seperate fitness zone with light dumbbells and barbells where some members might find little bit more privacy
- massive main bodybuilding zone where equipement is split in nice clear rows ( squat racks, benches, free weights area, plate loaded machines and cable machines )
top that with a great training atmosphere and a really nice polite members
You will be surrounded by combination of wood, rustic metal and green neons as a part of cool interior design.
Speaking as a staff member we all have been trained to really look after this place, there is always one of us ready to help you at the reception desk, daily eqipment check and cleaning check are on ongoing basis just to make sure this place is safe and presentable for our all our quests.
If you are lucky you might even grab your first month for as little as £5, JD is running great offer all the time
oh and forgot to mention all classes and sauna are also included
honest 5/5 speaking from my heart here
