Just rejoined Parc Tawe JD after going to another gym for couple years. Signed up for the les mills body pump classes - and had the first one with Keira Kane this morn! And she was amazing and Ive been to other bodypumps but she seemed to act like she really wanted to be there which makes a world of difference than just going through the motions!

First small gym very busy at a time you…
First small gym very busy at a time you cant train, lokers shut at 10 oclock which is redicilious for a 24 hours gym, most equipment is for cardio not much for body building

Regarding the lockers, we do close some areas during certain times for safety reasons, however accessible facilities are available – if you ever need assistance, please speak to a member of the team who will be happy to help.
We also appreciate your comments about the balance of equipment. We’re always looking at ways to improve our facilities, so your feedback will be passed on to the relevant team.

Generally an unpleasant gym to train at. The cleanliness is rough and the whole place is untidy. Plates are difficult to locate and staff/ users etiquette is indicative of poor culture nurturing. Lots of the equipment is frayed or damaged leading to awkwardness during movements. All of this doesnt come close to how bad the benches near the dumbell rack are though. Almost impossible to use flat as the seat is permanently arched up. Whose idea was that?
Anyway, I wouldn't train here if I could avoid it. Gained a star for 24 hour convenience, although I feel that it contributes to lots of these problems.

Thieves! JD have taken £41:99 from my account without my authority. Membership is £27:99 apparently. I’ve been trying to contact their customer services, response takes up to 10 days for each response. Their app / account is non user friendly for those with learning difficulties. Could not gain access to the gym tonight at 19:30. I Pressed the green button for 20 minutes, but nobody came. Called Parc Tawe and again, no answer.

Gym is good - yoga classes are excellent
The gym is good, lots of machines and the ladies gym is a nice safe space with reasonable room.
The classes are the highlight - particularly Gerwyn’s yoga classes. I have really improved my flexibility, stability and peace of mind through doing these. I look forward to them every week and I never have to drag myself to them. I’ve been going for 8 weeks straight now :-)

Yoga classes
Went to a yoga class under the yoga instructor Gerwyn steele. I thoroughly enjoyed the classes Ive attended so far, brilliant teacher and perfectly paced with guiding the class and students. Would attend again and highly recommend to others looking for a comfortable, well paced and welcoming yoga experience.

Chose Swansea Parc Tawe branch as had…
Chose Swansea Parc Tawe branch as had women's only gym. The equipment in it is useless, mainly cardio and 2 hip abductors? No weights machines. Would of been more useful been as loads of cardio machine 20/30 steps away outside the door ..yes there are weights machines there but VERY close together. Hence I was wanting privacy to do these kind of workouts in the women's only area.otherwise I'm happy. It's clean, tidy ..not too busy during time I choose to go.

One of the cleanest most well run Gyms I've ever been in. The staff were all friendly and helpful even in the face of some customers who were obviously there just to moan. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was motivational.
