Sold horrible transmission for 2009 Honda Civic hybrid
I own a 2009 Honda Civic hybrid. I was in need of a replacement transmission due to the fact that mine was going bad with 177,000 miles. I was trying to avoid a rebuilt situation and I could not afford to buy a brand new one. I found JDM on ebay and decided to call them directly. I purchased a transmission from them that I was told came from a car in Japan that was never in an accident and had between 65,000 and 75,000 miles on it. Fast-forward to the transmission being shipped to my mechanic. Luckily, the transmission was the correct one (after all, I purchased online, never laid eyes on it and trusted this business to send it to me after sending them a PayPal for $1,000). What was extremely unpleasant, unexpected, and extremely expensive Was to find that the transmission they sent me was in worse shape than the one I had in my car originally. JDM does not standby what they sell. They’re just looking to make a quick buck by telling you, they have no idea if the part works or not but at the same time saying how clean the cars are that they are coming from. So, I am now out $3,000 for a bad transmission and the labor it took to put it on. I can’t afford to take it out and shake JDM down for a refund, so now I’m out my car along with being 3k poorer. Do not buy from them!
