Golf addiction has officially started. Had my first ever golf fitting on the weekend which was a Driver fitting. His knowledge is second to none and he knew exactly what shaft would be right for me after only hitting a few shots with my driver and the Stealth Plus which by the way everyone needs to try.

I have problems with the irons I have which we tried on the weekend and he gave me one shaft to try and my numbers were so much better so booked in an iron fitting a couple days later. The experience was really good and couldn’t thank James enough. After trying 4 different shafts the shaft he gave me on the weekend came out on top and found out p790 with a couple of tweeks to lie angle and length got my numbers where they should be.

Very happy with the two fittings I have gone through this week and I highly recommend getting a clubs fitting with James.

He’s a top bloke who wants the best for you and he knows exactly how to do it. Now time to wait for my new Driver, 3 wood and Irons.

At 75 not expecting to change ability much. However, booked 4 sessions with James, frightened myself with the videos but gradually put his advice into practice. Second half of the season was my best for quite some years. Definitley booking another 4 session before new season.

I took up golf when I retired. I have been with James as my instructor from the outset. He is a great instructor, nice guy and has good empathy with me. He fitted me for most of my clubs, with which I an very pleased.

I had my 1st lesson today with James and was extremely impressed! I'm new to the area and was recommended to him by a friend who has just started golf. I found his style very friendly and his use of Trackman to explain what I was doing and what he was going to get me to do was fantastic. I found it very easy to understand. There are hundreds of numbers/pictures/videos he could show me to illustrate a myriad of points but James kept it simple and told me to basically take 1 thing away from this lesson. So it's time to put the hard work and looking forward to seeing the improvements in lesson 2 in a months time

I really like James as teacher. I started playing in July and at my first lesson with him, I could barely get the ball off the mat! Since then he has worked with me and I recently shot 100.

James is friendly, supportive and has a great manner, but what I really like about working with James is that I feel he is invested in my aim to become a better golfer.

He is also open-minded. In a lesson with him today he was genuinely interested in my own perceptions and ideas and changed the lesson plan accordingly to take them into account.

I have set myself the ambition to get my handicap down to 28 by the summer and James seems to genuinely care about supporting me in achieving that aim.

I've been visiting James for lessons and club fittings for around 4 years.
The experience has always been fantastic, friendly and informative.
He is great at explaining the information he is receiving for the trackman be it within a club fitting or a lesson.
His experience in the game is clear to see and I wouldn't go anywhere else for honest advice/tips and a great service.

2 years ago I picked up the sticks again after many years of ‘society golf’. Knowing James for some years, he was my “go to” professional for advice on new clubs and guidance when getting back into the game. He’s advised me on club fitting, guiding me to those best suited to handicap and style, and when my game was not progressing as expected, I returned to James for lessons. I have been to James for lessons and custom fittings for a number of years now and have never been disappointed.

He keeps his explanations simple and easy for me to understand. With his coaching I have got to my lowest handicap ever this year and will look forward to him helping me to get to single figures. I first met James about 5 years ago through my brother who recommended I go to see him to sort my swing out and have not looked back ever since, although I have dipped in and out of golf over the last few years every time I need a lesson I look nowhere else.
