I bought a ticket to an active war zone...

I bought a ticket from the united states to bangkok. When buying the ticket I saw that there was a stop and lay over in boha. I had no idea where that was. I Especially did not know that it is in qatar. And most importantly, All of flights in qatar are canceled due to the conflict in iran.
I was sold an expensive ticket and did not receive a warning or notification that one of the stops was in a war zone. And now the airline is not taking calls and is only dealing with people whose flight is scheduled to leave in 2 days. Now I am left wondering if my flight will be canceled or rerouted, but\n Either way, I have no idea what is happening. Why would an airline be allowed to sell a ticket that was going through an active war zone?

Worst experience ever.

Worst experience ever.
It was a nightmare to book a flight with jetabroad. Customer service will take ages to reply and was not helpful at all.
I canceled my flight because I was unable to get any help related my flight, now its been more than 6 weeks I still didn't get the refund.
They deduct cancelations fee for themselves on top of air line fee, for their services which is not even they're providing.
I am not even sure if I will get any refund.

I can that all of your emails were replied to within 24hrs and at the moment we are awaiting a refund on your file. Please note, while we understand that you are not happy about the delay, however, once travel agencies submit tickets for a refund, it is upto the airline then to process the same and issue us the refund. The processing time of the airlines are completely out of a travel agency's hand. This is why Jetabroad advises in our quotation that the refunds can take any time between 4 to 12 weeks, sometimes longer. With the ongoing war going on at the moment, the processing times may be affected as well. We request that you kindly wait for our finance team to contact you once your refund is in.

Succesful Experience

I was able to purchase my tickets and make my reservations. Good price and fast. The communication was a little concerning, given that you had to wait a while to get your tickets, but in the end, everything went well.

Not really happy!

Easy enough to do a booking and make payment. Unfortunately, once you have the flight it is extremely difficult to manage your flight, example being booking of seats. Now many emails back to Jetaboard and whilst they are very good at responding, there is never sufficient information to allow you to successfully get onto the airline website to successfully book seats, I am still trying, and the airline doesn't even recognise me, regardless of what information I put in. All information comes from Jetaboard. Maybe you can assist!!

Crooked business practices

This is an immoral, thieving business. I don’t know how their employees sleep at night, knowing they are stealing money from passengers. Over $250 in cancellation fees per ticket - even when the airline cancelled the flight due to no fault of ours! My parents were stranded in a war zone in the Middle East. They claim to disclose all the fees on their website, but it says nothing about the airline cancelling - also, why don’t they make these high fees visible at the time of booking? Please avoid them like the plague.

While we are very sorry about the inconvenience caused, however please note that Jetabroad sells airfares that are loaded on our system directly by the airline and even though it is rare but there are times that an airline may delay updating their inventory in real time which leads in the fare being rejected. In such cases, as outlined in Jetabroad's terms and conditions, we offer the passenger the next best option or a full refund. In your case, while we checked other flights and other Airlines but unfortunately we were unable to offer you seats on any Airline at a comparable price and hence you were refunded in full.

Good service and fast refund, but ticket availability needs improvement

TL;DR:
Generally a good experience with responsive customer service and a fast refund, but Jetabroad's system should better synchronise with airline availability to avoid selling tickets that cannot be issued.

DETAILED FEEDBACK
This was our third time using Jetabroad. The previous two bookings were excellent, with e-tickets issued within minutes.
This time, due to the recent Iran conflict and high demand for flights, the situation was different. After purchasing a ticket in the evening I waited more than an hour without receiving confirmation. When trying to buy another ticket for my wife through a different agency, their system immediately showed that the same flight was no longer available.
I briefly called Jetabroad but disconnected without leaving a message. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email shortly afterwards acknowledging the call and saying they would get in touch. I then emailed them explaining the situation and saying I would be fine with a refund if the ticket could not be issued.
The next morning I received confirmation that the ticket could not be issued and the payment had been refunded. The refund arrived very quickly, within about 24 hours, which I appreciated.

Two constructive points:
1. Jetabroad's system appears to allow purchases of tickets that are no longer available. Better synchronisation with airline inventory would prevent this.
2. The final email suggested the issue came from the airlines, while in practice inventory accuracy is largely the responsibility of the booking platform!

Overall, the situation was handled professionally and the communication and refund were very good.
