Jet Heating and Air gave the wrong info
Jet Heating and Air (JHA) was dispatched by American Home Shield Insurance (AHS) to find the problem with my Carrier heating system that had and error code. JHA had Hunter come out to inspect the system. He confirmed the system had a leak in the condenser outside and a leak on the inside unit too. After the inspection, I received an email from AHS denying our claim. The reason for denying it “Replace: Condenser Coil; Failure reason: Pre-existing Condition: Contractor Note: House was purchased 3 Mo ago. When he tried to turn on Air for the first time it would not operate only in the heat mode through the furnace.” We never tuned the AC on. It was cold and only the heater was running. The error code was for low coolant in the heat pump system. I contacted Hunter and explained that AHS had denied the claim and told him what AHS had sent to me. He said he did not tell them that. I asked him to contact AHS to clear up the confusion but he did not do that. I did speak to another person at JHA but I got nowhere with that either. JHA did not get the correct information to AHS or AHS misinterpreted their response. The issue is JHA would not clear up the confusion with AHS about the error code and heat pump system using the same components. The error code for low coolant came up after 3 months after I had purchased the home and I NEVER tuned on the air. I would be very cautious of Jet.
