I have used JJesim twice on 3 different devices at this point and the data and customer service have been amazing! I had an issue with activating my eSIM this time that the customer support team was so kind in assisting me with resolving it. The cellular connection has almost no dead zones and I am once again extremely happy with the coverage this eSIM provides. The download is easy, the coverage is great, and the customer service is amazing! Highly recommend this eSIM for anyone traveling to Japan!

Reliable, fast, easy to install with some nice benefits.
My husband first tried a bigger competitor's package but it was impossible to get it to work. Within minutes of landing, he also signed up and set up his journey Sim and we enjoyed it for the entire 2 weeks we used it without any issues.

Recent trip to Japan was made easy by being connected.

used Journey Japan eSIM in June last year. It was super easy, and worked everywhere we went in japan zero issues would recommend over anyone else and i have used a few before.

I began my trip in Fukuoka, road tripped all around the Kyushu region, then slowly made my way to Narita. This was my first time using an eSIM- it was easy to initiate and gave me no issues during the entire 30 days of my trip. I had great signal in every area I travelled to even in a small, seemingly nearly abandoned, coastal town in Oita and at a shrine that was nestled deep into some very thick woods out in the middle of nowhere. I was nervous about not having signal in the small towns and remote places that I visited since I was alone so I was very happy with the service and felt totally comfortable and safe exploring knowing that I could make a phone call should an emergent situation occur!

I am in a special situation where I need wifi and cant have it installed in my dorm because of school rules. (They SPECIFICALLY told me "No, you cannot install internet here"). So I purchase the JJEsim once a month while I'm living here for the next year as a student. Of course the school has wifi, and cafés and restaurants all over Japan have free Wifi. But when I'm on the go or in more remote areas, it's been AMAZING! Literally can use my phone for everything! Fun, homework, emails, streaming! I got a TV so I can cast from my phone and I can also use my phone as a Hotspot whenever I need to use my laptop. Love this esim! Its been a lifesaver! It never stops working. Occasionally in SUPER congested areas or way underground in the subway the internet can be a little slow, but I've never lost connection. And I'm so grateful because me and my friends have been dependent on good internet connection while living here in Tokyo, especially when we need directions to places we've never been. I use this esim for all my internet needs and it hasn't let me down once. Because I live here and I need the internet for all sorts of things, I purchase the unlimited plan once a month. When the month is up I just swap to a new esim. However, if you were coming to Japan for a short or midlength trip, you might not need the unlimited plan. You'd have to know how much data you use, but there are lots of options to choose from. The unlimited IS truly unlimited though. Chris didn't lie about that. I never get throttled, I never lose connection, and I am pretty much using the internet almost 24/7 (I use a lot of data). But its fantastic! I'm never without service! So I'll continue to use JJEsim to help me with all my internet searching needs. Thanks Chris 🥰

So glad we used yall for our December 2025 trip! It was easy to pay, set up and use. We never ran out of gigs and it worked without fail at every area we went, Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara even the super remote bamboo woods we went to. We will use yall again for our next trip for sure 🥰

Very easy to install with clear instructions provided on how to connect both iphone and androids. For 3 weeks we got the 50GB package but leaving it on all the time with connecting to internet at hotels only used 15GB without being strict with data usage. Price is good and no issues with bad service even while skiing.

I travel to Japan every year and this was the first esim that worked reliably the entire time.

Used this eSIM service in Oct 2025. First time using an eSIM. Was very easy to get setup and once it was activated - we had zero issues for our 3 week trip in Japan.

Overall a great experience. I installed the eSim before leaving home and enabled it once we landed in Japan. There was a very minor hiccup in that the default access point option didn't work for me, but I just selected the other option and after that everything was fine. I travelled to Tokyo, Nagoya, Marugame, Osaka, Naha (Okinawa) and Zamami Island (small island near Naha, population 500 people) - in all cases I had a great connection. I was even able to upload photos and video in the middle of the sea between Zamami and Naha, which I really did not expect.

They use the best network provider. (Tried others before) Installation is easy and clear. And I get to support an amazing film maker. Win-win!

Service was great, It did drop out in a few places but they were in the middle of rural Japan, in places where 99% of people who will use this would never go, I am really surprised at how good the Coverage was! I did find it a bit tricky to initially set it up in my phone (google pixel 7 pro) but I'm not the most tech savvy person. I used it from Fukuoka, all along the west coast and up to Hokkaido and it was flawless

I bought an E-Sim ahead of time for my trip to Japan. Everything worked like a charm. I got a guide and was told to activate once in Japan. Did what the guide said, activated my E-Sim in the Android settings and had Internet right away. Reception was great everywhere I went, never had any issues.

Simple Setup and Very Good Coverage!
Loved everything about this E-Sim. It was our perfect Travel Companion throughout the 3 Weeks in Japan. Everywhere we went from Tokyo over Sendai and Nagano, we always had a stable connection and fast internet. The prices are more than fair and the benefits are great! So if you want to travel Japan with ease, than grab one of those SIM cards from Journey Japan !

Only had signal about 60% of my trip and even when I did the speeds really weren't great, super slow and seems to be on the expensive side for what it is
