The imp call-screening system consists of three parts:

  • the imp app: our smartphone app where you can see (and control) everything that is happening with your landline.

  • Greenlist Technology: our secret sauce call-screening technology. At setup, imp uses Greenlist Technology to sync your smartphone contacts with your landline phone.

imp works with you to assign calls to 1 of 3 lists:

Wanted callers, who imp lets ring through, and where imp can also take a message if you want. These callers make up your Greenlist.

Callers where imp silently takes a message. These callers make up your Greylist.

And unwanted callers, where imp just hangs up on them. This is your Redlist.

With imp, the only calls you get are the calls you want.

The perfect Land Line screening solution

Such a robust solution to screening calls and taking messages. We got IMP for my 80+ year old mother who needs her land line - but that’s a double edged sword since mom (fighting dementia) will answer any questions asked … including her SSN, address, bank info and personal information that should never be disclosed. IMP has literally saved money, hardship, anxiety and delivers a safe, secure environment for our family. Highly recommend this product!

48 hours in, 88 calls blocked.

I installed my Mother’s Imp right at 48 hours ago. This far 88 spam/blocked calls. Mom is in assisted living and has been bombarded with scam calls. So, go to joinimp.com and signup for your loved one. I am thrilled I did this. My only regret is that I allowed my Mother’s harassment to go on as long as it did. I give it 10 stars, when only 5 are allowed.

Not one complaint with Imp

My Mom insists on a landline but also is extremely unhappy with all the scam callers. The day I ordered Imp, we had over 50 scam callers coming in like just minutes apart. I got mom Ooma because I thought it would be easier to block bad calls but that did not work. Once, i recieved the imp box it took less the 10 minutes and is absolutely a god send. Been with Imp about a month and all scam calls blocked. I would absolutely recommend Imp. I have not one complaint.

Amazing how "blocking" has become the paradigm. Makes no sense. Should just be "allowing" the calls you want. After all, it is your phone.

Imp is a home run!

3 weeks from install for the Imp System and it is an absolute home run! Before purchase, the folks at Imp answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns about how it works. Their customer service is excellent! The installation was amazingly easy and once I set up the Green List, Imp has worked like a charm!! Only the calls we want get through- NO others! Imp has kept between 13-20 calls EVERY day from bothering us. It’s so peaceful!! I’m very grateful for the Imp System and the folks at Imp! Thank you so much Imp!!

LANDLINE LIFE-SAVER

My 88-year-old father has an analog landline without caller ID, no voicemail and Alzheimer's. The one thing he can remember is that he gets too many solicitation calls. After much research, I discovered IMP. The not-yet-green listed callers don't get through to him, and SURPRISE - they almost never leave a vmail. When they do, it's almost always a recording. Because he doesn't have a mobile phone either, I have the IMP app on my phone. Meals On Wheels left a vmail the other day, and I was able to easily move the driver's number to the green list. My husband said someone must have invented this for a family member. It really is a life-saver.

Exactly what I needed

I could not be happier.

Imp is 100% worth it!!

My 87 year old mother was giving her credit card information over the phone with a credit card that was shut off due to fraud!

The current call blocker was NOT working. Research uncovered joinimp.com. I attended a zoom call to find out more. It was less expensive than the other call blockers, but even better, I have an app on my cell phone and I can control who gets thru to my mom.

After 20 days in use, my mom has received 105 redlisted calls (potential scammers) and 49 greenlisted calls (family and friends). That is 5 calls a day from unknowns/bad guys.

At first I researched these unknown or seemingly local callers. 99 percent of the time, no voicemails are left, so I redlist them without further research.

I leave health care, garbage, and other businesses on the greylist since they will leave messages. I will then get a notification and can listen to the message. My mom would not remember the important calls.

All instances of help I needed were almost instantly handled by Emily. And this was around Christmas.

Kudos to George for his geniusness to create imp!!!

If you have a land line, this is a MUST-HAVE

As someone who’s spent their entire career (30+ years) in the telephone industry as a switching technician, I completely understand how easy it is for call spammers to spoof and circumvent current “call blocking” software/hardware that’s advertised. However, this ingenious product takes a different (unsolvable-for-spammers) approach to this issue. Instead of taking a ‘number-matching’ reactive approach like all other products (which is futile due to spoofing), this device takes a reactive approach allowing the user to completely control all incoming calls, leaving NOTHING to chance. The setup is simple, intuitive and very easy for anyone to make adjustments and amendments to, in practically real time. Their response time to any problem is impressive, and their support staff is not outsourced to someone reading from a manual. You will actually talk to company employees who know their product well and main goal is for you to be satisfied. Very refreshing in this day and time. Their strategy, device, and app related software are well thought out and impressive. In my opinion, this is one of the life changing solutions that are a must have, like Life360 and Garmin driving assistance. Once you’ve experienced them, you will never go without them.

We recommend IMP

I have a home phone that is sometimes used for our business and we were getting at least 20 unwanted calls a day. It is unbelievably aggravating when people are calling your house trying to scam us. I got so tired of it, I looked up solutions and found IMP. I could not be happier that I did. I have not received one unwanted phone call since I've installed their system. It is very very streamlined. $10 a month is definitely worth the aggravation that I would be getting from chasing phone calls and listening to the phone ring. Being able to change our greeting is a plus as well.... Now people can leave a message and I can retrieve it from the IMP app... I would recommend it!!!

Finally, peace for my 91 year old mother.

I knew my 91 year old mother was getting a lot of calls. Unfortunately it got serious when she started giving personal information to the callers. She gave her bank account number, her Social Security number, and her Medicare number to these callers. She thought they were real companies, real doctors, real nice people. They weren’t. As the scams increased I really didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t take away her phone! When I found IMP on the Internet it sounded too good to be true. I looked into it and thought it sounded like an obvious solution to a horrible problem. I bought it and I have never been happier. I had no idea my mom was getting 50 calls a day! I kid you not, 50 calls a day! I was stunned. My poor mom. Dealing with that must have been so hard and stressful. They called her from 6:30 in the morning until 5:30 every night. Crazy!!!!
Now she only gets calls from friends and family, just like it should be.
Thank you IMP. You have made a huge, positive difference in my mom’s life. And mine too, by the way. I feel so much better knowing she is not getting scammed all day every day.

This device will not connect to my…l

This device will not connect to my mother's wifi. I've emailed, called and had to leave a message, called again and they said there was problems on their end to connect. I was directed to look at Videos on YouTube. My mother's bank account is being charged $10 a month for NO service. In the meantime she receives at least 10 spammer calls a day. I want to cancel, but can't reach anyone. This must be a 'start up' as no one seems to know what to do.

Gee, I am really sorry that your mother has been getting all those unwanted calls.

In our records, we see that you purchased imp in June, and then did not try to install the unit till November. During that time, we were in touch with multiple offers of help or encouragement.

In November, when you tried to install the unit, you contacted us and let us know you were having difficulty. Pending getting your unit online, we immediately suspended the monthly charges on your account, and gave you an additional month of credit. As you know.

I am sorry that our team was not available when you called after hours. While we do have team members on the west coast, our main operations are in New England. And we work hard, but also work hard to balance work and life.

Since you called, we have reached out to you multiple times, and multiple times a day. And we hear back irregularly or not at all. We have offered, and will offer again, a tool to schedule some time with our support staff. So you can choose when to do the installation. Our staff, on their own volition, offered to make themselves available to you outside of work hours. All we need to do is hear from you.

For what it is worth, most of our customers find the installation videos and instructions helpful.

I am sorry you are having difficulty. We are committed to working with you, but you also need to work with us just a little bit.

We will reach out to you again on Monday, and hope to connect. While receiving a cancellation request via Trust Pilot is unusual, we will certainly accommodate your wishes.

Simple and easy to set up and use

Simple and easy to set up and use. My dad was answering spam calls constantly. I now see that imp is blocking on average about 45-50 unwanted calls a day during the week.

I could not be more pleased

I could not be more pleased. The order process was easy; installation and configuration instructions were easy to follow.

It's working as advertised. Only calls from people I want to talk to ring through. The answering machine function makes it easy to play messages left by greylisted callers on my phone!

Saved my mom and our family

My mom is 85 years old, has early onset dementia and was recently scammed by ruthless scumbags. We would tell her over and over just hang up….don’t answer if it’s not one of us on the caller ID. She answered anyway. We contemplated changing phone numbers but know that would be a huge hassle. We found IMP through a Google search. What a god send this little machine has been. Cost was $50….we would have paid way more. We set up the Imp on July 23, 2023. The Imp works better than we could have anticipated. To date Imp has screened (not allowed through) over 2000 + scam phone calls. This is not an exaggeration. Over 2000 in 23 days but that includes weekends. We found that very few scammers will call on Saturday/Sunday. We had no idea the amount of scam calls my mom received. Today she had 123 screened calls. The calls come in the early morning hours - 12:43am…the again at 2:43am - same number - no message. It’s easy to redlist numbers so they don’t get through. You can set up do not disturb for specific hours - we started using that feature recently. It’s an amazing software and we highly recommend. The app allows our family to view the calls on our cellphone. You can see who called, name etc. if it’s not in your contact list - it doesn’t get through. My mom was scammed constantly - we have over 300 Covid tests, back braces, knee braces, wrist braces and more from the Medicaid scams. We lost $3000 to a scammer in Seattle telling her he was with the police - her identity was being used - please verify it with me. She did….bye bye money. We had to cancel the bank accts, put a credit freeze on all three credit bureaus….pain in the rear. We wish we would have found this sooner. No scam calls have come through since July 23. You won’t believe how great this works. Thank you Imp family for helping our mom. I hope this review helps you decide to purchase…you won’t be disappointed. Good luck!

Ordered the IMP for my mother.

Ordered the IMP for my mother and are very happy with how it has stopped the nuisance calls. We had one incident with break through calls. My email was answered promptly and gave me the directions to fix the issue. I appreciate the trouble shooting and the way the system was checked. I highly recommend, especially for an aging parent!

This has saved my mother…

This has saved my mother from so many scams. She is starting to have dementia and people where calling her and selling her stuff. We received over 100 packages of different things in one month. We put her on the do-not-call list and that did nothing. After we installed IMP it has changed her life (and ours), it blocked 76 calls one day last week. This is a major contribution to us letting Mom stay in her own house.

Life Changing Product for Member and Family

Since installing IMP, my mother’s house has become much quieter. She was receiving more than 20 unwanted calls a day.

I control the list of “green” calls and am able to review all messages.

Product has made a greater impact on my life than my mother’s. No more scams to fix, no more insurance fiascos to unravel, etc., etc.

Best Remote Call Blocking/Screening Product/Service Available

Thus far, this has been the best remote call blocking/screening tool I’ve found to protect my grandmother with Alzheimer’s against scammers. Setup and activation were super simple. I live hundreds of miles away from my grandmother and imp provides an easy solution to manage the calls that ring through to her. There have been times when I’ve wished support was available outside of typical business hours (like when I was signed out of the app with no way of signing back in), but this is typical with a startup and will likely get better as operations are scaled up. The audio quality of recorded messages could also be better, but most of the messages that seem to come from reputable callers can be heard clearly for the most part. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase/service and excited to see imp grow.
