We left our consultation with a document that indicated we would receive 3 items - the document had 3 ticks against different options. We paid £1600, which seemed pricy but they seemed to be knowledgeable. We then received a draft will which did not provide the protection we believed would be guaranteed, based on their proposition. When we queried that and the absence of the other 2 documents we were advised that they were incorporated within the will. We felt cheated and misled. Correspondence with the company has not resolved this. We cannot recommend this company since we’ve thrown away £1600.

We found Joslin Rhodes by accident over 10 years ago and it was the greatest accident that has happened to us. Firstly they are very open and honest in everything they do with regards to our retirement funds. They work very hard to ensure we are happy, content and reassured with what our future holds for us. We never have to check in through the year because they have never let us down and if there were any problems around our happy plan they would immediately contact us. The growth of our retirement fund has always been more than acceptable so we are happy to leave the management of our fund solely in their hands. With regards to the staff within Joslin Rhodes they are always welcoming, polite, professional and friendly. Infact our yearly meetings are more like visiting friends, with the added advantage of being updated with the successful results of our fund. We would never consider any other company and highly recommend Joslin Rhodes.

My wife and I have just finished the planning stage of our retirement with Joslin Rhodes.
It's taken a few months and many virtual meetings, but it has been very thorough and we are very impressed with the process so far, and the outlook for our retirement finances. The plan is stress tested to make sure it will work over time, which was very important to us as it's a big decision in life.
The fees are transparent and explained multiple times throughout the process, and if they manage things for you then your funds are split so they are protected by the government FSCS scheme, which gives us peace of mind.
All good advice costs, the sums can be large (depending on the value of your pension pot), but the percentages are tiny at the end of the day.
You are guided through your approach to risk so a plan is created to match your needs.
You can just pay for the plan (fixed price) and sort things out yourself, or they can do everything for you (for a percentage of the pot). They can then manage things going forwards for a small percentage, which is what we have chosen to do.
Everyone was very friendly and they really get to know you and what you are trying to achieve.

My husband and I love Joslin Rhodes. From first walking in the door to be greeted by a very friendly receptionist to meeting with our advisor the whole visit is like going to meet friends. The advice given is discussed in a way that you can understand. This year a little different due to COVID but the social distance and procedures put in place were perfect to keep us all safe. All in all our visit was just what we would expect to get and a special mention to Luke who was very well prepared and was enormously helpful to us

We have been looked after exceptionally well over the past two years by staff at the Preston farm branch. Going to see advisers can be daunting, as it isn’t something that most of us do very often. The staff at Joslin Rhodes are very welcoming and help you feel at ease.
Throughout the process they explain things in detail and are happy to go over them again if you need them to.

We have just had our 1st year review and what a year 2020 has been but somethings are always guaranteed and that was the service and confidence we have in Joslin Rhodes. We couldn’t speak to our original planner Christine due to illness (we wish you well soon Christine) and had the review with Anthony. The review was good despite the turmoil due to COVID and we felt even more assured after talking everything through with Anthony. Questions we raised were answered and information for ourselves refreshed. Keep up the great, clearly explained ways that you do things at Joslin Rhodes above all this is most important to ourselves. I remember you saying that “there is never a wrong question” and we have asked you, I would think a few that maybe weren’t worldly important but non the less important to ourselves and received full explanations from all areas of your business (thank you too to Jayne and Andrew) and we go away understanding what has been discussed. I would definitely recommend anyone with retirement planning queries to give Joslin Rhodes the time to pass on their expertise and clear planning in this area. We did and we are happy and confident for the years to come.
