Don't bother with Jot for commuter ebike rentals.
I don't know what Jot Bikes is like for courier rentals, but if you're after a commuter rental, don't bother.
Reserved a commuter bike and made an appointment to go and collect it. Had that confirmed by text and email. Travelled a long way across London to get there, only to find they weren't interested in renting one to me. The exceptionally unhelpful staff member said that they weren't the company for me and I'd be better off elsewhere (and, to be fair, they were right about that).
They claimed not to be able to provide a one-week rental and that the website says so. It doesn't, and nor do their small print terms and conditions; only that a minimum term is to be agreed between themselves and the customer.
The website does mention 'minimal' terms, but mimimal does not mean minimum, and in any case, the latter isn't specified.
Bizarrely, if we had managed to agree a rental period and paid upfront but then returned the bike early, we would have lost the £150 deposit. Note, this doesn't mean the rental fee (which I wouldn't expect to get back, even in part). They meant the deposit.
Rude, unhelpful, and baffling, but happily, I dodged a bullet.
