Even though no one can truly be prepared for the breathtaking scenery, incredible wildlife, and rich culture, Andrew did an excellent job getting us ready for the journey. We received detailed information in advance about what to pack, along with clear guidance on all requirements and expectations. Each experience thoughtfully built on the last, making the entire trip feel seamless and well-curated.
Our accommodations were wonderful—comfortable, clean, and perfect for relaxing after full days of exploring. I would highly recommend Andrew and this trip to anyone. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This was an absolutely amazing trip and even though we had heard from others how great Andrew and the rest of the staff are, my expectations were still blown away. The camps were beautiful, the animals breathtaking, and every day held a new experience. Our drivers, and Andrew, are so knowledgable but also so humble and helpful it was a joy to be the jeeps with them. Trip of a lifetime!

Our trip to Uganda in Sept/October this year was phenomenal because of the many experiences that Andrew planned for us. Andrew researches the varied activities, lodging, and details personally so that those attending can be assured of a safe and action packed adventure that caters to the needs and capabilities of his clients. The encounters that we experienced were broad and engaging and the many different animals we had close contact with was amazing. Honestly, this is my second safari with Journey Into Africa and it has been life changing. The unique beauty of Africa is breath taking and to see the native animals unrestrained in their natural habitat has been such a gift to witness! The trip to Botswana and Zambia that we had with Andrew several years ago was a totally different experience, but equally magical and again filled with well thought out adventures! I can't wait until the next adventure with Journey Into Africa!!! I highly recommend this company for those traveling to Africa for an exceptional trip.

This was my first trip to any country in Africa, with all the worries that an unknown journey can trigger. Andrew's timing and flow of information was so helpful. His friendly emails and quick responses to my questions and concerns and his patience and good humor with my difficulty in doing new things (like sending an international wire or getting a Visa from Uganda) started me off feeling at ease. This feeling continued as each transition was managed in a friendly, experienced and thoughtful way. The sites we visited were key Ugandan sites for a safari. Our small group stayed in the most convenient, comfortable and friendly lodges. I was able to enjoy the food without worry and focus on the experiences with the animals and birds, the people and the countryside with no concerns for logistics. I saw all the animals I could have wished to see with the friendly and knowledgable guidance of Andrew. From the big sightings of elephants and lions in trees to the beautiful birds to the walks across a swamp and the boat rides, the trip was perfectly planned and executed.

Brilliant, exceptional, amazing are all words I'd use to describe the Botswana safari organized by Andrew through Journey into Africa. The camps were 1st class. Staff were excellent, guides first-rate, trackers a great addition to the experience. The food was gourmet, fresh, delicious, well presented. All accommodations were perfect, including the ones with outdoor showers. The daily schedule was rigorous but what we signed up for. Tons of animals especially at the Delta, although the dessert was a great experience and contrast too. We enjoyed that we were in camp with only a few other guests so it was a very individualized experience. The 4 of us traveled in the jeeps with 1 extra couple (so 6 of us total) for several but not all of the days. The transfers from 1 camp to another worked perfectly. High quality, customized, good value experience.

We just arrived home from Botswana - and amazing experience planned by Andrew at journey into Africa. The process of booking the trip was easy and Andrew was very helpful in curating our adventure. The trip was absolutely unbelievable and 1000 times better than we could have ever imagined. We can’t wait to go back

It will be difficult to do this review the justice it deserves as there are no words big enough to capture just how spectacular and intoxicating this trip to Tanzania was for me. I have been home for three weeks now and yet a good part of me remains there.
The private and permanent camp sites were beautiful with stunning scenery and accommodations well beyond my expectations. The staff at the camps were, without exception, an absolute joy – friendly and welcoming and attentive to our every need and request whether it was delivery of coffee/cakes to our tent at 5:30 a.m. or hot water for a shower after a game drive. They really could not do enough for us and did it all with a genuine smile.
And the food! My God the food! Lunches and dinners were, in a word, incredible. We had a chance to tour the kitchen at one of our camps, and it amazed us all that such delicious and varied fare came out of such a tiny little tent!
We were cared for and coddled 24/7, and the attention to detail on our itinerary meant we did not have a care in the world. Our days were full of fun, excitement and adventure and were an ideal mix of game drives and moving cultural experiences. Our drivers – Filbert, MacDonald, and Alfred were amazing and felt like family by the end of the trip.
As for Mr. Andrew Beckett, simply stated, do not even think about heading to Africa without this man showing you the way! The depth and breadth of his knowledge is quite astounding and his enthusiasm infectious! You will learn more in one game drive with Andrew than watching a half dozen National Geographic specials on PBS! He is the guy who put together all the pieces that made this safari magic, and he did it well and with more than a bit of elan. Plus, he’s lot of fun! Thanks, Andrew - see you in Botswana!

I can’t say enough great things about the Tanzanian safari we just finished with Andrew/Journey Into Africa. From start to finish everything was top notch - the communication, organization, camps, food, cultural excursions etc etc etc. Having Andrew along was fantastic. He was not only entertaining, endlessly patient and so knowledgeable about animals, birds, culture, geology etc, but it wasn’t until we were on the safari that we realized how valuable his years of experience were for knowing the best locations for camps, where to be at the right time to find animals and having the right mix of game drives, cultural experiences and down time. And a wonderful surprise were the local drivers/guides, who were also knowledgeable, helpful in so many ways and really funny.

We loved our trip. We’re already planning our next one and won’t bother talking to anyone other than Journey Into Africa.

Our safari in Tanzania with Andrew Beckett in February 2025 exceeded our expectations in every way. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable about the animals, birds, geology, history and politics of Africa, all with a wry sense of humor and a fantastic British accent as well!
My wife has celiac disease and has to adhere to a strict gluten free diet. In addition to the food being delicious and healthy, every camp and lodge location took great care in preparing special gluten free items for her.
The itinerary was a great combination of game drives, cultural experiences and two amazing hikes. It was truly a trip of a lifetime, I highly recommend Journey Into Africa Ltd for a complete African adventure.

The trip was perfectly organized and designed, with a variety of places to visit staying in different and excellent accommodations. The leader of the trip was extremely knowledgeable and made it interesting and fun.

A Safari was on my husbands "Things to do" list, it was very much on my "Things I never want to do" list. Added to which camping was involved, also on my "never want to do" list. So, no one is more surprised than me that I am giving Journey into Africa and Andrew Beckett a 5 Star Review.
The Safari in Tanzania was absolutely brilliant, fun and very well organised. All the staff we met on the holiday could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
As good as all these wild life programmes are, they do not do justice to seeing the animals up close in their natural environment, and in such large numbers. Added to which the scenery is stunning.
Enjoyable and fascinating visits to local tribes and a local school, were an eye opener to everyday life.
Excellent accommodation throughout the trip.
I loved the ensuite camping with showers!
All food was freshly prepared, delicious and plentiful.
Andrew and his team obviously love their work and they have a wealth of knowledge about both the country and wildlife.
Every day was busy, but so well organised that the only thing required of us was to get up in time for the delicious breakfast, then relax and enjoy the day ahead.

Going to Botswana with Andrew was an amazing adventure.The journey into the Kalahari Desert area was unforgettable. The animals were plentiful and very active, exhibiting fascinating behaviors. The desert terrain was unique in all the world.
I've been on a number of safaris and the leopard and cheetah sightings were the best I've ever experienced. The animals were on the move and we were up close and personal. We came in on the heels of the lion kill of a giraffe and we came upon a the scene of an elephant had been killed as well. We travelled alongside a huge wild dog hunt that was instructive and exciting.
The food, accommodations and companionship of the other travelers were all exceptional. The camp staffs were impressively well informed and fully responsive to our needs and wishes.

Andrew is an exceptional leader and made the trip come alive every minute of our time together. This is a must do-experience that relatively few have had the opportunity to be a part of. If you are at all able, go on this trip.

My dream was to go to Africa since the age of eleven. With Journey to Africa not only my dream came true, but it went above anything I expected. Andrew is the best guide for visiting Africa. His kindness, warmth and expertise along with his amazing crew, Victor & Henry made my trip to Tanzania the Best Trip Ever ( I have traveled quite a lot). The different camps (we visited 5 different parts of Tanzania), the food, the amazing animals we saw, learning the culture of different tribes, visiting school and spending time with the children all made this trip MAGICAL. For me going to Africa should be only with Andrew and I am hoping to have another magical experience with Journey to Africa.

Thanks to Andrew and Journey into Africa, our safari adventure holiday with our teenage kids was everything we had dreamed of and then some! Every detail, every stop, the length of time, the types of accommodation, and all the amazing additions we requested such a visiting a Masai school and bringing them supplies. We had such a wonderful time on our trip to Tanzania organized by Andrew Beckett. Andrew went above and beyond making sure we were fully prepared before arriving, and every stop on our safari was perfect. We saw Arusha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. The facilities at each camp were so luxurious with incredible food. Our drivers were fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, patient, professional and fun!
