When I got home from an Air Transat…

When I got home from an Air Transat vacation I found my luggage damaged with rips and wheel missing. I promptly put in a claim with Air Transat and received a very prompt reply. Within 3 weeks I now have a replacement piece of luggage. This company J P Grimard was extremely efficient and very professional.

Great customer service

I wanted to share how impressed I was with the service provided by the JP Grimard team. From my initial email inquiry, I received a prompt and helpful response, which immediately reassured me that my issue could be resolved.
Upon arriving in Montreal, I contacted the shop and stopped by shortly after. I was warmly greeted by a friendly staff member, Vanessa, who was more than happy to help and answer all of my questions. I also enjoyed meeting Shanti, the African grey, who made the experience even more entertaining and enjoyable.
My luggage wheel was repaired very quickly, and I received a call the very next day to let me know my luggage was ready for pickup. The customer service was excellent throughout, and I am very satisfied with my experience.

Inability to Admit an Error

I sent a suitcase to J.P. Grimard for repair and never received it back. When I reported the issue, company representatives initially insisted the suitcase had been returned to the correct address without verifying the details and shifted responsibility to the manufacturer, Samsonite. Shipping records later showed the suitcase was delivered to the wrong address (a neighbour’s home), and the parcel lacked my full name, preventing proper identification.

Despite clear evidence of misdelivery, J.P. Grimard repeatedly denied responsibility, claimed proof they did not have, and blamed the neighbour and me. The company failed to acknowledge its error, provide a timely apology, or take corrective action, turning a minor shipping mistake into a prolonged dispute that left me without my suitcase for months.
