I provided an honest review of a supplied product which presumably due to some negative feedback was not published on the website. I don’t see the point of providing the product review facility if only positive comments are accepted.
Trustpilot have advised that Ramsbottom have requested some additional background to my initial review which is as follows:
I recently purchased an Airforce One barrel fitted Chronograph from yourselves and submitted an honest review via your website. Fortunately, the device works independently of the associated App which lets it down limiting its functionality. The only issue I have had with the device itself is with the calibration feature which according to the instructions should allow the values to be adjusted to another Chronograph by pressing the up and down button simultaneously with the device powered down. This only results in the device powering up without accessing the calibration display. The main issue however is with the associated App which has poorly written instruction's with some of the App information displayed in either Chinese or English. The first shot recorded registers in excess of 1000 ft/sec meaning it has to be deleted from the string. Subsequent shots are unreliably recorded and the labels for the summary of results are transposed with ft/lbs being labelled as Joules and Joules as ft/lbs. You can get some meaningful data from the app if you allow for the poor format, but not ideal. Fortunately I have an FX Radar Chronograph as my main instrument but the Air Force One is nice to have permanently attached to the gun. To be fair, the Air Force One instructions are very clear unlike those included with app. I have added my comments with regard to the App at the appropriate App Store where it has already received poor reviews with direct access to the developer denied. I will continue to use the device itself for convenience, but have deleted the App and will use my FX Radar App for more detailed analysis.
My concern is that any negative comments contained in Reviews seem to preclude it being published thus preventing potential purchasers being aware of any potential shortcomings.
An update was received from the vendor stating that reviews were automatically published and none were pending.
I submitted my review twice with a week between in case there had been a problem with the first one. On both occasions a message appeared stating the review was received and submitted for moderation, but never published.
My concern therefore remains that moderation involves a certain level of censorship.

Terrible experience. The staff was unprofessional and rude, and the service was extremely poor. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place

Thanks to the team at J S Ramsbottom for another great customer experience! Their delivery was a day ahead of schedule and safely packed in an oversized box full of bubble wrap and styrofoam pieces to avoid any damage in transit. I will be using them again soon.
