I bought one of the same toilet seat…

I bought one of the same toilet seat two years ago and I kept the name because I found it very good quality, I need it to order one toilet seat for my other toilet and I didn’t hesitate to re-order, the only reason I don’t give 5* is because last time I paid £17 and delivery was free through EBay and this time it was £30 + £6.95 delivery.

Extremely poor customer care…

Extremely poor customer care department, shy away from their responsibilities and argue with customer. Shocking company beware of buying as you wont get satisfactory resolutions if their products turn out to be faulty.

In response to the reply I want to mention either misunderstanding or lies from the rep at pickfords. At no point am I wanting to be reimbursed for the additonal hours the plumber has spent or the damage to my kitchen ceiling, this was only mentioned as a matter of fact that due to the faulty valves from pickfords I have incurred substantial losses from my end.

As for your faulty valves which you still dont admit are faulty even after sending you a video as requested by yourself and you seeing that for your self, you then say you will arrange a site visit which you will sort out with the manufacturer to check and replace them of which I am still waiting for an appointment(so you are shying away from the problem and your responsibility towards the customer as you still havent sorted this out despite you saying you will).

Regards compensation I have asked for the cost of the replacement of the shower which I believe was more than fair which only broke due to having to access your faulty valves. There would be no reason to remove the shower at all if the valves were working as they were supposed to.

I bought a shower from you 10 years ago and have never had to remove it once it was installed even for maintenance. So once again whether you have misunderstood or have resorted to lies I will let you clear that up but this just gets more embarassing from your side so maybe its best to get on with the job of arranging a site visit like you said and getting the faulty valves replaced.

As a result of your whole approach to customer service/care you have lost future business and without doubt I will be using social media to spread this experience and point out the facts if you try and lie or dont do as you have promised regarding a site visit to replace your faulty valves.
I await to hear from you, thanks for your reply.

*Final Update - As expected both Pickfords and the Manufacturers have refused to sort out the problem even though it clearly states on Pickfords letter once an item is installed then its down to the manufacturers to sort out if faulty. They want me to pay someone to remove the faulty valves and incur further losses when its their responsibility, absolute joke.
Trading Standards will now be contacted and legal action if required.
***Beware and warn others not to buy due to their poor customer care. Many other companies much better out there for both quality of products and quality customer care team***

Thank you for your review Mr Rashid. We would like to point out the facts.

You are wanting to claim compensation for 6 hours additional work carried out by your installer as you are claiming that the fast fit brackets supplied by us are faulty. As a gesture of goodwill, you are wanting us to reimburse you for a shower that was not purchased from JT Pickfords and that was damaged by said installer due to overtightening.

We have explained that the fast fit brackets should have been tested prior to the shower installation. If there was a problem at the point of testing, that problem should have been reported at that point, however, your installer has continued installation. Your installer to diagnose the issue has taken down your kitchen ceiling when the isolation point is at your boiler. Your installer has damaged your shower at this point or at at the at the original point of installation.

We do not know whether by the overtightening of the nut on the shower this has caused the issue to the fast fit bracket in the first instance.

We have raised this matter with the supplier of the brackets and they are also in agreement as neither us or the supplier have ever had any issues with these brackets.

We have advised to bring the brackets into our Ecclesfield Branch for testing and we will replace if faulty.

Your installer has now installed another shower onto the brackets. It is your installer's duty to remove the brackets if there is an issue.

We are in disagreement with your claim for compensation for the additional hours your installer has worked as we deem this unnecessary and also we will not reimburse for a product which has not been purchased from us and which you have openly admitted your installer has damaged.

With regards to shying away from our responsibilities, we are not responsible for another company's products, however, we will always fully support issues relating to our own as we stating during our calls.

We hope this brings more light to the situation.

We wanted to totally rebuild a new…Bathroom

We wanted to totally rebuild a new bathroom. Shaun at Ecclesfield branch could not have been more understanding and helpful. Shaun advised every stage in choosing new sink, toilet, shower tiles and all the fittings.

It is refreshing to have proper good old fashioned helpful customer service, and some humour as well!!!!

The delivery team were so courteous and helpful as my wife was on her own when the delivered.

It is all installed and we hare so happy with the transformation. There is no other place you need to visit, a one stop shop for bathrooms.

Excellent service

After talking to customer services regarding the replacement of a bath panel, I was given excellent service and advice on which product to order and where to collect it from. On arriving at the showroom at Ecclesfield the Panel was brought to my car and loaded for me. No fuss and great service
